From the start, with the initial phone call, Mike was very accommodating. Even though the project was easy, he asked me the nature of what I was doing so that he could wrap his head around the context of the part he was working on. Cool, he was nicely engaged. His shop is clean and it's one of those places where everything seems to have their own place. Like any place of this type, there were pieces of work in progress. I asked what he liked to do and he said they do a lot of gates. But what he really likes to do? He love doing metal sculptures. On the outside of his shop is one of his works and I included a picture of it. He had my project done in a jiffy. It's one of those times when a vendor exceeds your expectations and all done with a smile.

The solution Mike offered worked perfectly (steel posts and framing) and now I have a front gate that works beautifully, is much more secure, and makes the front of my home look so much better. Mike was patient and easy to work with. Thanks Mike for the outstanding work.

We set up a time later that week for him to come out and take a look at the project. He was able to give me a fair price and confirmed a timeline. He returned the project on time, on budget and all of the welding was smooth, clean and solid. I will use Dillon's for any future projects like this. Thank you!

If you're searching for a truly talented welder, don't pass up the chance to work with Kyle Wesely…read more The only mistake you could make is not choosing him! From the start, Kyle walked me through his process and immediately impressed me with his knowledge and professionalism. Unlike past experiences where I was let down after a good sales pitch, Kyle delivered on every promise. His bid was fair, his craftsmanship exceeded my expectations, and his customer service is second to none. When I noticed an issue that I hadn't pointed out earlier--and Kyle hadn't spotted either--he was quick to return and fix it, making it even better than I hoped. I've previously used Sacramento Iron Works (their work is excellent but definitely more expensive), and I can honestly say Kyle's quality and professionalism is every bit as good.

I told him what I thought I needed, he quickly analyzed the situation and showed me a better way he could build my idea. When I arrived to pick up the part, I was amazed at the work he did. There was some very detailed welding that needed to be done and he far exceeded my expectations!!! This guy is an artist with a torch. Not only does he do small jobs like mine, he also does work for the city. Bottom line if you have anything you need created out of metal, cut, shaped, or welded, his prices are very fair and he does not comprimise on quality. These people are far and few between. As to the post below, I did not find his shop to be dirty, it seemed like every other welding/fabrication shop I have seen and appeared organized. But who cares his work is off the hook :-)

He told me to come in today and he would see what he could do to get me back on the road on time. He set a time for me to bring my truck and headache rack in at 10:30am today. I told him I had an appt. before that and I may not be able to make it at 10:30. He understood and I told him I would let him know if I was gonna be later. My appt. ended up taking hours longer than it should have, but Ryan was beyond understanding, told me he had to leave at a certain time, but was willing to do what he could with the short time I'd left him with. Beyond being willing to help and dealing with a new customer (yes me) that showed up hours later than scheduled, trusting that I would show up just on my word. Not knowing if he just wasted his entire day for a good paying project or a no go project. His honesty through our emails yesterday, being honest today in telling me he'll do what he can with my being late and his honesty while there is what sets him apart from other businesses. Unfortunately, because I was late he couldn't do anything today, therefore making no money on a new customer that held his day hostage. Being Self-Employed, honest businesses are the ones that earn my respect and business. He could've slapped something together that would've worked short term and possibly drilled unnecessary holes in my truck, but he "didn't want to just take my money and ruin my truck bed for a short term fix) where other shops I had spoken with would have. He's now gonna build a custom headache rack for my truck with the design I want, not just throwing your every day rack together. If you need a good, honest fabricator who takes pride in his business and your project. Don't waste your time calling around, Krauss welding and fabrication is the call you wanna make.

Other companies have been slow to respond if at all. I had projects including fence work done by Anthony. My neighborhood recently got hit by a really bad storm. Anthony's work is quality and was very sturdy to make it through the storm and is still in great condition. My neighbor's homes suffered a lot of damages to property and completely broken fences. So I referred my neighbor to Anthony for repairs because Anthony definitely builds quality lasting work. Anthony is great at effectively communicating between several people or neighbors if the project is on or between shared property. I have had to contact Anthony on other emergencies and he is always so reliable and accommodating. Anthony is a hard worker and does honest work. There were a few preexisting issues with the condition of the buildings and landscaping. Anthony was always able to figure out how to work around it and make the project functional and still look good. Anthony is very knowledgeable on city codes and policies and follows them. I price shopped around and Anthony had the best price for such quality in work. But I would definitely pay more for this type of great work.
