We were connected with Rose and Rose/RandR Lending back in 2023 through a Mortgage Broker I found…read morethrough FaceBook. We were not informed about the nefarious dealings with Rose and Rose/Blair Rose/RandR Lending when we got a 2nd mortgage with them. This lawyer and his firm are CROOKS!!! After a year of never missing a payment and struggling to communicate with somebody from their firm to discuss a 6-month extension (just until we could find another lender with a better interest rate)...we spoke to his clerk AnaMaria who told us "not to worry" and that "they would reach out in the new year with renewal papers". January 2025 came and no communication from Rose and Rose nor any renewal papers either. We were shocked when Rose and Rose sent us a demand letter that arrived on February 21st via Regular mail...they indicated "that their clients were no longer in a position to continue lending" and they wanted full payment + discharge fees + penalties etc by February 25. I spoke to his partner Gina, who was extremely rude and unprofessional (she actually shouted at me over the phone) when I inquired about the demand letter. Again, I explained that I spoke with AnaMaria briefly in December 2024 and she told me that Rose and Rose would send renewal papers in the new year. Gina got extremely quiet and said "well, I was not informed; however, we will send renewal forms to you next week". Well guess what! No renewal forms were ever sent by Rose and Rose the following week. Rose and Rose still kept taking our monthly payments. March 2025, Rose and Rose began proceedings to take our home!!! No discussion, no recourse and no way out but trying to sell. In April 2025, I was connected with an amazing lawyer who was able to stop Rose and Rose for the time being. We were also connected with a reliable, ethical and fabulous Mortgage Broker who was able to find another lender to take over the Rose and Rose fiasco! However, Rose and Rose still made attempts to take our house with continued Writ of Possession proceedings; Rose and Rose also continued to create obstacles in our closing with the new lender, where Rose and Rose kept adding outrageous and exorbitant fees, and kept giving my lawyer a pretty disgusting run-around (ie: person she needed to talk to would be in an "emergency meeting", no promised call-backs, changing stories, changing the person who was handling the case constantly)! In the end, we were able to close and get Rose and Rose off our back but not without much hardship. We learned a huge lesson in all of this!!! Research both the lender, mortgage broker and lawyer prior to proceeding and signing on the dotted line. If I had know this back in December of 2023, I would not have proceeded with Rose and Rose and would have torched the deal in a heart beat.
