When he was finishing the installation he informed us that there was an issue with two of the California shutter style panels. It was a mistake made at the factory. We might never have noticed but if/when we did we would have been disappointed. But Steve, showed us right away what the problem was and that he would have two new panels installed within two weeks. True to his word, this is how it went down. Can't say enough about this type of honesty. Word of mouth is the best and the worst advertising a business can get. So consider this THE BEST. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE FIRST RED FLAG! Even the regular work they did quote was done poorly. Ordered the wrong windows to start, I accepted an alternative window to keep the project moving, which also turned out to be poor quality. When I followed up about all the work not being done, they kept telling me they were 'working on a solution', but literally never called me back after each time I reached out. I believed this business is under new ownership. They all literally blamed each other. The owner said his employees were incompetent, the Administrative Assistant blamed the estimator, it was a vicious cycle of finger pointing within their own company. Avoid at all costs, fraudulent and lying to the core. Not surprising at all that they aren't BBB accredited.

Their service was actually what I would call "customer service"- a rare trait these days. I recommend them 100%! The one thing that really stood out to me is that they were willing to make 5 trips to my home in the course of this: 1 for the initial quote;1 to sign the paperwork (as in, they let us think about it and came back when we were ready!); 1 to do a confirming measure (I really liked that they did that!); 1 to install the windows and doors; one to finish the job. Please note- each trip would have been approx 90km EACH WAY! Thanks for being so great! We are very satisfied with this experience.

We had our entire electrical system rewired. It took weeks of work. My one suggestion is that Finan…read moreshould tell the home owner how involved the process will be. If I had known the state that the house would be in for weeks on end then I would have found a temporary residence and left them to it. The rewiring requires decisions to be made every day, and sometimes items to be purchased, so you have to be available during the day to take their call. The cost was very high, but we were charged in accordance with the estimate. The only extras were items that we chose to add on as the work was being done. Customers should carefully weigh the options that are presented at the initial assessment. There are items that I wished that we would have done and during a whole-house rewiring is the time to do it.

This was my second time dealing with Finan and so far, I am highly impressed. My great experience…read morewith them began with the phone call to their office. The phone was picked up and I was greeted by a friendly female voice that said "It's a wonderful day at Finan Home Services. How can I make you smile today?" with a real emphasis on "you". It made me smile. I told the lady my problem - a broken light switch - and she informed me that she'd send her guys out to look at it. They price PER JOB and not by the hour, which is really nice. The lady told me the guys would arrive (giving me their names, which I forget at the moment - one was Jeff) between 8-8:30 this morning. She said normally they have a 2 hour window, but this is the very first appointment. Excellent. Today the guys arrived at my house earlier than expected - arriving at 7:50am. They had the job done (both light switches - as it was a dual switch - replaced) within 10 minutes. The gentlemen greeting me with a bright smile, where highly cheerful, and very clean. The one who installed the lights had paper covers on his boots to protect my floor from the outside dirt, which was really nice. Jeff, the other gentleman who handled the financial transaction at this appointment, did not have the covers so he remained on the enclosed porch while we handled payment for the job. He thanked me and they wished me a great day, and they were gone. We also got a $25 discount since we had used them before, which was really nice. Before they left, he offered a book (which I got the time before) that explained the various services they do - contracting, plumbing, electrical, heating, etc. They came recommended to us by Roy Inch, who we use for our furnace, and I've not been disappointed. I highly recommend these people. :)
