5/11/2024: I received a notification today that Amy from Blo Tulsa responded to this review. Notice Amy states that they refunded back all of my money for the service plus the tip. Instead of refunding the $5 for the correct service fee, she claims to have taken it out of her staff's tip! Besides being completely cringy, the screenshots show that not only is Amy making false statements, they are also attempting to blame the client (me) for their gross lack of point of sale acumen which caused the erroneous transaction error in the first place, basic communication etiquette -the emails speak for themselves, and integrity for attempting to bastardize the facts when everything is documented. The transaction history and descriptions clearly show when Blo Tulsa initiated a transaction and when CapOne's internal system initiated. At this point, this establishment has lost all credibility. Nothing is more harmful to a small business than a lack of integrity and growth mindset. 5/10/2024: It is now 6 days since Blo Tulsa has been contacted to correct their erroneous charges. They do not follow the published terms of service, nor do they follow the standards of service or communication that the Blo Franchise sets for their franchisees. I am now escalating this experience to the corporate entity for review. UPDATE: When you call the corporate number for Blo Dry Bar, it goes directly to a voicemail that says the mailbox is full and can not take messages. Now that I have exhausted all avenues of trying to get help with correcting this transaction, I have contacted CapitalOne to dispute the transaction altogether. I provided CapOne with the documentation and screenshots. CapOne refunded $20 back to my account the same day. read more

I had never been here before and decided to try it out for my wedding up do. It was super easy to make an appointment online and select the services I wanted. They even have an option to include notes of anything they should know. I wish they had the option to upload a picture of what you want to give them a heads up. This would've been particularly helpful in my case since I have a ton of hair and it's super long. Plus, I totally assumed what I had picked was a loose braid and it would be super easy. I was very wrong. Apparently, I picked a super complex style that required double the amount of time and double the amount of stylists. Thankfully, Jenny and Heather hooked me up (Thank you!). Both of them were available because I had made appointments for two people and only I showed up. This turned out to be a huge gift from the universe because there was no way only one person would've been able to do it all. I felt extremely pampered on my special day. I definitely enjoyed the princess treatment. They even give you champagne or rose if you want! Highly recommend and will absolutely return. Check out the pictures! I had my makeup done at Blo prior to my bridal shower that same day. First of all my make up artist was over 20 minutes late for my appointment. I had to wait and they were even trying to find a backup artist when she strolled in the door. There was no apology or anything. Called to cancel my appointment 24 hours in advance at 4pm on a Friday, nobody answered or called me back. Called again on Saturday morning, no one answered. Got an email saying my appointment was canceled. Now I find out 2 weeks later that even though my appointment was canceled 24 hours in advance technically, they charged my credit card. I was very excited to experience a Blo Blow Dry Bar for the first time but was terribly disappointed in the style and service I received at this location. I paid for a Holly Would style with a deep conditioning treatment and didn't receive either service as far as I'm concerned. My stylist was 10 minutes late for my appointment and what little she did say to me, she was sure I knew that she had a busy day and "we needed to keep going" so she wasn't late for her next appointment. My appointment lasted for about 40 minutes and I ended up with a bouffant/beehive hair style that was not styled with a curling iron. I had to curl my hair 3 hours later so I was presentable for a business conference. I have sent a message to the corporate headquarters since the service and a 20% tip were a total waste of money and time for me. read more

Although I love the concept of blow dry bars and I used to LOVE this place, I feel like the quality has dropped. Staff is always nice and friendly, place is always clean but the last two times I was in I left disappointed and had to redo my own hair at home. One time I asked for the "dream coat" which I've used before and I KNOW you have to completely saturate the hair, but nope they just did a couple sprays here and there. Laughingly told me it works just as well. This is a service they charge EXTRA for! One time I left with the middle of my hair still wet. I got consistently made feel like it was a problem that I have naturally curly/thick hair. If you don't like my hair bc it'll take you longer and make you late...then don't do my hair. Listening to you complain about how my hair takes forever isn't fun. One time I asked for the Pillow Talk and was told that it'd be easier for her to blow dry my hair straight and then I could do waves/curls at home. This just blew me away. I'm paying for this service, but not anymore. I will not be wasting my money here any longer. Here's to praying a DryBar opens in Tulsa soon!!! read more

I've been to several Blo bars across the country and this was unfortunately the worst I've been to and not up to the usual standards I have for a Blo bar. My friend and I were on a business trip and it was important that we had hairstyles we felt comfortable with. We both picked the holly would style and added on a deep condition treatment which wasn't worth it at all. We felt like barely any conditioner was put in our hair and we sat with it on for about one minute so total waste. When the blowout started we weren't even properly wrapped in a towel so our clothes ended up getting wet. Our hairstylists talked to each other the whole time and just rushed us through. I was amazed that neither one of us received any styling with hot tools, obviously it's hard to make a blow out last when you don't even take the time to add in curls with an iron. We must have gotten unlucky because the person next to us started at the same time as us and wasn't even halfway through her hair being dried when we were rushed out. Everyone around us was offered refills on drinks and we were not. I tipped 20% but deeply regretted it, I didn't want to make any kind of scene because colleagues of mine were in the area for a work seminar. I will probably be talking to corporate about my experience though as I know Blo can do better. read more
