I don't know a more competent and effective counselor for that purpose, and I know many. I have referred my own clients to Michael, but also family members, all people I care deeply about and desperately want to see experiencing relief and success. He has never failed to deliver. I am especially impressed by Michael's demonstrated habit of referring out when a client's needs are outside his specialization. He could easily trade on his reputation to draw clients who might be better served elsewhere. But he is a true specialist. As to his manner, Micheal is wonderfully approachable and relatable. He's easy to know, and a pleasure just to spend time with. No expert ego issues. I will continue to rely upon him for clients experiencing the often devastating impact of OCD. He's the real deal (in a field where that's all too rare). I highly recommend him, and without reservation. If he's not the right guy for you, he'll know before you do, and he won't hesitate to steer you in the right direction.

I've been working with Michael for a couple of months now and I can't say enough positive things…read moreabout my experience with him. I had been misdiagnosed for years and been through a few poor therapists before finally finding him & having him confirm my OCD diagnosis. I felt immediately comfortable talking to him about even those most uncomfortable things, and could tell he genuinely cared and understood. He has so much knowledge not only from being trained in ERP, CBT & ACT but also from his personal experience with having OCD. It's so relieving to have a therapist who truly understands the struggle and is living proof that you can recover and take back the power OCD has stolen from you. He has a positive attitude and is your biggest cheerleader in your recovery without promoting any toxic positivity or fake enthusiasm. He really helps you get to the root of your obsessions and compulsions, and understanding what to do with that information. He sends you wonderful articles and homework assignments to use as tools throughout the week and gives great book recommendations to supplement weekly sessions. I still have a lot to learn but I feel as if I've already progressed so much within the short time I've been working with Michael. I started out feeling hopeless, terrified, resistant, confused, desperate and depressed. I was worried I was beyond help, and overloaded by all my issues, especially having health anxiety during a pandemic.. Now I am learning so much more about myself, making sense of my issues, learning how to become comfortable discomfort, and getting closer and closer to the light at the end of the tunnel each day. I am excited to see how much further I can go. If you are unsure if you have OCD but suspect you might, he can spot it from a mile away & his assessment tools help identify what areas you are struggling in and may struggle with in the future. I would 100% recommend him to anyone with OCD.

I also want to add I had to order a new debit card around the time of my first appointment, so I was delayed in making my initial payment, but Lera worked with me and was so patient and understanding. She is kind and smiling with a attitude that is very easy to walk into as a new patient. I especially love her feedback throughout the session. I've never been able to let go of anger and fear like I have in my sessions with Judi. It was amazing! I feel like I get something accomplished every session. My therapy sessions with Judi are always productive. Each session helps me build my self-view and self-esteem. I never tire of saying, I am happy now. That is with Judi's help. During my therapy, I have been given a difficult autoimmune disease diagnosis. I don't know what I would do without all of her help and insight over things like handling the healthcare system, physicians, and the minute to minute pain of having a progressive disease. Judi is a very large contributor to my living a very full and happy life. I can never thank her enough.

I take away some nugget of wisdom every hour I am with him. I view my time with Troy as valuable for my emotional and mental health as much as my gym membership is for my physical health or my time in church for my spiritual health and I will pay for his services even if I am not going through some crisis or hardship at this point. Last thing I will say that has been important to me after using several therapists is people tend to search for a specialist or a certification that matches their prompt issue and that may work until your problem seemed fixed then you start questioning the value you get in subsequent visits. That has caused me to go in and out of different offices for about 10 years and I felt like I was rehashing the same issue over and over but in a different department. Troy has been my one stop shop and can really empathize with me in a variety of areas due to his own life experiences and journey. He has a lot of rapport from my standpoint as well as education which means a lot to me. I really cant say enough good things about him. Thank you for helping me navigate this journey of life.

He was eager to learn, felt a call to leave corporate America to become a counselor, and impressed me with his genuine attitude of care and concern for others--his clients and his colleagues. For several years I worked closely with Gary as one of his clinical supervisors in the early years of his career. Through him I was able to learn about Renewing Hope and their Christian values. I came to trust Renewing Hope very much and I have at times referred people to them because I believe they do good work. Gary has become a very experienced licensed counselor whom I trust and recommend.

When I started my EMDR healing journey, my life changed so drastically! I also started the nuero feedback with Briant. Seeing them for therapy has helped me combat the effects of PTSD, ADHD, and bipolar disorder. I got into a healthier relationship, started eating healthier, working out more and finding out more about myself. They have a great team who are always hands on from the secretary's to the actual therapists. They are really good about making sure that you have your sessions in order, being attentive to your needs and giving out great references to psychiatrist that are able to communicate on which routes are best suited for your mental health. They are great about making you feel as if you arnt alone and you are really heard and not judged. For once in my life I feel as if I can sleep, maintain a healthy diet, and communicate better with my loved ones and peers. But of course there are always the general fall backs you can have, they are so great at keeping you from feeling guilty or losing sight of your journey. I can honestly say seeing their commitment, passion, and care really has helped me be a better version of myself I never thought I can fall in love with again when I looked in the mirror. They help you learn about yourself, discover things you never realized, and balance out your life. I have also sent many of my friends and peers to them and have received nothing but phenomenal feedback. I would definitely say call them and send them an appointment. Another thing that is also great is that they are really good about dealing with the inconsistency of people with adhd. So while they teach you to hold yourself accountable, they are good about keeping you accountable for your appointments.
