Once there the employees were very receptive and empathic to our problem. They ran a couple tests and while the tests came back with bad news, they still helped us out by knocking a couple bucks off the total cost. Not only that but with more shows to play and the fact we couldn't take the van any further, firestone allowed us to keep our broken down van on their lot for a few days while we figured out a solution to our problem. I took my car to them for coolant on July 19, 2026, and we did not get a call or anything about when it was going to be ready or fixed. We picked our car back up on July 25th, 2026. We paid for the service with no problems. As we were leaving the Firestone, our car would not pull. We went back and told them that the car would now not pull/accelerate, and the Manager stated he knew what the problem was and the service guys must have messed up the throttle because it was close to the plugs that they had put in. I left my car there, and he stated he would fix it. I went back in to find out what was wrong with my car on August 11th, 2026, after many stops in to see when they would have my car fixed. The manager kept saying he was busy and had not had a chance to look at my car. After several conversations, because now I am pissed. The manager then states that it was my battery that was causing my car to not pull/accelerate. He states he would get to my car fixed. I get a work order today, August 25th, 2026, and then go by the store to see my car was parked as if my car had been fixed. I go in, and the manager just hands my husband the keys with no explanation or anything and says it is fixed and walks away. An old man that works there then told us that they had to jump-start our car to look at it. After all this time, I'm sure they did. Not to mention, we had to rent a rental car while we have waited all this time. I then go get in my car to leave after such poor service. My car does not starts. We go back in to speak with manager who is now in the service area and we tell him the car does not starts. He say, "Yes I know, I do not know why they put your car out there like that because we had to jump start it". The same manager that gave us our keys. He then tells us that he will put a new battery in the car and will have it fixed in a hour and to come back because his worker was not available to do it at that moment. Not anything about they just our car off or issue with a battery. While my husband was still at our car we notice that the hood of the car was open so we popped the hood to see what the problem was and closed it to only notice now the hood will not close. We then told the manager and he got upset and stated, we will take care of it tomorrow morning. I am so unhappy with FIrestone in Florence, South Carolina on Hoffmeyer Road. They do not have qualified service men and they do not know what they are doing. I tried calling customer service to complain but the gentlemen on the other end was no help either. I am looking for any recommendations because I will get answer. THIs was the second time this location fixed something on my car and I had to bring it back. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!

We had recently brought in a service van that had one Catalytic converter stolen, and one still attached. The service request was to have the vehicle straight pipes and parts returned. After being notified the repairs were complete we picked up the van and were told the cat that was still attached was removed and sold. With no notification, And no discounts or adjustments to our bill. Why would any business do that to a customer and not at the least notify them of what was going on. Please be carful with taking your vehicles here. Make sure to ask plenty of questions and double check the work that was preformed. Let me be clear I am not outraged at the price I'm outraged at how they handle their customers.

Made an appointment and dropped off truck first thing. They called before lunch to advise what needed to be done to the brakes after they inspected them and to verify my intentions. Called back around 2pm to advise truck was ready. Cost was about $250 LESS than quoted. Excellent service, price and timeliness. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would have taken my truck to the local GMC dealership I bought my truck from and where I have been a loyal customer for 20 years but I am tired of having to haggle just to feel like I am supposed to be grateful for the discount they give me when the out the door price is 2 to 3 times more than I can get repairs done elsewhere by an equally qualified mechanic. The Wheel Country technician diagnosed the problem in the rain, removed the nail in the rain, and when I asked what I owe, he said don't worry about it, have a nice day! This outfit definitely makes my short list for future service!
