I came in to get my nose pierced and had a little difficulty finding the place at first, but I called and they were super helpful with showing me how to get to the shop. As soon as I got there, I was greeted by a really nice girl at the front. Jason did my piercing, and he was great. He helped me figure out which side I wanted, made me feel super comfortable, and even gave me water because I was a little nervous. The whole experience was way better than I expected, and it honestly didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would. The price was also really good -- only $50 for the piercing, which is better than a lot of other places I looked at. I'm extremely satisfied with how it came out, and I think it looks great. Highly recommend this place. Thank you guys! read more

What a great group of artists! Always professional, creative and welcoming . The parlor is kept immaculately clean & organized. Artist Jason Holley has tattooed me twice. He has also completed work on numerous friends & family. Amazing artistry ! He and other artists will always work with you to create something near and dear to your heart. Aftercare instructions are given to you in a printout and they are always there for follow up questions or concerns. The parlor is located in a nice plaza; no issues with parking. I asked for something that Is totally different to what I got. I showed my others tattoos, I asked a guy named Steve if he could do the same thickness and the same style, he said he could. He did something different. After three months I went to see him, bc I thought the tattoo needed time, and I told him I wasn't happy with the result if there was something that I could do. I was polite and nice and he was so defensive and gave me no suggestion, no solutions, nothing. The tattoo is clearly different than the others that I have, everyone tells me so, but he just said "it looks perfect to me". Of course... he did it... Bad experience, specially about something that stick with you for ever... read more

We took out daughter in today for a cover-up tattoo and Mattie did her tattoo and he did an amazing job. We were so please with how amazing her Medusa tattoo came out. Today was a celebration day as a family for this particular tattoo. I am so happy with how understanding they were with regarding this tattoo and how Mattie and Brie made her completely comfortable during the process. Thank you again for the patience and amazing artwork. read more

One of my piercings completely closed up after 18 years. I went to Jason to get it repierced and he was amazing! He was very gentle, sanitary, experienced, and knowledgeable. He not only repierced the one ear but also put in a new earring for me in the other and made sure to discuss aftercare with me in detail. I barely felt a thing, I promise! They use a needle; not those awful guns, so I highly recommend the Black Pelican for piercings! They are affordable in price too, which includes the jewelry in the cost. You can choose between studs or hoops. Impeccable customer service from all the people there. Full stars! read more

I previously had my ears pierced years ago by piercing pagoda in the mall. My third earring holes were not even with each other on the sides of my head. My cartilage had a bump behind it due to the angle it was pierced at. I let my holes close up and now 7 years later I went to Jason here at black pelican and he fixed everything for me!! He fit my new third hole perfectly even with the other side! My cartilage is great, no more bump and I'm actually able to sleep on it. He also did my rook which I was a little nervous about but he made it quick and painless. He is such a great meticulous person. He doesn't rush and takes him time making sure your piercing will turn out perfect. He even took the time to order me a smaller gold hoop for my rook so I would be happy. He also showed me and took the time to explain what type of earrings for the cartilage & rook to buy if I replace the one he put in. I would recommend him to anyone! And will return to him in the future for any piercings ever needed! O and lesson learned don't get ur piercings at piercing pagoda!!! read more

This shop is absolutely exceptional. They are very, very clean, and the atmosphere is cool and inviting. Steve did some work and I am in love with it. His skill for photo realism and gray scale is unrivaled. I've been to a few different artists at different shops, and Steve is by far my favorite artist and Black Pelican is my favorite shop. Prices are super reasonable too. If you want a tattoo in the South Florida are, you would be doing yourself a disservice by going anywhere but here. read more

I was suppose to get a tattoo from Paul Holland. I needed to reschedule with him due to something that came up that was out of my hands and he never got back to me to reschedule. I was really looking forward to it. On top of that I gave him $40 to draw it up in advance. Unprofessional, due to the fact that he even said I can redchedule. I tried too but 4 days later I havent heard back. I was looking forward to it too. read more

From out of town on my honeymoon, we went in to get my wife a tattoo and i wanted to get my septum pierced. The tattoo came out awesome, very pleased. The piercing was horrible! It was so crooked i had to take it out directly after leaving the shop. A simple thing like that im surprised and angry it couldnt have been successfully done. Now out the money, the excitement, and will have to wait awhile to get it redone by a real piercer until it heals, and even then now il have scar tissue. So get tattooed there but dont get pierced!!!! read more
