Booking was easy and I felt the prices were reasonable. They also adjusted the moving window which I really appreciated. The movers were kind and got everything where it needed to be safely. Where I knock them down is my moving window ended at 2pm. At 215 I head heard nothing and I could not get ahold of anyone at the office (it was a Sunday). At 245 I had assumed they were no shows so I started moving things on my own. Around 315 I got a call they were on their way. A move earlier in the day delayed them and I respect this is a hard job but I would have liked communication of the delay. read more

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with this moving company was so awful I felt obligated to warn others. What should have been a simple move from a small apartment (less than 1000 sq ft) turned into a frustrating, exhausting nightmare. First off, it took them over 4 hours just to load and unload, which is absolutely ridiculous given the size of my place. Then, when we arrived at the drop-off location, they left almost everything in the garage instead of bringing it inside like a professional moving company is supposed to do. It felt rushed and careless. Worse than that, one of the employees was incredibly unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable during the move. The way he acted was completely out of line and unacceptable. It was not only unprofessional--it made an already stressful day much worse. I contacted the company afterward to express my concerns, and to my shock, they didn't seem to care at all. No apology, no solution, no attempt to make things right. Just total indifference. Mivers were great! Got everything moved in very timely manner( as our kids like to tell us" we have alot of stuff!") Just hope you don't get any damage while they are moving your stuff; they moved a very heavy item to our basement and in the move put a ding in our door frame.. that in itself was a project for them to get back to us on the damage and getting it repaired ( several phone calls/texts and it never got totally finished) the guy (Dillion) who contracts with them blew me off several times when we arranged for him to come fix the damage; he never came back to paint the repair! They were able to send a crew of three within a couple of days of my call. Professional, prompt, friendly, responsive, and careful are all descriptive of the service we received from Frank, Nathan, and Jaxon. They were on-the-spot problem solvers who analyzed what we needed to do and got right to it, not wasting any time. I appreciated their teamwork and felt that they genuinely cared about what they were doing. I can't evaluate them for moving a whole house, but for us, the did a great job. read more

Had a great crew last week. This week we are well past the window of time and have heard nothing from people and cannot reach anyone in the office. Edited to say they finally showed up - well outside the window and without communication. They left large scratches and gouged deep holes in our wood floors. They left a dangerous mess in one room. The best moving team I've had!!! I've been moving so many times in different states and this is the best team by far. I flew back to Council Bluffs IA to help my parents move to Bellevue Nebraska and I only had 4 days to move. It was overwhelming for me because my dad has so many books. A lot of them are so heavy. I did not think I would be able to get this done in one day but it was POSSIBLE with black belt movers. The movers were so efficient and professional. They had to make two trips to move all the furniture and books we had but it was done within 5 hours. Impressive!!! Here are why I think these movers are great: 1. Most competitive price I've found. 2. The movers were so patient and accommodating. There was language barrier my dad did not understand English very well and told the movers we were done and sent the movers to the new house when we were not done yet. I had to call them back and they were so nice and came back to help us. 3.Also my dad got confused and didn't know where to place the furniture in the new house and when I asked them to reposition the furniture they were nice to do it for me. 4. I booked these movers last minute and the company only had time slot 1-5 pm available but the movers were done early with the previous client and arrived nice and early at 9:30 at our house which helped a lot. We got done moving the whole apartment with a garage full of books by 3 pm. Amazing!!!!! I have to fly back to California tomorrow so I am so happy this was done all in one day!!! Again I cannot praise them enough. Also I hired two movers but they sent an extra person to help out and he's just as great as the other two. I gave them all the cash I had for tip and when they left I called the company to add additional tip for them because I think they deserve more tips. One of the movers name is Jordan. Would have been better to move myself - will definitely never use again and I recommend you do the same. First, they showed up, propped open my door before I got my cats secured, feared one had escaped as I could not find her, the answer from the crew? "Well they are free at the pound, so you can get another one" Then after discussing how who fault it's was, the crew threatened to just pull my stuff off the truck