Wayyyy overpriced for what you get. Go to Tenuroc. It's better, AND cheaper. I've shot at both and you quickly figure out that the Tenuroc choice is far better and the folks running Tenuroc are polite and helpful...unlike the attitude you get from the help at Black Jack. Save your money! read more

First time shooting here. We got here at 8 right when it opened and rented a golf cart. Took the orange course, great for beginners. Ladies who are new to shooting a shotgun, wear something thicker to protect your shoulder. Great time getting out of the city! read more

Wow!!! Where to start!? We went on a Wednesday mid-day (Im a nurse, bf is self employed so we are lucky to be able to go when it's slow). There was only one group there and we were assisted immediately by the lovely front desk girl. Prices were transparent, free coffee which was DELICIOUS, and the golf carts are in great shape. Definitely agree with other reviews that they need some gun racks on the carts, but other than that, we had a wonderful day. Perfect day date, took an hour to get here and we spent about 2 hours there. Totally worth it. We shot at several different spots and hit 100 clays, and our total came out to be $93 which included $30 for golf cart, some snacks, waters, ear/eye protection. That's an outstanding deal. We're from northern VA so up there that'd be an easy $200-$300 day. We brought our own guns and ammo so that's also helped. We are going back with my dad this week and cannot wait!!! The membership sounds great too. The booths were all operable and we had no technical issues. Highly recommend!!! read more

very well kept very professional lots of fun, a great way to entertain your guest and brush up on your shooting skills

First time trying Skeet I am hooked. Went with a group of friends for some fun and laughs. The place is well run and maintained. Staff is accommodating and helpful, all of us being new to the sport that was critical. The lady behind the counter was patient and informative. Safety was explained to us before we headed out for our adventure. Being so close I will be frequenting Blackjack. read more

After checking the web site found the days and hours open there is a note to check the calender for special events with a link. the link takes you nowhere. Called during normal hours. No answer. Drove one hour to get there. At the gate which was closed to other cars with shooters turning around. NOT HAPPY read more

By far this is one of the most exciting things we've done on the Bachelor Trip. Booked a reservation for my Brother's Bachelor trip here and it was fantastic. So at the start they give this card it holds all your clay information and the activation of the target system. Place it on the device and the system boots up. Each station has 2 clay pulls, roughly 12 - 14 stations per section. Orange is the easiest while Black is the more advanced/faster clays. Since we were a big group, the women gave us 800 clays on our card and once we were done we paid for what we used and I bought 4 boxes of shells. We were a group of 6 guys and we took turns shooting 2 shots per station. We had 800 clays at the start and ended around in the 600 range after an hour of play and used 3 out of the 4 boxes in the hour. Shells we're about $15.99 per box (comes with 24 shells), golf cart rentals are $50 each, shotgun rental is $50 each, and 140 clays at .55 cents which is about $77. An average cost for would be around $260 for 6 people give or take. Sadly we only stayed for an hour due to weather conditions. But I would do this again in a heartbeat. The location is huge, gorgeous and quiet/peaceful. read more

Two different visits, two weeks apart, and two very different experiences. Happened to go the first time and was cordially greeted by the counter person who explained how the courses were laid out and their relative levels of difficulty. Then asked if I was a vet, which I am, so That got me break on the cart rental which was then $20.00. Even happier that they had discounted pricing on Tuesdays which was 35¢ a clay. It's printed on my receipt as "Discount Tuesdays" which I still have, so it's obviously their policy. ...or, was. Exactly two weeks later, again on a Tuesday, I had a very different and unpleasant experience with a gruff and very blunt guy who pushed a newly hired lady out of the way to handle our transaction at the counter. He said there wasn't any discount on Tuesdays and charged us 55¢ a clay and there wasn't anything like a vet discount in place. The courses themselves are very nice, the confusion at the counter and the lack of people skills, not so much. I am an active and experienced Clay's shooter that shoots with about a dozen other individuals and at several different clubs. We're always interested in visiting different venues for the variety, but in the future, this won't be one of them! read more

Nice place to shoot at, but their prices are stupid-high for what you get. Good five stand but really poor skeet and trap. The karts are second rate with no gun racks, but they charge 30 bucks to rent one. 57 cents a target???? Give me a break. Even Quail Creek isn't that high and they are way better than this place. Wouldn't be so bad if they created a nicer experience, but their pricing goes up with no advantage over a cheaper course. Delusional pricing. Shoot for about half their price over at Tenuroc. read more

This place has only been opened about 2 years and every time I go, I see that they've made more and more improvements. This is a great place for first timers or more experienced shooters. The courses are so big that even when the place is really busy, you still feel like you've got the place to yourself. I've been here maybe 5-6 times and I still haven't even shot at every station. One thing I like here is that they rent new Beretta Silver pigeon shotguns. My shotgun is the nicest Benelli they sell and the rental guns at BlackJack are nicer than my shotgun. They also have a ton of really nice / new golf carts. You'll definitely want to get one. This place is just too big to walk and it's nice to just take a ride around the place and check everything out. The golf carts do NOT have a shotgun mount so, if you have your own gun ... be sure to bring a case or be prepared to just hold on to your shotgun while in the golf cart. That is really the only downside to this place but, I hear they are working on getting a mounting system set up on the carts. Just make sure you check the "calendar" section on their website before you go. This place does a lot of corporate events and they usually stay open during the events but, it's better to go when no events are happening. In the last few months, they have built a couple of towers with throwers on top. Which is something you don't see too often. They also opened up a really nice three story 5-stand area and they are working on a skeet course as well. I love this place. I can usually find something to complain about everywhere and I leave satisfied every time I go to Blackjack. The only thing this place needs is a good spot to eat close by ... this place is kind of in the middle of no-where and there's just not much around as far as restaurants and whatnot. read more

I hosted a shooting event here and everyone had such a great time that we're planning another one! Apparently laid out on the grounds of a former golf course, shooting stations are all located in shady areas with beautiful views. The clays vary from low to high, slow to fast so every station is a new challenge. We opted for their catered bbq lunch which was very good. read more

Very nice course, well maintained, good presentation of targets, friendly people. Only thing they could do is have water available on the course. We will be back when in the area. read more
