We stayed at this resort for the weekend while in town. The room had spices, cutting boards, cooking sheets and pots and pans. We did experience a few dirty dishes we had to wash before using which was disappointing. Our stove worked, but our oven didn't so we couldn't bake anything for the 5 days we were there. This hotel is dog friendly and we brought our new puppy. The first night there we found over 8 pieces of little glass shards on our balcony. Our puppy could've stepped on these, or ate them! The sauna and gym are nice- the gym is a little small but has everything you need. There were no additional pillows and blankets for the pull out couch, so we got them brought to our room (1 light blanket, a flat sheet and 1 pillow was given). It did have plenty of towels and wash cloths. I was shocked to find out housekeepers didn't come to our room once while we were there. The bartenders were nice at the bar, and they had live music on the weekend which was amazing. The restaurant was yummy for dinner, but the breakfast was the BEST. One thing I will mention is that we ordered from the Starbucks every morning. There were 1-2 people working at all times. We were never greeted but often ignored until they were ready to take our order. Regardless if we were the only ones in there, or there was one person in front of us, we didn't get out of there in less than 10-15 minutes. I was so shocked with how unwelcoming the staff there was. We experienced great customer service from the front desk, our AMAZING server at the restaurant, and other staff. The pool always had a few people in it, but it was never over crowded. Each night at 10pm staff was out there to clean the pool which was awesome to see. The view from the balcony was great! (We stayed in the summer). We really did enjoy our stay and we felt right at home with everything that was offered, but did experience a few not 5 star things. read more

Nice looking hotel. The rooms are updated. This is my second time staying here. We stayed in the two bedroom condos. My issue is, I don't ski often. My family skis and I usually stay behind and rest, watch Netflix etc. well, they upgraded their TV's and they have NO apps! I'm stuck watching only Direct TV. If that doesn't bother you then please go. If that does bother you, like if you have children and they watch Netflix or stuff like Disney Plus, you won't be able to. Save your time and money and stay someplace else. Also, I found out that each unit is individually owned so these owners should complain too because they will also lose out! Also, no exhaust fans are in the bathrooms. Make sure if you decide to go you bring matches, a mask and air freshener. You've been warned! read more

In full disclosure, my company booked this hotel for a staff retreat so I really don't know what the costs are. Everything was new and there was still construction going on on the grounds. My room/suite was massive and looked down on the swimming pool. There was a huge walk-in closet and bathroom area. There are plenty of ballrooms/meeting rooms and a restaurant and bar. It's not really near anything walkable, although I did get out and get my steps in at the nearby residential neighborhood. There is a workout room and a lounge area with games. Great location. It was a little away from Park City, but still close enough to be able to access everything. The resort has a shuttle that takes you to a couple close places (not the airport, however). The amenities (including a NICE gym, sauna, steam room, and game room) were clean, well kept and a great touch. Breakfast in the room was good. There is a restaurant on the property with a bar that has live music certain nights. The restaurant was OK (just more of a convenience pick than anything). I would've given it 5 stars but there was so much construction going on, our expense view we paid for was obstructed. read more

Such a gem of a hotel in Park City! From the moment we arrived to when we left, the staff were so warm and welcoming, always offering to assist, whether with holding our ski equipment or getting us a shuttle to the mountain or town. The location is great with Deer Valley right in view, which we could see from the room. The room was stylish with great appliances and amenities. The beds were great, and the pillows were just the right amount of firmness. The hot tub was primo and perfect to soak in after a day of skiing. We finished it up with drinks at the bar, which also had a great view. Breakfast the next day was delicious and just what we needed to fuel up for another day on the hill. Truly 10/10! I will be back!!! An incredible resort with all the amenities & great staff you need. I originally booked through booking.com where one of the staff members corresponding to me through there from Black Rock had recently got sacked, so all the original promises made to me were cancelled by booking.com. Fortunately, the manager Mitchell was INCREDIBLE, he made me an even better offer & we literally had the time of our lives in the best room. We were also given $25 credit per person for breakfast that gave us incredible meals & was such a bang for our buck! The food, I couldn't recommend overlook restaurant enough & will review them shortly to rave about them too! LOVE this place & their bedroom suites! Everything is so nice, with arcade rooms, a steam & sauna, swimming pool, & much more! They have everything. Only thing I would say is that their hot water time is short & we had 7 people, so we literally ran into the problem of having cold water showers on some days, which wasn't the most ideal after hopping out of a cold pool. read more

