The next day he delivered the order himself with a nice discount. I appreciated the effort because although mistakes will happen what is important is the effort put in to correct them. I have been a long time customer (mostly via delivery). This…read moreweek I did not receive my entire delivery. When I received my order I immediately checked it and realized a $20 item was missing. By that time the driver had pulled away. Right away, I called Forest City to explain, and I asked if they could contact the driver? The woman on the other end was so defensive and rude. She yelled over me "we've delivered to you before, we know your order!". I was mindful about never blaming them, because I honestly felt the driver just accidentally left part of my order in the car. I calmly told her that I know it must be the drivers error. Can we contact him? I also said "I just want to receive what I paid for". Her response was to hang up on me!!!!! A minute later she called me back and yelled at me that the reason she hung up was because I asked "too many questions" (Um... I only asked if she could contact the driver??) and told me she had to hang up because she had "real" customers in front of her and "didn't have time to talk to me". She hardly let me get a word in. I stayed calm and quiet and let her rant about how "they have cameras" blah blah blah. In the end I told her I would just never shop there again. That seemed to offend her, so I politely ended the call and said "good night" A $20 error us not worth my energy, but her horrible customer service lost her a long term customer. Good thing their competition will happily accept me as a customer. I'm really disappointed by the horrible service I received.

The liquor store is a little small, but a good collection of wine. The liquor is a little more standard, and they do have a credit card minimum. Prices are a little higher then other places, but not obscenely so. The parking lot is small but surprisingly busy - I almost had my driver's door indented when another car didn't notice my entrance from 202, and almost backed into me without checking with reviewer mirror or back-up camera (if applicable). Luckily horns work wonders in getting moving vehicles to stop and re-evaluate their position.

Happy to support this new but growing Super Store! This store, along with the Waterbury location,…read moreare by far one of my favorite places to shop for beer, wine or any drink of choice. Sure, they have a HUGE selection of wines, beers (cold), and pretty much anything your heart desires. But what continues to set them apart is the awesome folks that own and operate the place. Everyone is knowledgeable, helpful, and goes above and beyond to help you get whatever you need. As a local small business owner I too appreciate the hard work, pride and great service this family-owned business provides. Like other liquor stores, they host wine/liquor tastings, so make sure you follow them online to read about the new events. I especially love how they support local varieties, be sure to ask about their local liquors and beers. If they don't have your favorite beer, ask, they'll do their best to get it! For example, this is the same business that helped my (Texan) friend get his favorite beer while temporarily working in the state. After expressing interest in his favorite beverage (Shiner Brock) they made sure to get him a few cases and started stacking them. He drives 40 minutes from Stratford, CT to get his favorite home state brew. This is the type of service that helps separate this business from others. The store parking is plentiful, location is easy to access, the place is well lit, clean, and the different types of liquor are easily identified. There's a huge section for wines, sorted by countries of origin, styles, etc. (I'm not a wine snob so I just ask them for help as I get educated on the different types), the liquor is separated by types - bourbons, whiskeys, rums, etc., and the beer is near the back, next to the huge walk-in fridges.