then.. Second, they show up without a moving dolly, just an appliance dolly. So it's moving boxes by hand - which takes forever. Third, it seems there discretion of "what is ok to move and what isn't" is VERY subjective. We were moving 1.5 miles, some picture frames are OK to move but then others not so much, some open boxes are OK to move then others not so much. Fourth, they don't really treat your furniture with much care or attention, unless it's to say it's something they can't move, then they are careful. I could go on about the attitude, but I think you get the point. All in all your better with someone else - we have used 3 men and a truck before and the experience is 100% better, faster and they actually took care when moving my furniture - not to mention they come prepared. This is a friend's experience that I am sharing for her. I was at the old house just before Black Belt came & can confirm the damage was not there prior to them. I have first hand seen the damage at the new house & I was the friend with a truck that had to go load up all the stuff Black Belt failed to move. There are several other photos of damage but I think these are enough to show you that you need to stay away from this company! I decided its time to put this out for the public. I have emailed the company MULITPLE times with no resolution and I would hate for anyone else to have the experience we did. Please feel free to share this far and wide. Black Belt Movers: Our experience with the movers that came on 4/22 was not a positive one. They had poor attitudes from the very beginning, complaining that the quote we were given was wrong and that the move needed more people and longer hours. They complained that they were not properly informed of the needs for the move. They were visibly upset and were not gentle with the items they were moving. They mentioned that the job was likely a 2 trip job to get everything however they did not make a second trip. They caused significant damage to the old house including a large dent in the drywall. Once we arrived at the new house, another mover joined the crew to help. He was not careful at all with our belongings and caused several incidents of damage throughout the house. The first crew was still upset about the length of time it was taking and continued to be belligerent and vocal about their feelings. I asked them to take some of the boxes down to the basement to which one of them responded "if its not labeled, its staying in the garage" and would not move them. At one point, the lead told that mover to calm down to which he responded "I will not calm down, I'm fucking tired". We had to hire a second crew to come on Monday morning to help us get the items out of the garage and into the basement. This included an additional charge. They also did not make the second trip back to the old house to collect the items left behind. This meant that I had to make a total of 5 trips back and forth to the new house to bring things over in my compact SUV, including enlisting the help of friends with a truck for the larger items. The company did send someone out to fix the drywall holes at the new house however they said they do not have a painter to fix the rest of the damage and have not responded to my requests to reimbursement to hire my own. The damage at the old house was fixed by the new owners however I did have to pay that bill. The company has not responded to my requests for reimbursement for this either. Photos are included. Keep in mind, this is a BRAND NEW home. We had walked in no more than 5 minutes before the moving crew started. We also had just done our walk through with the builders and can guarantee that none of these marks were their before hand. We have not asked for anything more than reimbursement for the extra charges and damages. For all the work this has caused, I think that is the very least they could provide. I went forward with a BBB complaint as well, hopefully they will be able to help resolve the issue. read more

We had a positive experience with BlackBelt. Every team is different, so I could see how some people may not have good experiences, while other rave. Damian, Eric and Dominic helped us on 6/27 with our move, and it was a good experience. We didn't see an email from the night before confirming the morning time, so did not reply, so instead of arriving at 7:30 AM it was 8:30 which was our fault. They came up first to survey the items and do a walk through with me. Then, they moved efficiently and steadily, moving our 2 Bedroom/2 Bath apt took 3 hours to move to our house 20 mins away. You're charged hourly from when they leave the warehouse till when the job is done, so around .5 hour of driving and 2 hours of loading and unloading with three guys. I will note-we had moved about 1/3 of our things ourselves prior to this moving day, and saved all the heavy boxed items and furniture for them. We paid under $500, which I think is fair pricing. Renting a Uhaul would have been at least ~$200. Also, they had a 26 ft truck which means nothing had to be balanced or stacked. I didn't have to remove my clothes out of the drawers etc., and they wrapped furniture with plastic wrap for the items I wanted wrapped. When we got to the house they did another walk through with me and put all the items in the rooms I wanted them in. No damages to my walls, home, belongings/etc. I would recommend them to anyone looking for professional movers! Thanks guys! read more

