The front of the store seemed like they were renovating a bit or moving displays around. They have a small area there in between the restrooms that is a single dog washing station! They seem to have a nice selection of different products, and had I not been in a rush, I would have loved to look around more.

The company response was something like there was a problem with the mail. Seems that they have poor materials and don't care who they threaten. I paid an extra $2-3 a board thinking this family business would save me the trouble of spending an hour finding worthwhile boards at the usual places. The shipment arrived and was apparently outsourced from a third party. Thank heavens the CEO of the company responded to my letters and resolved the return of the shipment finally! Despite what happened, I would consider doing business with this company again because they took responsibility for their mistake and apologized sincerely.

We had a problem with some of the bundles that had holes in the shingle, cracked, etc. To make things worse the installers threw the bad shingles into the dumpster which was gone before I knew of the problem. This spot is okay. The wait time is what really sucks. We come here often, the staff is friendly…read morebut sometimes the wait time is way to long even if we are the only ones there getting unloaded. There is an okay amount of space to untarp and roll up your straps. But there is so many cars coming and going if you don't move your stuff over it will get ran over, very annoying. Another thing that bothers me is they want us to tarp their loads so it doesn't get messed up but when we drop off they leave everything outside in the snow. Why they want us to tarp to protect the product from the snow just for them to leave it out in the snow is beyond me, honestly feels like a waste of our work time for them to just let it sit out side and get destroyed.

In a former life I visited here frequently for some of the odds and ends a fella might need as he's remodeling a house or building a deck. As a hardware store, there's muuuuch to be desired. I don't think I'd come here to shop around for anything. The few shelves of tools, hardware, and other fit-in-your-cart supplies they have on hand are more for convenience when you're there picking up or ordering more hefty stuff. So, it's nice that they carry a small selection of bolts and screws and tape measures and shelf brackets (and so on), but don't plan on this as a swing by and browse kind of adventure. The real bread and butter here is obviously the building supplies. And you should probably have a little swagger in your step when you come through the door and know what you're after. The guys here have always been nice enough to help me stumble through what I was after as I employed my best construction laborer vocabulary, but I can bet it would get tired if I was constantly describing what kind of 2 x 12 I needed by the smell of the wood. "You know, kind of like Christmas trees but less sappy smelling." Kudos to them and their patience. Stock was a serous victim of the housing crunch. This place used to be bumpin' but it's a ghost town nowadays. Their staff was cut down by at least half (I want to say closer to 75% or more) so be patient as they try to get a guy out to the yard to find your stack of 12-footers. The public is always welcome here. They do have "showroom" of some of their door products, casing and trim, and other things they can walk you through, but it's really an insider's world there. Prices can vary wildly. Sometimes the big box stores have better 2x4 prices, but sometimes Stock could crush their prices on more uncommon cuts and materials. It's always worth a phone call, especially if you're buying materials in any kind of bulk. When used right, this can be a great place for good deals, and the salesman will bust their butts to track down what you need and make it convenient for you to pick it up or have it delivered to your jobsite. Never hurts to call them for a quote or to stop by, but just don't expect an orange-aproned experience.
