My experience & the experiences of many others show a pattern: Blaise Alexander Subaru in PA has become the perfect example of why people don't trust dealerships. Their tactics are consistently misleading, their communication is terrible, and their service department has no regard for accuracy, honesty, or customer safety. * Bait‑and‑switch behavior: They'll tell you one thing when selling the vehicle, then completely change the story when it's time to honor that promise. Even basic issues that were supposed to be fixed "within the first few months" suddenly become your problem once you try to hold them accountable. * Service department that makes things worse: People bring in cars for warranty work and leave with vehicles that barely run--some even break down immediately after leaving the lot. They claim they "test drove" the vehicle extensively, yet Subaru Starlink reveals they barely touched it. The dishonesty is unbelievable. * Constant contradictions depending on who they're talking to: A woman brings in the car? Suddenly it's "dangerous," "needs thousands in repairs immediately," and "the bearings could fail any second." Her husband calls? Magically the tires are fine, the bearings are fine, and repairs "aren't urgent." This dealership absolutely does not treat customers equally. * Terrible communication: Weeks go by without returned calls. Service claims they "don't get messages." Sales blames service. Service blames sales. Nobody takes responsibility for anything. * Pressure tactics instead of real solutions: Instead of fixing the issues they promised to repair, they try to push customers into trading in the vehicle they just bought--at whatever value they decide. At this point, it's clear Blaise is not interested in customer service, honesty, or even basic competence. They have a near‑monopoly in the area, and they act like it. Buyer beware. For your own sanity, drive 30-50 miles somewhere else. You'll save yourself months of frustration, broken promises, and potentially thousands of dollars in bogus "urgent" repairs. BUYER BEWARE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE A WOMAN: After my experience with Blaise Subaru, I will NEVER purchase another vehicle from any of the Blaise dealerships. I bought a used vehicle from them and was told by the salesman they would fix any issues in the first 3 months I owned it, but also that in his experience they'd often fix things for a bit longer than that. We immediately noticed the rear camera was completely fogged on the interior and that a seal on the passenger side front door was broken and made for a VERY noisy ride. Prior to 3 months, we brought in the vehicle and had those issues dealt with, although it took multiple appointments and tons of phone calls. Their service department said they had an issue with getting messages and often it would take a week or two to get a response. During this time, we noticed the car was burning through oil at a rapid rate and asked them to check that. They didn't, they just changed the oil, apparently due to a miscommunication between the service desk and the technicians. At the same time, they told me that it needed new tires and new wheel bearings. When they sold me the car a few months prior, they said it had new tires (it did!). They also told me wheel bearings just give out suddenly and there was no way of knowing beforehand that this would be an issue. They told me I had to do this multi-thousand dollar repair right away because it was incredibly dangerous. I explained they would need to replace the wheel bearings, as it was still within the reasonable service window and the only reason we were past the 3 month mark was because of the communication issues in the service department. At this point my husband started to interact with them and got completely different information. Suddenly, the wheel bearings would be good for another year, and the tires were fine. As for the oil issue, he was told the sales department would need to pay for any additional repairs if we wouldn't and we had to speak with them directly. All of this took ages to deal with because of the communication issues. The good news was my original salesman was now in a management position, so I assumed he would stand by his word. Instead, he called my husband, said he heard we were unhappy with the vehicle we'd had less than 5 months and we could return it, but he'd have to look up the current value of the vehicle first and that's what they'd offer. All we wanted was the vehicle fixed and to get a straight answer about what was actually wrong. We have given up trying to work with them and will be taking the vehicle somewhere else to get serviced. It's too bad they have a monopoly on car dealerships in the area, but next time I buy a car I'll gladly drive 50+ miles to avoid them. read more

If I could select no stars I would. Blaise Alexander Subaru Service Department is a joke and sucks. I took my 2019 Impreza there to have warranty service work done and since they started "repairing" it they have done nothing but made it worse to the point it will not even get me home from their service department without breaking down along the highway. Since February of this year they have had my vehicle more than I have supposedly repairing it. I contacted Subaru of America and left them know that they should remove Blaise from their certified service facility because they ruin vehicles. They will lie and say how they test drive it and so on when I have the Subaru Starlink app that tells me every time it is started and what the mileage is on it at all times and they will still claim they are driving it long distances to test it. read more

Just in to the dealership in Lewistown. Dan was helpful and I received appointment the next day for oil change. They noticed I needed/or was close to needing brake pads which they did on the spot. They noted that brake fluid flush was needed/wondered if that was a thing so I went home and researched and sure enough it is recommended these days. I must be getting old/don't remember needing this with my previous cars. Making appointment today to have that done. We are a Subaru family. We have had 10 different subaru cars....two of which had over 400,000 miles on when we "traded" for a used or new. Love the service....keep up the good work. David read more

Their service sucks and I had 2 Subaru's from there catch on fire......... Yes 2 and nobody cared nor helped to try to get me a new car. The second car was a loaner and I was told that if the plastic belly pan had been pushed up from snow that they've seen a bunch of them catch on fire! Unreal!!!! Don't buy anything from them once they got your money they could care less about you!!! They wanted me to turn it into my insurance because their brand new car caught on fire for no reason twice people!!! They are horrible and hope this gets out!!!! They never asked if I was ok in either fire all they cared about was trying to sell me another car for $500 off.......... I'd never go back!! Trust me they will be sorry cause I'm gonna bash their horrible service all over might even call the local news!! read more

I actually worked with 3 of these places so I'll make this a generalized review. At this location in particular it's not bad. The place is decently accessible and clean. However, my problem is with the sales team. I tried working with Rome and after he came off as helpful and knowledgeable he then proceeded to waste my time. After we communicated for a couple weeks on a possible trade, the day I drove all the way there from an hour away he waits until I sit down to tell me he can't help me. This was after he didn't bother answering my phone calls the day of to whether or not he could. That's really not cool in my book. Needless to say I won't do business with this location or any others for that matter. Blaise has a seemingly bad habit of "pick and choose" their customers. Sorry guys you just lost one! read more

I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to take their car to Blaise Alexander, that would be cruel and unusual punishment. I hit a deer back in December and they supposedly repaired my car. I got it back and thought it was street legal. Nobody told me anything otherwise. First, they were supposed to fix the breaks. Less than 2 months later I had to pay a friend of mine $160 to do them the correct way. They never wiped the writing off the window off the driver side door that said "no brakes." Then I went to a concert and Philadelphia and got a parking ticket, which I refused to pay because I was under the impression my car was street legal and the parking meter patrol just was too stupid to realize it. Well, they weren't wrong. I just got pulled over last night and into an argument with a cop because I thought my car was inspected. But now I have a $106 ticket because my car wasn't inspected because NOBODY AT BLAISE TOLD ME. They just said, "come get your car." I am pretty certain most people would also think this means their car is back to being drivable. So not only do I have to pay for an inspection that I thought was done now, there were SERIOUS issues with my car that were not addressed. And I could have blown my engine because of their negligence. How does the insurance company know the issues I was having with my car was not related to hitting the deer? This is the most absurd thing ever. I always hear horror stories about Blaise Alexander and now I am experiencing one myself. Avoid ALL their dealerships like the plague. read more