When the movers were loading, I thought they were going to be good. They seemed efficient and hard working, although I had to keep repeating what things went into storage and what things went to my new house. But when we reached storage the pace became much slower and I had to ask them to go back and move a heavy cedar chest that they'd placed on top of a light table. (And this morning I realized they put some steel shelving on top of boxes in the far corner of storage and now I'll have to move everything to get it.) When we got to my new house the pace became much slower caused mainly by the lead mover (McBride) schmoozing my guy abd letting the other mover do all the work. In the process items were placed in the wrong rooms and/or wrong places and my antique rocker was left in the garage. It will take weeks to find everything and get them in the right places. Moving day is stressful even under the best circumstances. If you want yours to go smoothly with less stress, do NOT use this company! They gave us a two hour window. They were scheduled at 10-noon. At 10:30, we haven't heard, no idea where they are, if they are running late or even coming. When I called the office, the staff was rude and short with me. I was at work while my husband handled the move. We were having our household put into storage, as we were preparing to move across country and will get our items in a month or so. I get a text saying one of our cats is lost. They got here, propped the door and no idea where our cat is. No apologies, no remorse, no offer to help look. They kept working. Well, 2 of the 3 people kept working. They were not quick nor careful. They simply didn't care. I don't know if it's because we were so upset about our cat or that they are just so uncaring about moving precious items for other people. I ended up leaving work early to come look for my cat. They had zero concern for our missing cat or that we were obviously upset. I called the office multiple times quite upset over it. I got ignored and when I finally reached the manager after a 10-15 minute wait on hold, he stated his movers did nothing wrong, that I had only paid for 2 and as for the slow careless service, that I would not be refunded anything for all of their lack of service and speed. I would never use this company again. I had packers help the day before the move, they assured me everything they packed would be safe and they were 100% liable for. The guy that did my estimate said he was confident in their abilities and recommended that I only need the basic insurance, which I did not clearly understand at the time. If you use them, the basic insurance goes by weight, not value: "100% liable" for 60 cents a pound. So the ONLY breakable plate I own that was valuable was worth 60 cents after they broke it. My mini fridge was also severely damaged and the board in my box spring was broken in two spots and ripped because they kept trying to carry things by themselves. I had three movers so there wouldn't be a need to carry things alone. It seemed like they were in a hurry and they kept cutting corners, which ended up damaging my things. They also just dumped a bunch of stuff in the garage instead of bringing it inside and kept trying to use the garage entrance to bring in furniture, which is much narrower than the front door and has a tight turn. My couch got wedged in the door and I thought they were going to rip it. I asked them to use the front door but they kept using the garage door. The movers also hit my neighbors mailbox and didn't say anything at all. I only know they did because I saw them do it. I am appalled that they never apologized. There has been no compensation for the mailbox. Upon unpacking, I found that the packers did not follow my instructions, packed nonsensically, and taped boxes shut with gorilla tape they had found in a drawer. NONE of my knives were safely packed. The box that upset me the most was one was literal stuff dumped in, and since I hadn't packed it, I had no idea what all was in it. Digging through the box I was almost cut by a large carving knife and then I proceeded to find FOUR more LARGE knives free floating in the box of junk. Hi let me start by saying what a disappointment Black belt turned out to be. I will give them the fact that they moved us on super bowl Sunday. But that's where the props end. They showed up and the lead on the job was very negative. They didn't want to take certain things on the truck when my wife asked them too. They also straight up said they would not do a second load. What the hell is that? They are being paid to move us. We ended up having to use ours cars and father in laws truck. They said they didn't want to miss the super bowl. This was 11:30 am they would have been done by 1:30 at the latest. The game did not till 5:30. This was plain and simply not acceptable and lazy. I had received great reviews from friends so I went this company for our move, HUGE MISTAKE! We had all of our belongings in storage waiting to move to our new home. They arrived on time and when going over paperwork reminded my that a cash tipped was preferred. That threw me off a bit as they hadn't