Blick is a shared office space frequented by Start Ups. If you have a start-up business and you are hoping to establish a base I would look no further than Blick Studios. Conveniently located within a stone throw of Queens Uni it's a buzz of activity. I rented a desk at Blick and this provided my burgeoning business a base and more importantly a trading address. I was provided with a key for the building so I was flexible in terms of the hours I worked. I also learnt so much from being based there - every other person in my office was a dynamic creative and the studio proprietors encouraged networking events, this was less of an office and more of a knowledge sharing base. Rent for a desk was relatively reasonable when you consider it included wifi, electricity and warmth. So if you are a Belfast creative and you're building a business from your bedroom I would suggest you slink out of your pyjamas and head down to Blick.

I first went here to attend the 'Go For It' programme that the Park runs; a series of classes 2 nights a week over 3 weeks teaching prospective entrepreneurs the basics of running a business i.e doing the books. The staff are absolutely lovely and have so much time for the people who walk through their doors. They really go out of their way to make things happen for their clients. What's more, all of the support is free-it won't set you back a penny. This is definitely the place to go if you're considering launching a small business.
