Okay, full disclaimer here: My review is based on a VIP night when the Black Hat Bash wasn't open to the general public. I'll try my best not to talk about the free food, drinks and entertainment.
How lucky are we to have such an awesome Children's Museum in our city? It's been quite some time since I've been, and for the life of me, I can't understand why. Even without the ever-changing exhibits, I could visit time and time again and not get bored. There's so much to see here!
Let's talk about the Haunted House this year. It's in 3D. That's right.. you get 3D glasses while you're in line and put them on as you enter. While it's a really cool concept, I had a bit of trouble trying to walk with the glasses on without stumbling into something.
This year, each "department" of the haunted house is a decade. I read about this, but didn't really pick up on it until I was two-thirds of the way through it in the '90's. I almost went through it again to see what I missed.
I was a little disappointed that there weren't a lot of adults who dressed up (well, aside from my awesome group of friends..) but was pleased to see the smaller kids decked out in their costumes.
Make sure you visit the Children's Museum this Halloween season.. and bring the kids along! read more
