Really, a fantastic hotel. The location is IDEAL if you are working at Airbus, because it is close…read moreand there is a free bus just outside the parking lot that can get you to Airbus in a 10 minutes or so, depending on your stop within the campus. For the city, it's not great, but it's not impossible - the Rueschpark ferry stop is right out the door, literally. It can take about 40 minutes to get in to the city, but it's a nice ride.
The entire place feels new, clean, and welcoming. It's modern, but still comfortable. My room had a view of the river, which is perfect. I highly recommend getting a river view room, even if it is more expensive (mine was not). Being able to watch the big ships come by all day and night (and overnight) is a pleasure, as well as just the general view of the river from your room.
Staff are extremely helpful and their English is generally fantastic. Breakfast is huge, and well worth the price as it has many options. Dinner in the bar area is also quite good, with a small but satisfying menu and some good beers (along with the river view). The regular restaurant - I did not try it for dinner, but I have heard it was very good with a bigger menu and same view.
There is WiFi throughout but it apparently has a limit. I used the wired connection in my room and it was free and very fast.
On the 6th floor (top) there is a nice, small gym with good equipment and some TVs. I do wish it overlooked the river instead of the parking, but that's okay. There is also a nice sauna which I wish I had a chance to use. It looked very relaxing.
One negative is I can only find 1-2 English TV channels, and while my German is good, I occasionally would like to watch some English TV. It's just news. Oh, and another is that there is no iron in the room.
