We needed a quick and easy dinner option near the Santa Maria Inn, so we found Blaze Pizza and made our way over, despite the rain. Love that there is a lot of seating inside, which made it easy not to worry about getting stuck out in the rain. Plaza had plenty of parking so that part was easy. This wasn't my first visit to Blaze Pizza (though a first to this location), so I knew I wanted to get a build your own ($12.99). Friend and I weren't super hungry so we split the build your own and it was plenty for both of us. This location had the usual toppings in stock, employees did a good job building our pizza, and it did not take too long for the oven to get our pizza cooking. Always top off your pizza with either the pesto drizzle or barbecue drizzle or both to add a little more flavor. If we are even back in Santa Maria for another meeting, Blaze would be on our list of dining options. read more

This location stood out to me because of their employee. I wish I got the name but the gentleman on Nov 23 at 7 pm, was so polite and thoughtful. Hubby and I chose pizza with all you want toppings. I wanted meat to be on one half only coz I am vegetarian and he carefully divided the meat and veggie areas. Not only that, he asked if I wanted him to change his gloves after he put the meat toppings before he put veggies!! How very sweet!! Pizza was so delicious, hot and fresh out of the oven. I've been wanting to try Blaze pizza for quite some time now. So when I felt it was pizza time, Blaze came to mind. I wanted to use the app but the reviews were bad, I won't use a restaurant app if the rating is 3.7 or below. So I ordered online and still was having little issue with submitting. I got to the site at the time the pizza said would be ready and wow the line was big. I went straight to pickup and there it was on rack, I said my name to the associate and he just pointed and my name was on there and I didn't have to do anything else but walkout. I ordered a vegetarian and a red vine original crust. I can say they were excellent pizza but..... one 11 inch pizza is not enough. In order to be full I would need 2 11 inch pizzas. Me and the wife shared both pizzas and we agreed we were still hungry. I'm not sure if I want to spend close to $40 for 2 people. I like the concept, the menu, the fact that all the doughs are vegan (and taste great, you wouldn't know it's vegan), the ease of ordering and how fast it's ready, but I'm on my second visit at this location and I'm disappointed in the fact that both times half of my pizza is missing cheese or some other ingredient. In my most recent order, the cheese and vegan chorizo didn't make it onto all the slices, the cheese was mainly in the center and right side slices, so the rest was just bread and sauce, and the vegan chorizo was mostly all on one big slice. The same thing happened with my first time ordering here, and it was a pizza with only 3 toppings. Even the cheese bread barely had any cheese on it. I did not have this issue when I ordered from the AG location. First time ordering here I received regular red sauce instead of spicy red sauce I selected. Second order I didn't get my side of ranch or napkins & parm I added to the order. All small things that are not a huge deal, but it is overpriced if those errors are to be expected, and if the standard is to skimp out on the cheese/toppings like that it should cost less in my opinion. read more

Little disappointed; I ordered through DoorDash last month & the store notified my driver that two items were missing. I declined alternative items & assumed the issue would be handled on their end... Imagine my surprise to find that nothing about the order was altered in any way when I went to reorder through DoorDash just now. I have nothing in app or in an email indicating that I was refunded for the missing items. Until this issue is resolved, I'm going to have to skip out on this location, I find it shady that my items weren't cancelled on their end, they clearly noticed they were missing & were told to cancel by my driver. I went in the morning to Blaze. I am so impressed with this one worker I think named Carlos. He was bouncing off two machines pressing dough, after he finished making our dough he immediately started our pizza. He was super duper fast, I could not believe my eyes. By the time we listed our toppings we were already being charged. Carlos is excellent at what he does, and I kept telling him and his co-workers that he needs a raise because I could see the hard work he was doing compared to his co-workers. While he was busting his work, his co-workers were chit chatting by the oven. Carlos is amazingly good! read more

My boyfriend and I chose to eat here at blaze in Santa Maria today. Let me start off by saying Blaze needs to do some training with their employees big time! My bf and I each got a build your own and the employee helping us was asking what we wanted on them, when she was adding toppings to my pizza, I had asked for mushrooms and she proceeded to put broccoli on it and in all honesty not a big deal but when I told her that I had asked for Mushrooms and I turned to my boyfriend to make sure that is what I said, my boyfriend agreed with me but the employee proceeded to tell me that she heard broccoli, broccoli doesn't even sound close to mushroom but anyways she then looked confused on what to do next, I told her she could just remove it but she hesitated and then my boyfriend stepped in and said that she could just put it on his pizza, I am not saying the customer is always right because that's not always the case but she at least could have apologized and just took it off not a big deal but she proceeded to disagree with me which really rubbed me the wrong way. Came here to support the local humane society . The service was really slow but the employees here were in good spirits and very friendly. I'm glad to see that they have more options like keto crust and gluten free crust, but they were out of keto crust :( The lady told me they always sell out in the mourning :/ i would be here all the time if they had it :( decided to get a buffalo blu salad. It was really good . It had blu cheese, red onions, yellow peppers, and chicken. I love this place, haven't been here in a while and the one time I finally order to pick up from door dash and thinking it would be ready once I got there since I paid for it... I get there and the lady says that she accidentally gave my order away to someone else ‍ I'm like "wow" but she did apologize and offered to make me another. To be fair I did try this place on two separate occasions to see if the first time was a fluke. It wasn't. The skimped on the toppings, even when I asked for extra bananna peppers. And then they burnt the pizza. They weren't very busy either. The manager did refund our money so they did handel it well. Hopefully you have more luck here than we did. read more

She has the worst customer service i have ever experienced. 12/23/2018 Got 2 pizzas from Blaze tonight. Will NEVER go back. The kids working there are not competent. When we walked in, there was one employee out front. It said Danny on his hat, so I guess that's his name. No one else to be seen. They had let the Mozzarella cheese supply run out. "Danny" went into the back room to get some more. Another employee then emerged from the back and was going to finish our pizzas. We told him we were waiting on cheese. Danny still wasn't back. New guy says "I'll go get some" and came right back with a fresh container of cheese. Danny still wasn't back. The new guy finished our pizzas before Danny showed up with another container of cheese. I'm not sure if Danny had to milk a cow and make it himself, or he just got lost. Our pizzas finally go in the oven and everything is looking up. We collect our pizzas, take them home and find they were both burnt on the bottom. In my opinion this store needs some retraining and a responsible manager on sight at all times. read more
