I was looking forward to exploring everything here unfortunately or fortunately I was only able to walk the exterior grounds and have a distance view of the locomotive, caboose and train car from behind the locked wrought iron fence and only got a peek of the interior throughs the panes of glass standing on my tippy toes. The glimpse into the past for me was a little disappointing but that's not to say this old renovated train depot is anything less than amazing. I missed my opportunity while traveling through the area but with a little planning you won't have to. The property is beautiful and the architect and preservation is outstanding. The people of Dequincy must be so proud of this historic site, it's definitely an attraction that draws visitors to this town hopefully I can return at some point to get the full experience...

We had to leave to buy makeup wipes. Then they didn't start it until 7 so we froze outside for over half an hour. The trail itself was fun and the workers on it were very friendly. I would have rated it higher if not for the whole makeup debacle and failure to share the later starting time.

Not a horse, not a cow, not even a dusty saddle hangin' on a hook. It's a full-blown no-horse town, and somehow they're proud of it. But what it does have? Everything you'd find in a cowboy fever dream rolled into one building: A casino, a bar, a hotel, a truck stop, AND a convenience store -- all smushed together like somebody built it with scrap lumber and bad impulses. You walk in for a snack and next thing you know you're sittin' at a penny slot, holdin' a beer you don't remember ordering, wonderin' where your gas money went. And then... the bathroom. Cowboy, I walked into that stall and froze like I saw a rattlesnake wearin' boots. Right there in the wall was a random hole, just starin' at me. Not patched. Not explained. Not small enough to ignore. Just sittin' there like part of the experience. I didn't know whether to: * report it, * inspect it, * or get the hell out before someone on the other side blinked at me. Five stars for chaos. Five stars for entertainment. Five stars because any place bold enough to name itself Lucky Longhorn without a single livestock in sight deserves respect. If you want safety, go elsewhere. If you want a story... pull up, Cowboy.

Seats were GREAT, and so was the concert. Plenty of free parking. Entry to the event was easy and quick with TicketMaster app. Lines moved quickly and seats were easy to find with the help of the ushers. However, the Event Center needs to step a few things up. A. SECURITY!! As soon as Whiskey Myers took the stage, there was a rush of people to the stage front, completely blocking my view! Now, I understand that people like to get as close to the band as possible, but I paid for good seats so I could be close to the band; I could have bought $5.00 tickets and then just rushed the stage! They certainly had a better view than I did. People with seats around us were just as frustrated, and finally had to go get security to clear the aisle, but they were back in no time. Security tried to reason with the crashes instead of focusing on clearing the aisle. It was dangerous because when the people with seats around ours would try to make the gate-crashes clear out, some of them became belligerent and there were some heated exchanges. Luckily, it did not devolve into pushing/shoving, but it came close. I watched most of the concert on the screens above the stage because I could not see the stage at all. B. Acoustics could be much better. C. Drink menu was limited. NO WHITE WINE?? WTH?!? As I said, I will probably not attend any more concerts here unless these issues are addressed, which is a pity because I grew up attending many concerts and event at the Civic Center.
