Highly recommend this tour when visiting Marseille! My husband and I were really into wanting to see Calanques National Park and would stop at nothing to do so. I did a ton of research and decided to move forward with Bleu Evasion and I am SO glad I did. We showed up at Port Rouge which was a slight distance from our cruise port. While we waited, it was evident that others decided to do the same excursion as us. We invited my in-laws along and they didn't know what the experience would entail, but were excited to see others joining us. After a short duration of time, the host started separating people off into the different boats that they would be on. Unbeknownst to me, I accidentally book our family on two different boats, but they were so kind and accommodated us. They moved some reservations around in order for us to be together. We quickly hopped on our boat and headed off see the Calanques. Our captain was absolutely phenomenal. She was funny, knowledgeable, and a great driver. She was kind, sweet, and remembered by father-in-laws name - which is a big deal to him. The Calanques were absolutely stunning and the water was beautiful. My husband even went in for a little dip. She provided endless drinks and snacks. This was definitely a peak when visiting Marseille. read more

We started the tour in time. The Calanques are beautiful and boat is a great way to see it and explore. The shop has wet suits, snorkel gear, lunch, and drinks. It was advertised that this would be an English which the only English spoken was at the end when he asked for a review. Otherwise would recommend! read more

My partner and I had a fantastic tour of the Calanques on the Grenadine catamaran. The cliffs are so beautiful when seen from the sea, and I appreciated that the captain gave us several opportunities to swim (even if the water was cold), including a visit to the Blue Cave. We got great weather and mostly calm seas. I would definitely recommend this excursion. read more

Our trip to the Calanques with Bleu Evasion was the highlight of our stay in Marseille! We did a 3 hour tour (9:30am-12:30pm) but I'd recommend the full day because the 3 hours just flew by! Our trip did not leave from the old Port but from Port Rouge, which took 2 buses for us to get to. Also, just be advised if you do not speak French, you may have trouble finding someone who can help you find the Bleu Evasion signs. We asked several people before we finally (luckily) found someone who was also looking for Bleu Evasion (and happened to be from Bordeaux) who helped us locate the launch point. They definitely need better signs and maps after purchasing tickets so you know where you are going. There were 10 people on our boat-5 of us were from the states and the other 5 were from other parts of France which made for a fun trip. Our guide was great at telling us the history (in both French and English) of different areas we were passing and different sites of importance. The boat took us to the Calanques and made 3 different stops to swim. There was snorkeling equipment on the boat too. The first stop was great snorkeling-lots of fish. The second stop was really cool because it was a cave that, at low tide, we could sit on the rocks inside. The third stop was near a beach. The guide had wine and crisps for us as well to enjoy. The waters of the Med are the most beautiful, bluest waters I have ever seen! The boat ride was fun too-very fast! Just be forewarned that the water was 68 degrees Fahrenheit so it is pretty cold getting in but once you do it gets much better! Bring towels and cameras! I hope I have a chance to return to Marseille so I can do the full day cruise! read more

We did the afternoon half day motor boat tour of the Calanques national park, and it was STUNNING! Our skipper was full of information and great stories about the landmarks. They provide some refreshments, but we also brought snacks onboard with us, which I would highly suggest. There is a grocery story very close to both of the ports that they take off from. The boat was comfortable and we really appreciated being with such a small group because we were able to give feedback on what we would like to do on our tour (i.e. swim/snorkel, go in caves, etc.) Everyone on the staff that we came into contact with was very friendly and accommodating. We had a phenomenal boat captain that took us to every scenic site. We took the 1400-1830 tour. He spoke both French and English. He explained the history and was very informative. Encouraged everyone to swim and explore the caves/calanques. Weather was perfect after a very hot and humid day in Marseilles. Beverages, snorkeling gear, and pool noodles provided. I am an avid swimmer and found out that just using goggles was easier than trying to use the snorkel. We do not speak any French and Bleu Evasion was very easy to find with Google Maps and following the signs after we got off the bus. Overall, this was easily one of the highlights of our vacation. read more

I would've happily given a 4 star review as the places we visited we're stunning! The guide was also very friendly and I appreciated that the boat wasn't overly packed. First for 5 hours for $112 a person and they could at least provide a snack I mean even chips or cookies would be fine. The real problem though was we didn't get to go on the scheduled date. Our Uber couldn't find them even with their extra map they emailed us. We were two minutes late after being dropped off at the wrong dock and running around an enormous boat yard looking for a needle in a haystack. I tried emailing, calling, and texting 10 minutes before boat launch to try and help find them but they answered nothing. (Interesting cause when we finally got there the woman kept answering her phone) Apparently they didn't even have us on their list because they printed it 24 hours before and we booked 12 hours before. (Why not double check?) hence why the guide didn't even know to expect us. Honestly I'd just expect a little more understanding that they are very hard to find and instead of recommending to arrive 15 min before launch they should recommend 30 in case you get lost. Still it was magnificent and I'm glad we could go the next day. read more

Thank you Bleu Evasion for taking me to my true paradise. I still dream about swimming in the clearest, bluest waters...One of my highlights hands down when I was visiting France! After seeing so many dreamy pictures of the Calanques in Cassis, I was determined to squeeze this into my jam packed itinerary! Luckily, I came across Bleu Evasion that was offered in both English and French with decent prices. The boat leaves from Marseille right out of the port and is about 6-8 people per boat. I did the 3 hour boat tour in the morning for 50 euros per person. They also offer full day tours which I highly recommend if you have the time because 3 hours was such a tease! The boat took us out to see the Calanques and made different stops for a refreshing swim. The best part of the tour was that they made stops at locations away from all the tourists. They provide snorkeling gear so I got to snorkel in literally the clearest, bluest waters I have ever swam...even clearer than the waters in Hawaii! I saw different fishies so clearly it was glorious. The biggest highlight was when they took us to a grotto where you swim into this cave and the sunlight shines into the water giving it a glowing effect. Beware, the boat ride back is a bumpy one! It felt like a fun rollercoaster except you might get a little wet. Luckily, no one was seasick. Bring your camera, towel, and lots of sunscreen. I highly recommend staying just one night in the ghetto city of Marseille purely to see the Calanques. read more

We booked a trip with Bleu Evasion online in late April for a tour when we visited Marseille in early June. We received a confirmation email and our card was charged. The morning of the tour we ubered over from our airbnb to check in and they did not have our names anywhere. After searching through books and on the computer, one of the staff members said "oh, there they are" pointing to I assume our reservation showing on the computer. They proceeded to tell us we could not make it on the tour due to not having enough room. We were not given an apology, nor could they fit us on any other tours, they just said they'd refund the card. It was a bummer considering we were really looking forward to a fun trip that we'd had planned for a while. I'd highly recommend calling a week or at minimum the day before to confirm your reservation! read more
