Dr.B has created a warm and welcoming -yet professional- practice. She's a perfectionist and is supported by a well selected team.

Dr. Luxl's office was good enough to see me while visiting Wilmington on a Saturday morning. The…read moreoffice as open and judging from the emptiness of the waiting room, I wasn't taking anyone else's place, but still, kudos for them seeing me. Unfortunately, that's where my graciousness ends. While the staff was friendly and helpful, Dr. Luxl himself was not what I'd call a 'warm' person with a gentle bedside manner. The (very expensive) veneer on one of my front teeth had broken off on the trip, a result of my bad finger-nail biting habit. It came off in one piece, so I thought bonding it back on would be a no brainer. The fact I was recently uninsured had me particularly nervous. Two hours in Dr. Luxl's office, most of it in a chair, and the absolute, raw drama he went through on telling me how the veneers just don't work, how I would need to do them all over again, how he just didn't know if he could bond this back on, yadda yadda yadda. I was literally sweating with anxiety and fear in this man's chair from his stammering and fussing over how he just didn't think he could do this. At one point, I became SO angry, I was about to take the little veneer from his hand, give him a four-letter word goodbye and head to the nearest convenience store for a tube of super glue. What Dr. Luxl lacks in bedside manner, he equals in gross self consciousness with any hint of concern for his patients' comfort and well being. In the end, he bonded the veneer on, insisting I would eventually bite into a sandwich to see it crumble. Its been six month, the veneer is still there and I think Dr. Luxl should have had more faith in himself and his craft. So, thanks to Dr. Luxl's office for seeing me, and to Dr. Luxl for FINALLY putting my veneer back on; but I'm afraid I'll never go back unless I want the torture I experienced that February day.

Two concerns with Dr. Luxl's office - first, billing. I went in for a routine cleaning and they…read morewere about to x-ray me. I asked if it was necessary and was I covered, b/c if I had to pay I did not want it done. They checked with my insurance (or so I thought) and told me I was covered. Then, 4 weeks later, I received a bill. I contacted Dr. Luxl's office to express my concerns and needless to say they wrote it off as being my responsibility, not theirs, to check with insurance to see what I'm covered for. Like an idiot, I still returned for a procedure a few weeks later. With zero warning whatsoever, I was told the good Doc hit a nerve in my mouth. Next thing I knew, my face ballooned to the size of a softball and was significantly bruised. It took 4 weeks to heal. I missed work, could not eat and was never even told this as a remote possibility. The explanation? this has only happened to a few times in all of his years as a dentist. great, thanks doc. that comment was very comforting as I was on a soup diet for weeks. How did it happen? I must not have opened my mouth wide enough. bedside manner at its finest. and how long would it take to heal? oh, he couldn't say. that is outside of his realm of expertise. When you visit Dr. Luxl, do so with caution.

This is the type of service when I wish I could add MORE stars!…read more I have undergone many (sadly, too many) gum procedures in the last 5 years with multiple periodontists and NONE of them the even came close to Dr. Sierakowski's professionalism, friendliness, and technique. In fact, Dr. Sierakowski recently performed a procedure on an area I've had to do 3 times already (ugh!) and this is by far the most confident I have been in a successful outcome. Most of the procedures I've experienced before left me spitting blood for about 48 hours, not being able to speak, major swelling, and let's not go into my severe hangry phases from not being able to physically eat! However, Dr. Sierakowski's procedure was clean and virtually painless - I kid you not, no pain killers needed!! I'm not saying that's the case for everyone, but I think it speaks highly of his skillset! The entire staff is friendly and focused on your well-being. The atmosphere within his office reflects one where everyone seems to get along and wants to help each other. They are quick to respond, always smiling, and deserve every single star a review can give.

When cleaning his teeth you dislodged a crown and never did any dental interventions. The tooth was exposed for several months. He finally went to your office , with a swollen face, terrible tooth pain... While you performed a dental exam, you made comment. "What happen to the crown." With prompting you gave him a Antibiotic, no Pain med intervention, and a dentist recommendation. It appeared like you could not be bothered. No worries. We found another Dentist ( Not the one you recommended) that hopefully takes the time and repairs the damaged tooth that you caused in the first place. We will never be back to your practice ever again.

I'll preface my review with the disclaimer that I have just become a patient of Wahl. This isn't a…read morereview based on a years-long relationship but on my first visit. Having limited insurance, I have not seen a dentist in years and it shows (broken teeth, cavities, missing crowns). This week, a crown broke off and that tooth gave sleep-robbing pain all night. I called Wahl when they opened in the morning; despite being a new patient, they welcomed me at the door within the hour. Susan, who answered my call, was there to greet me. We filled out paperwork and she let me know each potential procedure and cost estimates since she knew I was paying cash and couldn't afford anything major. This was done in an understanding, compassionate manner, not the "you better not stiff us, jerk" manner some care facilities utilize when they know you are uninsured. Dr. Peggy and her assistant got me settled in quickly. After a quick x-ray, my tooth was extracted. Dr. Peggy explained each step ahead of time, constantly made sure I was doing okay, and when I wasn't we stopped and made adjustments. Never once did she admonish me for the condition of my mouth. We solely focused on the issue at hand. Checkout was painless, where I was encouraged to look a little closer at my insurance and submit my info anyway to see if any of my appointment could be covered (I submitted this info via e-mail later in the day and received a reply promptly). Before I left, Susan came by with a card detailing the next few things we might want to do (standard checkup, complete x-rays) if and when I have the chance. She provided the cost for each as well, knowing that was a concern. The office is clean, professional, sincerely friendly, and truly caring. On their website, Dr. Wahl explains how his father took much effort to establish a practice that made a difference through their relationship with their patients. It shows. I've never felt more comfortable at a dentist's office. Highly recommended!
