The issue arose when after we discussed in detail which side the the opening hinge should be on the shutters, he still got it wrong on one of the windows. My fault for not going over the contract in detail before I signed, but as there was only one way for the shutter to open without hitting an adjacent wall, I assumed he had indicated the opening side correctly. Wrong! This became apparent when the shutters were installed. Three out of the four were done correctly and we are pleased with them. We did not accept the one with the incorrect opening side as besides the fact the hinge opened from the wrong side, it was damaged in shipment. We were told by Lonnie they would deliver a new shutter but the opening side could not be changed. Nor would he accept any responsibility in his part of this misunderstanding. We sent a complaint to corporate and the owner of this franchise called to discuss. We finally agreed to split the difference and call it good. My issue is with Lonnie's condescending attitude over the phone. He did not accept any responsibility for the error, blaming me as I signed the contract written as it was. We had planned to order more shutters for the rest of the house, depending on our initial experience with Budget Blinds. Needless to say, we have ordered the bulk of our shutters elsewhere due to a less than positive experience with this franchise. The quality is good, however if you do order from these folks, be aware a dispute may not be handled professionally.

i pay 1300/month in rent..there was no ac when we moved in he made us stay they 2 months without…read moreair. we had to threaten to withhold rent at that time he tried buying 1 window unit for a 1500sq ft home. then when it came time to move i gave him a 2 month notice he tried to mke me pay 3 additional month of with i was not going to b staying on the property. then when move out day came he threatened to withhold my security deposit and charge me and extra month rent if i was moved out on a friday. when it was agreed i would hve the entire weekend to move. he also stated he would hold my 1400 security deposit for 30days. after much debate. i had to weekend to move out and was told i would get my deposit back within a week.. i hve b4 and after pics of the house.. the house did not come with a fridge r blinds.. please think long and hard b4 u rent from him. he also tried to say i signed a copy of a lease i didn't not and could not furnish said copy.
