That was fun! I arrived with about a dozen of my friends to celebrate a birthday. We love escape…read morerooms, and had a blast solving The Grand Zeppelin. Niki was our in-room actor. She was a ton of fun, and certainly knows how to set a ship on fire. Having an in-room actor is helpful for dealing with any hardware glitches which are fairly common in escape rooms. But Niki was spectacular. She balanced the level of interaction to not be too obtrusive, but sill remain helpful. I don't know what else to tell you without giving anything away. The room itself was very well put together. Everyone in our party was engaged in the problem solving, and we finished with plenty of time to spare.

Came across this particular location on Groupon. There was a very brief description on each room…read moreand what it had to offer. Very easy to book through the website even with the Groupon voucher. What would normally cost $60 for two people only cost $40. Upon arriving it may be best to scout the area for a good parking spot. We end up parking at a garage and paid $14 for an hour. There was a lot of traffic this day in particular due to road construction. The sign to the place doesn't really just jump out unless you are really paying attention to it. Management was a little late and the doors were locked when we arrived but we had fun once inside so it made us forget about our 15 minute wait outside. Once inside you do have to fight the fishy smell from the poke bowl place but it's better when you reach the inside of Escape the room. Management did an awesome job explaining everything for us newbies and although we didn't escape it was a great experience and we have a picture to remember the moment.

The employee working the front desk was really friendly. While she was explaining the different…read morerooms, the actual owner came out to chat and eventually told us he was an author. Long story short, buying 2 of his book counted as passes for a room.... and ended up saving us about $20. The actual game we paid was a blast. As a pair we were about to escape with a few minutes to spare. If I'm in the area, I will definitely retire. The books seem to be pretty good as well.

Odyssey Escape Game is one of the best escape room in the entire world!…read more From their customer service, to their facilities, and even the games, their global top 10 status can easily be seen through the entire experience. [Customer Service] 10/10 * Anthony, who we meet consistently every Wednesday, is god-sent. He is very knowledgeable , friendly and makes your experience very pleasant. He understands and knows how to address new clients and their concerns; whether it'd be anxiety or the lack of understanding of how these games work. Due to his charismatic personality and his ability to communicate with others, Anthony definitely encourages and brings many loyal customers to Odyssey. [Facility] 10/10 * From the entrance to the room, the facility is extremely well maintained and clean. There is bathroom that is always readily accessible and available. The furnitures in each of the rooms and seating areas are dust free and clean around the edges. [Games] 10/10 * Without diving into too much spoilers, each game offered by Odyssey are fun, exciting and encourage the use of a lot of brainpower. So far, as of 01/24/2024, my party has only completed 2 of the 5 games and we most definitely plan on returning! Odyssey Escape Game is a MUST-TRY, if you're a new or returning escapee.

Update: We have returned to play their newest offering Planet Express, which has replaced the Saw…read moreroom. This alien/space ship themed room was fun but definitely has some flaws and sits solidly in the middle of the pack for their offerings. It still contains a puzzle or two that mostly constitutes busy-work, with a delay between "getting it" and actually completing the puzzle. Its biggest sin is that you start out in darkness and they only provide one flashlight. If there is one thing I wish all escape room designs would understand it is that DARKNESS IS NOT A PUZZLE, it is an annoyance. To make everyone share one flashlight is boring and frustrating. If we are to believe we are an elite team of agents exploring an alien ship, why would they only bring one flashlight? It's bad from a narrative perspective as well as a game design perspective. (exception to this rule is something like Smuggler's Den at Escape My Room in New Orleans in which you actually play most of the room in complete darkness and the puzzles are designed to be completed without use of sight). I don't know a single newbie or enthusiast that has ever come out of a room saying "it was so cool that I had to mostly stand around while one person got to be in control of the flashlight" ::deep breath:: Other than that, it was a fun addition to their line up and it contains some surprises, plenty of sci-fi easter eggs, and clever communication/team work oriented puzzles. I'd give it a 3/5. Their staff is second to none, always a pleasure to interact with, know just when to nudge you in the right direction, and they seem to have fostered a really good office culture there.