Beautiful Airbnb with incredibly comfortable beds at Black Mountain resort. 5/5 for the unit and communication with the owner. Michelle at the front desk and an employee named Angel were so kind and helpful...5/5 for their customer service. Our son loved the pool. There was a little market that closed early, a game room (with fusbol, air hockey, ping pong, and billiards), steam room, workout room, sauna, pool, restaurant/bar, and shuttle service to town. There was major construction going on right by the building so we couldn't enjoy the balcony for coffee in the mornings because there was a lot of noise, but we did from inside because of the view! The building is also right by the freeway. (4/5 due to construction and occasional semi noise). Our unit faced the mountains which provided beautiful views which we loved. read more

I was amazed at the flavor of my steak dinner, tasted even better than my favorite at Ruth's Chris! My husband enjoyed his salmon, and they do offer outstanding wine list to pair though we thought the wines were way overpriced. A wonderful female singer and her music partner was playing Indian flute along with her acoustic guitar, everyone enjoyed them and we enjoyed that after dinner! The service was excellent! We stayed here over the New Years Eve holiday and had a great time. Initially, I did not know what to expect because the reviews ranged from 3-4 stars. However, due to our timing and eligibility, the price point was better for us. I almost always use my Amex platinum for travel as I always get upgraded so I was a bit confused when I responded to a text from the front desk inquiring about an upgrade and they said that they do not have upgrades at this hotel. However, when we checked in with Alex (who was amazing throughout our stay), he explained that while they are a resort, they also have condos for rent/purchase. Then it made sense. Upon entering the hotel, the lobby is very warm and cozy with two glass fire places, comfortable couches and chairs, and a great view of the mountains via the Overlook bar. However, when we arrived to our room, we had a view of the parking lot. I then requested a room with a view of the mountains only to be informed that they were in fact sold out throughout our stay. Our room also did not have a balcony, nor were we able to open the window and this coupled with the fact that the hotel is temperature controlled during the winter made for an uncomfortable stay for my husband. Instead of an HVAC system, the hotel is outfitted with mini splits which is usually not an issue as our home in Austin is outfitted with the same Samsung systems, so we are well versed in the quality. Sadly, when we turned on the a/c our unit made a clanking noise a couple of times an hour that lasted for about 1-2 minutes each time. These issues alone almost made me give them 1-2 stars, except this is what they got right: 1. Every single staff member we encountered was very nice and professional! 2. When you check in, you sign a form acknowledging that you have to give housekeeping at least 24 hours for a service request, which I did not recall. We had not had service for 3 days and when I requested it, initially, I was quoted their policy, but then 10 minutes later, I received a phone call that they would in fact fit us in that day and we were very happy to come back to a clean room 3. On the rocks bar is a great spot to hang and it's only for adults! 4. The location is 10 minutes from Main Street and right off the highway, so super convenient 5. They have an app to order a van to take you and pick you up from certain areas including Main Street, Park City Mountain and Deer Valley Mountain 6. There is a ski/snowboard rental company called Switchback Sports located on the 2nd floor 7. On the even floors, they have vending machines for pop/soda and water 8. The Overlook restaurant serves a good breakfast/brunch 9. The rooms have a mini fridge, microwave and a sink 10. Sauna/ Steam room, workout room and heated pool Their website boasts an arcade, but the arcade no longer exists, however they do have a rather large game room with several large screen tv's, an x-box/playstation unit and nice, modern, comfortable couches and chairs. Be aware that I have seen people put their bare feet on the table and on the couches and at times, it feels like some adults just drop their kids in there and leave; they were quite unruly and loud! They also have pool tables although the cues have seen better days and the air hockey board has a flimsy puck that constantly flies off the table. All in all, when we come back to Park City, we are not averse to staying here if we acquire a room with a view and accessible balcony for fresh air. read more

Had family in from out of town on Monday February 17, 2024 and wanted to take them to a nice restaurant for a night out. Instead of the night being a pleasant and relaxed evening g ended up being a horrible experience for all. First ordered three cocktails and two mocktails for the table. After 25 or 20 minutes and asking the server about the drinks was informed that the bartender was late. After over an hour and asking about the cocktails multiple times finally 2 of three cocktails arrived but were horrible. The third cocktail arrived 15 minutes later and it was not drinkable either. At this point still no mocktails for the other two. The server agreed to have one of the cocktails remade which ultimately never came. After over an hour and a half we finally received most of the meals we preferred but not one of the salads. Asked to speak to the manager only to be told the manager never came in. After two hours asked for the check and told server to take the salad ( which never came), the two mocktails and the remade cocktails that never came either. At that point the server said the reason the mocktails never came was because the bartender didn't have all the ingredients. It appeared that the servers were taking orders, delivering the good and clearing tables which I'm sure was overwhelming to them. It's unforgivable that a restaurant like this wouldn't have a backup plan to served their guests. If we hadn't paid hundreds of dollars for this meal I might have understood the service but once again this service was not under any circumstances acceptable. With all the other options available for exceptional good and service I can't imagine I would ever go back nor recommend. read more