done anything yet and was asking for extra money. They started loading the trucks. On multiple occasions I saw them stacking boxes 4 or 5 high and boxes and then boxes would be tumbling to the ground. I went into one of the two storage units after they emptied it and found broken glass. I asked them about it and each said I don't know. Finally the 4th guy said oh a plate fell out of a tote and broke. Okay, so I go to find the rest of the broken glass and where was it? In one of our trash cans which they had thrown into the dumpster at the storage unit. Once we arrived at our home they informed me they would only put things here or there and not help in putting anything together such as the sectional, washer, dryer etc. I was like okay. They were not attentive in putting things where we wanted them, why ask if you are just going to put it wherever you want. In unloading I found 2 totes they had stepped and used as a ladder as well as one of my end tables (they all had footprints on them). As things were finishing up, I asked where the glass was to one of my hutches, again no one seemed to know. Not one of the 4 of them took charge, instead kept pointing fingers at the other. They completed the day and was on their way. Once I started unpacking, I found multiple items broken. I was not surprised as they showed no care for our items. Also, noticed our Dyson cordless was missing. I submitted a damage claim, my concerns about their carelessness and the missing vacuum, I received all of $60 and not much empathy. I'm super torn how to rate this service. First, they came as a big recommendation from an organization who requires us to use professional movers. "This is who we used and they tend to be good" they said. So I didn't even review Yelp. We booked arrangements and let the company know we would Be coming out of state. We were told they had a window of time (could show between 9-12 but I'd we book in am, they'll likely come on time). They said so much per hour. We called because we were running behind coming from out of state and asked if they were in time and could they delay it it for 30 mins. They agreed. We ended up getting there early and the movers were already there waiting for me. (I had asked them to come later). The truck was still delayed so they couldn't start. They started around 9:45 am. It took them a little under two hours but they charged me for three plus a fee that I wasn't told about up front. I wanted to give a two because they staff helping were slow. It felt like they were dragging out the clock to get paid by hour. The dropped a few things including a vacuum. And a couple things were broken which they hid instead of telling us. But they were a cheerful happy bunch. They helped us move stuff from one room to then next as we were seeing the apartment for the first time. But they ended up charging us from 9am even though I asked for 930, plus another extra few minutes they said for disposal..? When all they did was move stuff out of my truck into the apartment. It was a hefty price tag in relation to the non-chalant attitudes we got here and there. But I'm going with a three because they were nice guys. So disappointed with the lack of customer service & care from Black Belt Movers. We picked them to move my mom on a recommendation. I wish I would have read more of their reviews because it's obvious they have a history of dropping the ball. I paid almost $700 for their services. The young men who moved my mom were friendly & professional but as accidents can happen, a table was damaged. We immediately knew my mother's brand new kitchen table had been cracked in the move and we received instructions on how to submit the damage claim. Nearly one month later, it has been a never ending run around. Nobody, especially the management team, wants to take ownership and solve the problem. He passes the problem to this person or that company...I've received a phone number twice that rings directly into a voicemail without the ability to leave one. To say using Black Belt Movers was a nightmare is an understatement! Stay away from using them!! BBM came out, took pictures, did a walk through and gave us a bid. We are a family of five, so we have a significant about if stuff. They knew everything we had to move and the bid showed that. We also understood we would need to pay the price to have it moved. I signed the contract. The day of the move, BBM did not call us on the way as they said they would. It took a long time to get all their employees to our house and definitely not start within the window they gave us. My husband had been sick and he informed the foreman of the crew this. the fireman of the crew did not act like this was a big deal. Several of the movers went through a walk-through of the house with me. Apparently they had not seen the pictures for the bed as they were acting surprised at the amount of stuff we had. After the walk-through, my daughter came inside and said that the movers left. No word to us. They did not talk to me to tell me they were leaving. They just up and left. This caused immediate stress! We were closing on our house, I had friends coming over to help clean the house the next day. The entire situation caused a huge meltdown. I've been received a call about 10 minutes after the movers left from someone from