Since one person was ahead of us for kitchen design, we weren't concerned about waiting our turn. But when we explained our needs, the agent seemed disinterested and distracted and did not have time to help us but stated that they would take our kitchen measurements and get back to us. They never did, and when we went back they didn't have our information. Needless to say, we went elsewhere where we were respected.

We had just…read moreleft the very friendly lumber yard with a good quote on materials and was sent over to the design center. The cashier sent us to the back counter where it said customer service where two male clerks were looking busy but had not one customer in front of them and neither on the phone. We pulled up a seat at the counter and they both refused to look up at either of us and after waiting awkwardly for 15 minutes, we left. I think if they don't want to talk to customers or even acknowledge us with any greeting, they should find another job. Sad comments for the business because this was our third trip there and each time the lumber yard was fantastic helping us find our materials.

Half way through the job they came to us and said they had miscalculated the labor and didn't understand that the original contract included having to tear out parts of the walls to make room for the egress. They wanted an additional $2,500. They lost the original contract. At that point I decided I'd rather pay another business double than pay Garden City Paint and Glass another dime. They were especially rude and condescending to my wife. For what it is worth, their installer Phil is a great guy and did quality work. Unfortunately, he doesn't make up for the terrible salespeople. I would never recommend them to anyone.