I stayed at this place back near July-August of 2024, and it wasn't too great. The good things first, the food, the activites, pool, and the room, although being downstairs, was actually not too bad. The bad things, the fire alarm went off at this resort randomly at about 8:00 AM, and went off 3-4 more times before I ultimately decided to leave the resort. And the day before that, there were spiders and bugs constantly appearing in my room. Overall, this resort needs more work, to fix the fire alarm system and to bug proof the place more. read more

Wow. We had come here for brunch a few months ago, and decided to book it for a weeklong work retreat with clients and employees coming in from out of town (we are local in SLC). I can not say enough good things about Black Rock Resort. We came the week before ski season opened so there were very few guests on site, but we were treated like royalty. First, our 2 bedroom 'condo' was amazing. Two full bedrooms and baths, a full size kitchen and a large living/dining space were perfect for our needs. The staff came by daily to empty garbages, bring clean towels, and see if there was anything we needed, even though no daily housekeeping was provided with a week long stay. They were totally on top of making sure our stay was fantastic. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and the full size kitchen was really great to have. The only slight knock on the room was that the water pressure in the showers wasn't great and the water never got HOT, but only 'very warm'. It seemed that the water pressure went down the hotter you tried to make the shower. I'm not sure if this is a site-wide issue, as our colleague on another floor said she didn't have this problem. Other than a too-large-for-comfort spider that visited one evening, the room was phenomenal (the spider was confined under a garbage can so the staff could relocate him the next day with no harm done). The kitchen has top of the line appliances from Italy and a large pantry as well. Even though we didn't cook anything, we could have done so in style. Next, the entire resort is top notch. On the bottom floor there is a very large pool and hot tub, as well as a sauna and a large gym. There is also a large arcade room with pinball and other arcade games (a little dated on the games, but still fun), as well as a HUGE 'game room' with at least a half dozen large TVs, many, many couches and chairs and configurations, as well as ping pong tables and two pool tables. We ended up meeting in this room each day and we were the only ones in it. One of the days, a manager guy came by and asked if we wanted to use an empty meeting room, and even though we didn't, he brought us an easel to use. So nice! Lastly, the resort has an awesome full service restaurant on one floor, and a full bar with food service on another floor. The food is great and the service is amazing. It's hard these days to find hotels with full restaurants and bars in them. This resort is a gem, and so easy to get to (less than 5 minutes off the freeway, between Heber City and Park City). You can be in either town in less than 10 minutes, with grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, etc. The location is awesome bc it's just far enough off the beaten path as to be nice and quiet. Plenty of parking and great views seal the deal. Go to this resort - you won't be sorry! We are already planning our retreat for next year. read more

We rented the 2 bedroom apartment while skiing in park city and loved it. The bar and restaurant was pretty good and convenient. Free valet parking. Well provisioned apartment with everything you need to cook a meal and wash clothes in comfort. However, the oven (Bertazoni I believe) was a bit difficult to light so I looked it up on YouTube. The fitness center is well appointed. It was freezing so didn't try the pool or hot tub this time. Coffee from the market starts at 7am and I was there every day for their delish coffee and baked goods. Pretty much no one here wears a mask (except maybe 1 or 2 employees and a few tourists) so keep that in mind if you're concerned about Covid. read more

To begin the hotel service is horrible because the phones in the room don't work and the black Rock vans OMG they are hoooorible because when they say it is 5min away it all of a sudden jumps to an hour and then it goes back to 20 but when it jumps to 20 it has already been 2 hours.And we had a ice castle planned but the van ruined it because the app said 28 when it was really 2 hours. This place is absolutely amazing! It was my second time coming back to Black Rock Mountain Resort. Everything was perfect. All the staff were so nice and very responsive to my few requests. The restaurant was on the pricey side but very good. Loved using the gym that had a beautiful view of the mountains. I am very particular about my beds and seldom find one that satisfies me when I travel but the bed in my room was very comfortable. The room was clean, beautiful, and the appliances were high end. Staying there definitely made me feel like I was treating myself. It was also very convenient to Main Street Park City, as it was less than a 10 minute easy drive. I cannot say enough good things about my stay, I will definitely be coming back again when I return to Park City. read more

Omg when i say they had the best beds i have ever slept in in my entire life iam not exaggerating! I am a flight attendant and i travel and sleep in many hotels beds ( wow that sounds bad lol ) but these beds were amazing.