the office. They told us because my husband had been sick. They could not do the move. It was against company policy. He Did not try to problem solved with me at all. I kept asking him questions on trying to figure out another day or what we could do to remedy the situation and he was extremely rude. His answer to every question was "Company policy says we cannot go to into a house when there has been someone that was sick" Again, he did absolutely nothing to help the situation, to relieve my stress, or to work with us in any capacity. My husband was not even there for the move. He had not planned to stay. The movers had gone into the house to do the walk-through and they also had no problem plugging their phones into our outlets to charge...so much for company policy. One of the workers also forgot their phone so they had to come back and come back into my house again. So they had already gone against this fake company policy several times by this point. There is not one thing in the contract that I signed that talks about black belt movers not being able to come into the house when someone is sick. Not one thing about communicable diseases either! So this company policy that kept being referred to it was nowhere in the contract. Thank goodness for my daughter and our realtor! I called her and could not quit crying. She some how found another moving company to come within an hour. That was absolutely amazing! One that was willing to work with us and one that was not extremely rude and contradictory with their company policy. My son's friends also showed up along with two of my friends! Blacktop movers came out to move furniture out of my house for remodel. They could not get a piece of furniture out without the door casing coming off we took the door casing off and they sent two more gentleman over to get this big piece of furniture. They looked at it and said they couldn't do it. Even though the guys would come before hand it up on rollers, but just couldn't get it around the corner. They said they had to go to their truck to look at some thing and they literally left just took off. BlackBelt Movers damaged my wood floor a day before our Open House and they don't seem to care. The movers who showed up looked very young and I could tell they were inexperienced because I had to explain to them how they could get large objects out of the door. They started on my treadmill and for 30 minutes they could not figure out how to get it out of the house. I then heard a lot of laughter and decided to go check on them and what I found is they had scratched my wood floor and they didn't even apologize. What had happened was instead of picking up the treadmill they decided to just push it on the floor which scratched the surface bad. I then had to help them figure out how to get a treadmill out of the house which is sad because these guys were supposed to be the professionals. I followed up with customer service and specifically wanted to talk with a Manager of the Omaha Operations for BB. I was told the manager's name was "Tim" and he was in a meeting. I called back the next day and Tim was again "in a meeting". I could never get a hold of Tim and I got the feeling he didn't want to be bothered by a customer complaint. It's been almost 2 months now and I finally got an email from customer service explaining they will not refund me any money for damages, and they are considering this case "closed". The service from this company was horrible and I tried to give them an opportunity to make things right. They simply state that "inherit risk in potential damage anytime a company is doing the type of work we do". What they fail to admit is they will hire anybody to move things and they don't care about what kind of damage occurs. If you have a small move and are only concerned with getting your belongings moved from point A to point B, you definitely should give Flat Rate Movers a call. If you have a large move but are not too concerned about the condition of your belongings once they arrive at point B, you too should give Flat Rate Movers a call. Otherwise, I recommend avoiding Flat Rate Movers! In summary, my wife and I have endured SEVERAL CROSS COUNTRY moves and this INTRA-STATE move was by far the absolutely worst! To be more specific, we have moved 4 times in 6 years and I have written over 180 Yelp reviews and this is the FIRST review ever written about a moving company! The morning started off with a call stating that the crew would be arriving in approximately 20 minutes. What seemed like a few minutes later, 6 guys showed up on my doorstep seemingly eager to work. Brandon introduced himself as the Crew Leader and I provided a quick tour of our 4000+ Sq Ft house. Customary with every move, I took breakfast orders for the crew and 30 minutes later my wife arrived back with Mickey D's for the entire crew. The day of the move was absolutely scorching with shirt soaking humidity so I also informed the crew that I had bottled water in the fridge for their consumption. After about an hour into the move, I noticed a door guard was used on the front door frame, but nothing on the door itself. What caught my attention was the sliver of paint that had already been scratched off the freshly painted door. Relieved to have caught this before more damaged was done, I asked