The only thing which was off putting; I saw 2 of the female servers were eating appetizers right off the trays. I didn't say anything because it was not worth the stress but they could have snuck a snack after or behind the scenes. A little more discretion goes a long way. We also really enjoyed the spa suite directly across from the venue. The bride and our small gathering of bridesmaids had massages and facials. The outdoor ceremony can be a bit interesting...without any shade. Think of Florida heat..Other than that its was a good venue.

I had a disappointing experience with SofloChefs when I decided to cancel an event within the…read moredesignated timeframe, as per our contract. Despite following the proper procedures, SofloChefs not only refused to refund my deposit but also ceased all communication once the refund was requested. It's worth noting that our contract clearly stipulates a full refund of the deposit if the cancellation occurs within 30 days of the event. Frustrated with the lack of response, I had to resort to disputing the charge with my credit card company. Fortunately, I succeeded in the dispute, and the credit card company refunded my deposit. Regrettably, based on this unsatisfactory encounter and the apparent deviation from our contract, I cannot recommend SofloChefs to others. Update: In response to the owner's reply. I attached the contract.

My earliest memory of SoFlo Chefs was in 2018 I believe having their chocolate cake at a baby shower (mind you I hate chocolate cake). When I tell you that was the best cake I've ever had!!! The last time I used them was this year for my birthday. My guests were over the moon with the food and service that was provided. They do catering, staffing, drinks, anything you need, they will strive to make it happen. Definitely a staple at your event!

Walking into Galaxy Skateway, the first thing you smell is the 90s. I don't know if it's the…read morecarpets I walked upon in '93 or the rental skate spray, but there's a certain aroma that transports me back to a time when the only thing to do in Melbourne as a kid was to skate in endless circles. The walls are hues of yellows and blues that come from a JC Penny catalog circa 1990. The skate floor is a faded blue, and the sound of clanking roller skates fills the area only to be drowned out by the blasting music of contemporary pop hits. The sounds clash between yesterday and today. There are a few phone screens that glow underneath hand-drawn cartoon characters. But that's the charm. Galaxy Skateway doesn't pretend to be something new. It embraces what it is, a time capsule of what life was like. Going to the snack bar, you're greeted with a menu board with plastic blue letters, and you get a discount when you pay with cash. When my daughters walked into the skate rink, one thing that stood out was how many people were just... skating. People weren't on the sidelines looking at screens. All that was there was a DJ and simple skating games like Four Corners and Stoplight. Cliché songs from the 90s like "The Macarena" played as people rolleed past, all under the flashing neon lights. To me, it was a piece of nostalgia for a time long since gone. It doesn't have updated features and the building looks straight out of the 90s, but that's the point. You don't go to Galaxy Skateway to experience the 21st century. You go there to experience what life was like before Steve Jobs walked out on stage with his iPhone.

Getting in is super easy, just give them cash and you can walk right in. Unfortunately my night was caught super short because someone had a medical emergency and the ambulance and cops were called. They answered questions even outside of what I would consider "normal" business hours. They sent a text three days before to confirm the date and time, which alleviated the nervousness of a now show! They were efficient and professional both during drop off and pickup. No worries with "inappropriate" language or conversation around the kids. The one thing to know before you rent is they only accept Zelle or cash as payment. If you are not willing to do one of those, then you may want to go somewhere else. It wasn't a problem to me. They did not ask for any money upfront. They accepted payment once they were there for drop off, which, again, alleviated any uncomfortableness.
