You know when you know deep down that you are really in over your head, but instead of just sitting down to do your research you tell yourself over and over that it'll all just figure itself out on its own? Maybe I am the only one (doubtful). My financial situation went from hanging on like many people prior to the world flipping upside-down, to just barely making it (code for charging more necessities on the "emergency" plastic) for all of pandemic, to "uh-oh - what am I going to do now?" A major dental expense in August, followed closely by a huge car repair bill set me way out of the possibility of my "pay all of my bills on time" commitment. I had to do something, and it had to happen fast - like NOW, otherwise I would never sleep. I had received a referral from an acquaintance at work. She spoke so highly of Blake Goodman's Office's care for her that I knew I needed to at the very least give them a call. That call changed literally everything for me. I was greeted with not just professionalism, which we all expect from an attorney office, but more so, empathy, compassion, sincere caring (Dora). I was offered a free consultation to go over what I needed, what I had in mind, answer questions, get a feel for how bad 'my bad' really is... Prior to the appointment, an online questionnaire was required. This really helped me look at what we needed to talk about, what I wanted to ask. Oh. The. Shame!!! At my appointment, again, I was greeted with such warmth, calm, empathy - all-the-while I am losing my mind with panic about what I am getting ready to do... you know, the dreaded "B" word. Dora and Atty. James Terry reassured me at every turn. It really was going to be ok. (And when I called a few days later with more questions, Atty. Josh Humphries was able to answer them and calm me right back down immediately.) There are 2 required online classes associated with their services. These classes were easy, and surprisingly interesting, informative, helpful - dare I say, long overdue. The office accepts payment plans - which was a necessity for me. Their fees are more than fair, especially once you see the huge stack of paperwork that is generated on your behalf (and all of the phone calls and texts you send while trying to breathe... oh wait, maybe that is just me!) My journey is almost done...(Started process end of August, will be all done mid-November). I just have one last stop and then I really will be able to sleep again. I sincerely could not imagine having gone through this process without these exceptionally skilled individuals.