one of the crew members to drape a furniture pad over the front door and he obliged. Second attention grabber was their failure to cover up railings and banisters......very expensive railings and banisters I might add. As a result of their negligence, a HUGE gouge was left in one of the banister post. Third attention grabber was their failure to use furniture pads on all the furniture as promised during the walk through estimate. I noticed furniture pads used on some items and shrink wrap on others. The logic wasn't clear as some furniture pieces that were obviously high-end were shrink wrapped whereas other obviously inferior furniture items were wrapped with furniture pads. Fourth attention grabber came midway through the move when the Jekyll and Hyde behavior of the Crew Leader Brandon came into focus. He started out like the others, a mild mannered but energetic and motivated worker. However, mid-way through the move he was running through the house, damaging walls and door frames, yelling expletives at the basement fridge and making unprofessional "speeches" to the other crew members. As the day went on, Brandon's bizarre behavior became more apparent. Evidently he wanted to prove his physical prowess to the other guys by moving a $550 each large and awkwardly shaped theater seat by himself. There were six seats total and the others used two men per seat. Not Brandon! I actually have pictures of him bumbling and stumbling with the seats from the basement to the truck. The walls took a beating as a result of Brandon's negligence. After a few hours of Brandon's bizarre behavior I inquired with the other crew members and was told, "He's screwed up in the head". That much was obvious but why the sudden change? I was also told that Brandon was recently promoted to Crew Leader which is absolutely mind boggling considering there were two, maybe three other guys who demonstrated more leadership skills than him. To make a short story long, I gave all the guys $10 a piece for lunch and tipped them all $40 apiece at the end of the move. If only I had a crystal ball to see what I would soon uncover in the days and weeks to come. Their slogan is "Mad Ninja Skills", well lets see...... Damages: Severely damaged walls (I patched and painted) Severely damaged door frames (I patched and painted) Deeply gouged banister Missing bed hardware (found on moving truck three days later-couldn't use bed) Missing mirror hardware (found on moving truck three days later-couldn't use bed) Missing curio cabinet hardware (still nowhere to be found, had to purchase my own bracket) Damaged dining room curio cabinet (hopefully insurance will cover, wouldn't have happened if it was PROPERLY WRAPPED) Missing refrigerator hardware (can't use until replaced) Refrigerator screws never screwed into screw holes - (sheer laziness) Damaged bookshelf Damaged file cabinet I chose not to use a handful of local less expensive movers (yes I interviewed several) because I believe you get what you pay for. In this case I was wrong!!!!! BTW it took 18 days for the owner Garith to send me a receipt. Secondly, when I send emails regarding damage repair, etc., he doesn't even respond! We had used Blackbelt movers several times in the past so when it came for this this last move we were pretty confident in our decision to use them again based on our experience with them in the past. I have to say I will never use them again!! We were moving from one house into a brand new build. Due to the circumstances we were having to do an overnight hold of our items. When the movers showed up, my husband said they didn't have a big enough truck. When they came in and looked around to see what we had they admitted they didn't have a big enough truck. They said the estimate they were given said there was only like 10 items being moved. They loaded up everything they could, corporate did send another truck and did not charge me a second overnight hold since it was there mistake which I was thankful for. We now have 6 movers loading up two trucks, things are moving along pretty well until we get to the treadmill. The six movers apparently can't or won't, not sure which, get the treadmill out of the room it is in. I call another company, pay additional $200 for two guys to come and haul treadmill away no problem. There was absolutely nothing wrong with this treadmill but I had no way to move it! Next day: movers arrive at our new house and it was shit show! These guys were carrying our furniture in with their shirts off and the furniture was just filthy. They tried to cram furniture into spaces where it didn't fit causing lots of damage to door frames and walls. The final straw was when they were unloading an antique silverware hutch from the truck and the the legs broke off of it. All of the contents fell out. The kid handling this started throwing the legs around cussing and swearing. Then he picked up the silverware and started throwing it around too! I was watching this whole thing and took everything from me just completely losing it! This all transpired July 21st and 22nd, 2022. I asked for claim form before signing off on final charges and mover said he didn't have one on him but said he would let someone when they got back and I should hear from corporate. I waited a few days to see if anyone called and no one did so I called and talked to customer service. Customer service had no record of any damage from my move, but instructed me how to file a complaint online. I filled my complaint online with pictures of damages on 8/1/2022. To this date Blackbelt movers has paid to repair my silverware hutch, but I am still waiting to hear any kind of response back to my claim regarding other issues. I am very disappointed with the lack of response even if it was to say they are not doing anything further. If you are looking for a mover do your research, but I would not recommend Blackbelt!!!! read more

