This is my favorite place in town to eat. This is a great sports bar and I go here for all the big events. Great people, great service, great prices, and more. I have never had bad food here. Rooms for large events and outside eating. Each table around the outside has their own TV and I usually use headphone when I am by myself. read more

New management required. Strange place with a bad vibe. I was looking for a local beer and was sent toward Blarneys. I went to the bar to order. The bartender did not know which beers were local - he knew all about the major US brands. After a few minutes another man went behind the bar and started washing dishes. He was throwing everything from the glasses (ice, lemons, napkins, etc.) into the dish water. The first bartender said, hey pour all that other stuff out in the trash. The second guy says it does not make any difference to which the first guy says, its better to have clean water. I agree. Then a waitress comes up with a load on glasses. The bartender grabs a stack to help her...then says, I didn't touch you, did I? She responds "no." Something is going on here - too much tension behind the bar. Unsanitary practices behind the bar. Blarney's has such and awesome beer selection it puts every other bar to shame in Mitchell. They even have more of a selection of fine top shelf liquors. Well maybe we just went on a bad night but this place is sub par. We sat down and waited several minutes before our waiter came. We placed an order for fried pickles and bosco sticks. I am pretty sure appetizers are supposed to come prior to your meal. So 30 minutes later the waiter brought everything. Appetizers and food. This is unacceptable. I can tell he forgot to put in the appetizer order because when everything came out it was hot. It wasn't sitting back there waiting forgotten. I'd like my 35$ back and the wasted hour. The waiter never even asked if we wanted dessert or more soda. Another waiter came over and I asked him is It normal to serve appetizers and food at the same time. He replied no of course. I always tip... no matter how bad it is. Except in this case. I didn't even feel bad when I scratched out the tip part of the receipt. read more

Very disappointing today...went on game day Sunday, first NFL Sunday of the season and you would have thought that they would have the place staffed...I ordered a beer and an appetizer combo in the first quarter and didn't see my food until midway through the 4th quarter...when I normally would have had 3-4 beers, I had two because the waiter never got around to coming back. The fried appetizers came out looking like they were 10 seconds from burning, all dark and black in places, why someone would send out that kind of food is beyond me, they should be embarrassed. Severely understaffed for what should have been an obvious busy day. I won't be back nor wildlife commend the place either. read more

I stopped in here to watch some football on my way across the state. The first problem came from the fact that the TVs (about 10 around the room) were on a few games only. I inquired about changing them and only the ones over the bar are connected to DirecTV so enjoy the TV games at home at the bar for the most part... I ordered the broasted chicken 4-piece meal with mozarrella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were charred but the cheese inside still tasted fine. The chicken had potential (1 of the pieces was delicious) but unfortunately 3 out of 4 pieces were burnt and dried out entirely. Big waste of $13. The service was good. There was one nice bonus and that was a TV at each of the booths so I could have a nice view of the TV game. read more

Close to the interstate and lots of options. Tons of beer on tap and full bar to help you wet you whistle. The food 9 out of 10 times is good as most places it's hit and miss some days. Lots of TVs and seating. Servers are very good and friendly. Tends to get very loud if it's busy but overall it's a great place to eat and get a drink. Very popular place good for families and favorite by local college students. One of the better sports bars in town for sure. read more

Bad. Poor service from our unfriendly server. Everything is fried. Salad consists of ice burg lettuce with a bit of shredded cheese on it. Nachos have that yucky canned cheese. Everything is sloppily put together. I had the soup and salad one night. The soup was chili, which is a menu choice, so no soup. That night I threw up for 3 hours. Could have been the stomach flu. Poor servicr. Food arrived cold. Margaritas were severely overpriced at $30 for a pitcher that barely had 3 glasses. When confronted the bartender lied and claimed that it has twice the alcohol as normal. Tasted like lemonade. Unwilling to make things right for the customer and argued with us. This use to be my favorite bar in town a couple years ago. My last two visits have been less pleasurable. The food has gone way down hill and the service sucks for lack of a better term. Irish Pub! Yes! This one, no. The fact that their billboard advertised stone FRIED pizza should have given me a clue as to the lack attention they would pay to everything else. To wit: Filthy (see photo), poor service (seemed to be only one of the three actually waiting on people), 2 orders of hot wings - 1 came with sauce 1 without - then I was told it had sauce - they come seasoned and breaded - yes, but mine were dry - not a drop in the basket while my dining partner literally had an inch of the stuff in the bottom of his basket, pizza - yuck! Maybe they should have stone FRIED it, because it was bland and tasteless the way it was, did I mention it was filthy? AND they pulled tables into the room right on top of the mess on the floor - no attempt to clean it up, ordered a Blarney's Special Martini - got something red in a soda glass, ordered a salad - never got it - when asked, the waitress said "Oh? You did?" Seriously, one of my worst dining experiences. read more

My golfer fiancé proclaimed this to be his fave bar EVER! Irish nachos were amazing, as was the Reuben (we shared both). Good selection of cocktails and large, frosty mugs for beer. Been there a coule of times for meetings. A great place to have a meeting. The food was good and the service was great. I highly recommend.

Well we cant give them a zero so one star will have to do. Have eaten at Blarneys several times and I am not sure why. They have screwed up more orders and we have had bad service more than I can count. So tonight we decided to give it one more shot. My wife said I was crazy. One waitress took our drink orders. After a long wait and several attempts to get our waitresses attention we were waited on by another waiter who took our meal order. Yet a third waitress came to out table noting that all of our drinks were empty and apologized for the poor service. The fist waitress was nowhere to be found. Brought out meal out and it was wrong. My Wife called it. We refused the meal and our first waitress re-entered our order. Waited with high hopes. Second order came out wrong. Game over! This is not the first time this has happened. Waitress says Manager requests that we pay for half even though we are not eating and refuse the order. Manager comes over and asks if there is a problem. We have been in the restaurant for 90 minutes and our food has not yet been delivered correctly. After some snide pushback from the manager he agreed to allow us to pay for our drinks and appetizers. Oh he so kind. Not. Save yourself the headache. Go to Ruby Tuesdays, El Columpio or Corona Village where the food is consistently good and the staff is more than willing to serve the guest. read more

Excellent deep fried pickles! Bartenders are nice, and willing to give tasters of beers with which you aren't familiar. I admit, we chose it because it was across the parking lot from our motel and we were in the midst of a thunderstorm, but it was a friendly place to grab a bar meal and a beer. This place is horrible!! I have given it adequate chances too. I have been staying at the Comfort Inn next door for about a week and came in 3 or 4 times hoping the service would get better each time but it never did. The first time I came in, I waited 45 min for my food and they gave me the wrong order. When I pointed out that I received a sandwhich instead of a wrap I got an eye roll and waited another 20 min before I got my food. The other times I came in I had to ask for bar rags to clean the sticky filthy bar, and also ask for a drink each time rather that being asked. This place sucks and management needs to do an audit! read more
