Although she is not covered through my insurance she is sweet enough to work out a plan that works for me. I'm fortunate to live a few miles from her office and would rather see her than someone else who is covered under my work insurance. If you need any form of therapy I do recommend coming to see Dr. Shana Clark!

We all have our stresses: Work, relationships, family, friends ... and you can't always turn to close friends and/or family because A) They're your stress triggers or B) They can't give you unbiased feedback. Especially my family. Opinions, opinions, opinions. Sometimes, you need a professional. Shana Clark is a licensed professional counselor, and she specializes in so many issues: relationships/couples counseling, anger management, career counseling, problem solving, drug/alcohol abuse, grief/loss, anxiety ... I like that she has a spiritual background, and she is one of the few in people in Houston who uses the Thought Field Therapy/Emotional Freedom Therapy (TFT/EFT) and Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT) aka "tapping" to clear of any negative emotions, energy and thoughts. She's also very honest and doesn't "shrink" you ... she tells it like it is based on professional experience. I dig it.

I had never seen a counselor/therapist before so I was very picky and did a lot of research. I wanted someone who shared the same faith with me and had experience handling the issues I was dealing with. I narrowed my search to Jamie and that was one of the best decisions I've made in my life. Right from my first meeting with Jamie, I felt very comfortable, zero judgement, I was free to bear my heart out to her and she diagnosed the root cause of my issues which was a life with no boundaries. I had the biggest light bulb moments I've ever had in my life during our sessions. I spent over a year with Jamie and each session was super refreshing. I looked forward to each session. She uncovered a lot of connections from my past that were affecting some of the decisions and choices I was making. It was mind-blowing. I am a stronger woman with firm boundaries because of Jamie's help. She helped me work through each childhood hurt that was causing me depression. With her support, I had multiple difficult conversations with those in my past who hurt me and with each conversation, I was able to forgive and move forward and I felt a huge boulder drop from my heart. I am happier, healthier, no depression spells, have a very strong sense of self because of my time in counseling/therapy with Jamie. I've been able to finally drop my victim bags and realize that I have a choice and I'm making positive choices every day to forgive, love, and think positive. I've been recommending her to my friends and family ever since. I recommend Jamie to everyone going to emotional turmoil. She is a one-of-a-kind counselor/therapist. Thank you for all your help, Jamie. I'm eternally grateful.

DO NOT GO TO JFLOWERS. I went to JFLOWERS and they did an awful job taking care of me. There bougie…read moreservice did absolutely nothing for me and others that I had spoken to. At first they seem to have their act together. But If you have been there or are planning on going to JFLOWERS they do and will care more about their arrival gift bags and lunch spreads than they will care about you. When you arrive you will get paired with a "buddy" that will watch you, be your friend and will watch over you. However, JFLOWERS does not train the person that is assigned to you. I know for a fact that there was no formal training of these people and they are just thrown into the fire with no formal addiction, psychological, or counseling training--they simply wing it with their experience. JFLOWERS broke traditional addiction protocol by letting me leave and go home for the weekend when I should have been under care. They let me continue my addictions at home. Granted they give you a choice and others (guardians) may prevent that but they don't keep you on the straight and narrow when they most importantly need to. There were many days when there were lapses were 2-3 hour breaks where you they asked you to take a walk or sit around. During the 2 months I spent at JFLOWERS there was some much off time sitting around doing nothing. JFLOWERS is a joke. My review at the end of my stay was 15 minutes. After all the bio feedback work I did, they finished the review in 15 minutes. JOKE. As for the cost. $200k is an absolute rip off. There are so many places that do better. ONCE AGAIN, DO NOT GO TO JFLOWERS. You will be sadly disappointed.

I ignored the bad reviews when I was looking at this place for my father, because I was hopeful…read more That's how they get you - prey on your desperation and hopefulness. We spent SO much money and time on this place. The things that they promised they did not follow through on. In retrospect, a new dr that we are seeing pointed out that most of the people here, including J Flowers himself, are not Drs. Yes, they have Ph Ds, but they are not medical drs. One of the meetings they invited family to during my father's stay was a 30 minute session about "brain mapping" . Led to a whole lot of nothing. And the "geniuses" and "experts" here didn't think to do one at admission for comparison to the one they did at a month in. There are two possible reasons they made this decision: 1) they were too dumb to think of it 2) they knew that there would be no difference and it would not be impactful. TL;DR if you have so much money it doesn't matter, sure, throw spaghetti at the wall and see if this place works. It probably won't. If it doesn't at dismissal, they absolutely won't do anything to set you up for success once you leave (despite my asking, they did not help with any follow up care once my father was dismissed). Otherwise, save your money and your time. Look somewhere else. At some point this place will probably be audited (I'm working on that right now!) and they will have to change a lot of their practices because they're preying on people who have a problem and also have money. The fact that the two positive reviews on here are from people who either work there or refer business to this place speaks volumes. Don't give them your time or your money.
