Before the pandemic, you could walk in and have those great conversations or even listen to a great conversation or even they'll have music playing that just goes with the vibe. Everyone there know how to cut but I was going to Jean before he introduced me to Aiise. Aiise does freestyle braids & many others things but she only works with NATURAL HAIR. But when she cut my head I was gassed up all the way up. I couldn't stop feeling myself lol. I felt light skin checking myself out in the mirror. Felt refreshed. Aiise was always good with giving me tools on how to keep my hair healthy and ever since then it's been growing and it's been healthy and I'm loving it. My last style was freestyle and she added a design to the side of my head and added the beads for a dope touch... man oh man, I couldn't wait to see or hear the reactions from others. I probably had 1-2 people say otherwise but besides them I heard things that had me smiling for days if not weeks. " dude your hair is sick " " your hair is fire bro, I wish I could do that " & So much more. It felt nice because she really does a hell of a job. Pricing is perfect for braids, washing, blowout, & all the other things she offer. All I'm saying is if your a guy or girl & you don't know what you want to do with your natural hair... go right over to Zoe's hair studio and ask for Aiise & she'll be straight up with you! I hope this helps. I seen all the other reviews but tbh this is one of the best haircut places I go to. They are clean especially this time with COVID But that's all I'm going to say I'll leave the rest to you. ( hair cuts are elite. )

I walked into this store and I swear it was like I walked in with a third arm growing out of my chest or something. Everyone looked up and gave me a stare like I didn't belong. Okay, fair enough. I'm a Chinese man living in a predominantly Jewish and Latin American/Mexican area so seeing an Asian may be unusual (despite there being four take-out Chinese restaurants in a four block radius). Anyhow, the owner gives me the same stare and holds it longer. He didn't greet me, no "How can I help you?" nothing. Instead he just gapes. So I tell him I'm (duh) there for a cut. He tells me to sit down in the only free chair. I noticed it was hot and that neither the fans or A/C was on, and the shop was full so it was pretty disgusting inside temperature-wise. I sit down and he walks over, takes the barber cape and drapes it over me. Before I can tell him what I want he walks away. No one even says hi and I just sit there, sweating, getting hotter. I look back and the owner is messing around with something out of sight. He walks back and I tell him what I want and he said "Ok, I'll be back." I look back and realize he's messing with the air conditioner. He's blowing a hair dryer into it, brushing the filter etc. Seriously? You're going to give up a paying customer to work on an A/C that was purchased when Reagan was still in office? I gave him a few extra minutes but then decided to screw it. I took the cape off and left. As I walked out, the owner seemed shocked I was leaving. I told him I was going to go shopping and come back. I did go purchase some items from a nearby store. When I walked back, he was still working on the A/C. I thought better of trying again. To be fair, a lot of neighborhood kids were inside and seemed to have a good relationship with some of the other barbers so clearly there is some customer loyalty. But seriously, if you want my business, at least treat me like a customer and don't ignore me. I'll never bother with this place again.