Basically the long and short of it is, they were rude to my kids, and made no secret about the fact that they were in a hurry to finish because they wanted to watch the Nebraska game. I have left message after message with no return call in regards to my damaged mailbox. Neighbor used them for their move and their brilliant driver parked in front of our mailbox. Not only could our mail carrier not deliver mail that day because a huge moving truck was blocking the box they also damaged our mail box. Another neighbors security camera caught all of it. It has been over 2 weeks nobody is calling me back so they are getting a bad review. Potential movers please look at another company this one obviously does not make repairing or paying for damaged items a priority. I keep being told someone would call me back. Really hard to do this as we had a mixed experience. However, I would not recommend them at the end of the day. Friends of our warned us...but they were the only team that could do the move on the date we wanted it. BUY UPGRADED INSURANCE! It costs more, but the check we received for 4 damaged items doesn't cover the replacement cost of the least expensive item. Scheduling, answering questions and the "lead" mover were all pretty positive experiences. One of the movers didn't know what he was doing: 1). scratchd our floors in the old house after repeatedly telling him to not drag stuff; 2) did not appear to use furniture moving blankets on anything- stuff was damaged and couch was filthy on one end from the truck bed. I used the black belt movers this last weekend. The two that helped me were so nice. However, they seemed to be in a rush. I asked if I should wrap my couch with plastic, which I had purchased. They said "no need it would be easy". In the moving process they rubbed the suede right off my couch and that's just the beginning. They put a hole in my new house's wall. They cracked my 65in TV and ripped a hole in my mattress. I was hoping they would move my belongings like they were their own. However, reality is they moved it more like you would move stuff around at a junkyard. read more

We're not wealthy people, so we tried to save a few bucks with this outfit, and it wasn't worth the savings. It's been almost two months since the move and we never found our dinnerware or a missing toolbox. Having Christmas dinner on a paper plates was a little bit of a bummer, but not the end of the world. Replacing about $250 in tools, again, is not the end of the world, but something I shouldn't have to do. The worst part is after filing a report about the missing items, they did absolutely nothing about it. Save yourself some trouble and pay the little bit extra to have actual professionals move your valuables. read more

I recently used Black Belt for a move in Omaha. I reserved a truck and two movers. The movers did show up within the scheduled move time. I was moving things from a storage unit to an apartment both within Omaha. The reason for the review is because of the way I was treated by one of the movers. He complained the entire time they were at my storage unit. It was apparent he didn't want to be there. By the time they got to my apartment complex, the same man was yelling and cussing (right out front of my building) about how it was supposed to be a ground level apartment. I heard him yelling and went out to tell him that I was under the impression that my unit was to be ground level. When I got the keys and signed the lease that morning, I was informed it was on the second level. I let him know that I did give that information to the lady I spoke with when making the reservation because that was what I was told. After I told him that, he screamed at me to "Shut the F*CK up". Not once, but twice. I know the other mover heard him, because I even said "Are you talking to me?". I was so shocked that someone providing a service that I am paying for would treat me like that. At that point, I called the company with no answer. I left multiple voicemails and spoke to the lady at the reservation line multiple times. My move was on July 3rd. I did take into account for the holiday and then started calling again everyday from July 5th to July 12th. The lady I spoke to at reservations knew the situation and told me someone would be contacting me regarding the incident. I never got a call from the shop manager Brandy. Called the number again and got the same lady at reservations. This time she let me know that I needed to fill out a claim for "damages" online. I proceeded to fill out that claim form and have yet to hear back from anyone regarding this issue. I would not recommend Black Belt based off the lack of follow up with any customer service issue. read more
