I then inquired if I could obtain 15-20% discount as it is a customary discount level for most timepieces of this caliber. He told me that if I knew so much about his business, then I don't need to purchase from him. It was such an abrupt retort to a normal question during sales. He was right, I didn't need to purchase from him. So I thanked him for his time and promptly left.

I came into Steffel because I knew they sold the brand of watch that I own. My watch needs a new…read morebattery, and I went to the desk displayed/sold watches. I asked the saleswoman in that section if she could change a my battery, and she said, "No. You have to go to a Jeweler for that." O.K., that's acceptable. What wasn't acceptable was when I asked her where the nearest jeweler was located... how do I get to one? I told her I am not from here (although I have lived here for about a year, but I didn't tell her that) and she looked at me, very serious, and proceeded to ask me, "Do you have a cell phone? Get on the internet and type in 'nearest jeweler'..." She was still talking, but I had begun to walk away at that point. THIS is by far the rudest, of rude interactions with customer service that I've ever had. Even on a bad day, this is NEVER an acceptable way to talk to a customer.

The ladies at the makeup register rudely rejected my request stating that they accept no returns! Even 5 minutes after a purchase!!! Wow!!! Never again will I step foot in this store of entertain the idea to purchase ANYTHING from their makeup department. Very low bar service and a major disappointment! Highly recommend sitting down in one of the outdoor tables and ordering an aperol spritz on a sunny day and just people watching. Best thing! We came for the Saturday morning flea market and they had so many awesome things. From clothing, to vintage pieces, cameras, decor and all kinds of cool things. The flowers were absolutely gorgeous, wish I was visiting for more days. Grabbed some cheese at a local shop of the market, a bottle of wine, fresh bread and sat at the little rooftop garden area and did a little floor picnic while we sunbathed. One of my favorite things we did while visiting and just got to take a little break from walking and going. Such an awesome market with so many options and little shops.
