Unfortunately the dinners didn't fit in my company allowed price range (Switzerland is way too expensive), so tapas it was! Honestly it was perfect. Cheese w chutney, salami, falafel and some local meatballs. All delicious and filling. Great experience. Just lower your cost Switzerland and I'd try more! I'll return next time I'm in Basel.

By the time for the kitchen to open, I was ready to head somewhere else. Delicious craft beers, a friendly bartender who spoke perfect English, a comfortable space to sit inside (heated area outside) and a speedy wifi. This was a superior spot. A pleasant experience in Southern Germany…read more Located by the freeway, it's hard to miss this place. Plenty of parking space right across the street. Bier garden is a nice size and beautifully decorated interior. They brew their own bier. I had heir weissen and unfiltered bier. I find that with biers in Germany are pretty much the same in taste because they require only a particular number of ingredients to call it bier. Nonetheless, their biers are good quality. They bake their own bread and people go there just to buy it. They give you 2 slices with every entrée. Prices are on the medium range. 2-3 euros higher than where I live in Germany. But the food quality is also good. It's home-country style cooking. Tasty and well made. I had the pork braten with sauerkraut and bread dumpling. Well balanced meal. Käse spätzle is also good but oily from all the cheese. Good authentic flavors and they take EC cards. Didn't ask about credit cards though but 90 percent of businesses in Germany only takes cash.

Very friendly brewer and nice atmosphere. For CHF 15 you can get 6 tasters of 125 ml and keep the glass which is quite a great deal. Beers are all very well crafted and well balanced (for example a perfect cream ale), they are mainly american inspired and they don't save on hops.
