Mr Bliss took over $6500 of $13000 job, made a huge mess and walked off the job. Stated he would refund, but' asked for some time to get the money back. Over a year with nothing. The material he did purchase was not suitable for job, and he left with some of what we had purchased. The time he wasted here was spent with excuse after excuse and most days he never showed, or showed late and left early. he was given every opportunity to make things right and he made no effort. He told me he had experience pouring concrete. He poured a pad alright, but it slopes towards my house, won't drain and pools water on it. Difficult to even sweep the water off with a broom. Told me he would come back and remove the forms and clean up the work area, that never happened. Broke off a fence post trying to remove it for the cement truck, told me he would come back and dig it out so I could fix my fence, that never happened. Told him the pad was not acceptable. He told me that he messed up, that he paid one of his workers to check his work, that they are sorry and please forgive them. Suggested I can just live with it or pay for the materials to replace it, or he would give me a discount on additional concrete work I had wanted done. I told him he needs to replace the pad, and he told me he doesn't have any money to replace it, but will save it up and do the job correctly. Asked him if I demolition the pad, will he haul it away. Responds that he would have to rent a trailer! I ask him his full name and business address and he refuses to tell me, saying it sounds like I want to take legal action against him and destroy his life. Then tells me I'm rude, and anybody else would be happy with that pad, that there is no hurry for him to do anything about it, I have a pad to sit on and a pad my dogs can go poop on. In response to water pooling on the pad, he asks if the water goes into my house. I told him when it rains and hundreds of gallons of water are coming off the roof, I don't know if it will or not. He told me that the rainy season is over. read more

Russell was extremely communicative and scheduled me with short notice. Russell is a high quality professional. His quote was very reasonable and his finish work was exceptionable. We had a break-in that showed us our security screen was worthless and our front door jam was weak. I contacted Russell and sent a few pictures of the damage and got a quote within a couple of hours. The quote was pleasantly less than I had assumed. I let him know that we are available throughout the day since we work from home. We made an appointment for him to come out to do the repair. About twenty minutes before the scheduled time, I got a text from Russell that he was going to be a little late because a job was taking longer than anticipated. I responded that it was no problem and thanked him for the update. Long story short, Russell assessed the damage, purchased the materials, performed the repairs and installation the same day. He then came back the next day and performed the finish work leaving nothing on the punch list. I highly recommend Bliss remodeling for all your handyman needs. First off he does respond from yelp pretty fast however once hired don't expect much communication. He had a really good price and I'm very particular about how I want things done as well as my husband. Because he seemed reputable based on the reviews at the time. He showed up the first day worked for 2 hours and then left. Ok it was a demo day so we let it go. Well he didn't show for 2 days after that stating that he was going around looking for our countertop. On the second day I received a text stating that he hired someone who did the bidding and she bid for the wrong material. When I tried to text him asking questions I wasn't getting responses in a timely manner. I then tried to call him several times no answer. (Mind you he's doing a job for us so I EXPECT communication efficiently). So... Because this is a future rental we settled on the cheaper counter that still looked nice. Well once he got to shopping for that on the 3rd day he realized the price of the parts wouldn't accommodate for any revenue for him and the price was basically closer to the countertop we originally wanted. He then "TextEd" me asking if we want to go with what we originally asked for. I then called my husband because I was livid! My husband happened to be home and spoke with him. He then called me stating that he would give us back partial of my money so we can put it towards the original countertop. Well he only brought back part of the money and said he would bring the rest on Monday. Which he did but then stated he needed to buy more material and needed more money. So I let him keep what he had to do so. He got the cheapest parts assuming that's what we wanted. Smh. Once the countertop ppl came that (he set up) were from HD they stated they would have to install it. And it was DOUBLE the price he quoted. Well then we had to go find someone else to do the countertops all together. He finished our bathrooms but failed to see the crack in our backsplash that he already installed (not a small crack either). But to late cause it was already installed. He did a poor job cocking the showers, water splattered out of the sides of both showers. My husband had to re-cock them both. When asked if he was still doing the demo. For the countertop At least because he started it I got a reply and set a date but it was 3 weeks from when we spoke so I sent a reminder assuring that that time was still good. I got the most attitude. Then when he came I was home with my husbands cousin. I spoke to him on how this job was becoming more time consuming and that he missed some tiles in the kitchen that needed to be demoed. He then got upset and put a big hole in my wall stating that because of him still doing our job his kids went from eating steak rice and beans. Because this was starting to go left my husbands cousin then called my husband who came home quickly to discuss the issues. His whole attitude changed once he was there. Since then we hired someone else to fix all the little shit that he didn't care to fix. So if I could -1 stars. read more
