I live in Kinna for the moment, and this is the best restaurant I've been to by far…read more First it's the cutest, coziest place. For me, being foreign, it's exactly what I would want in experiencing a Swedish restaurant. Very hygge (I know it's a Danish term but this place defines it). There is always a crowd at 12, the tea lights are always lit, usually bustling in the afternoon but in a quaint small town way. Just love it! The staff is so nice, friendly, and are open and understanding to help if you need. I am also vegan, so I had a lot of requirements and adjustments to ask, and everyone was very helpful and understanding. The chef is excellent! I eat lunch here everyday, so he actually spoke with me and asked what my requirements were. He was awesome, and I feel lucky to eat here everyday, the plates he creates for me are just beautiful! Literally every day the same standard. It's very hard to find a vegan meal with the quality this chef is putting out in a small town. Making my life! So the Mark Basket girls send a big thanks to the Gästhuset staff. Weyou! Thanks for putting up with us! We look forward to these meals everyday. You give us life!!

Don't get me wrong, the food here is excellent. The service leaves a lot to be desired though. No…read moresmiles from the wait staff. No checking to see if we'd like more to drink. It took over an hour just to get our appetizers and then we didn't all get them at the same time. We were told to keep the silverware we ate our appetizers with instead of bringing us clean ones for the next course. I asked for a glass of wine with the main course and they poured it into my water glass, which I had already drunk water from and then acted pissy when I complained. It's a beautiful atmosphere and the food is delicious but you have to put up with a lot of unprofessionalism in my opinion.

Close by to the Police station and what I assume to be food for the working man/woman…read more I had the pan seared, coated salmon fillet with lobster sauce and mashed spuds. The alternative was a suspisious Tex Mex casserole (not that authentic I guess) plus a sallad buffet and coffee. Well the idea to coat a salmon fillet was overkill and redundant to my mind. My mind kept wondering what they were covering up with that move. Well it was quite salty (now I don't mind salty foods so for me to make a remark is itself remarkable), the mashed spuds were homemade (if that was pulvered potatoe, then I'm a fan). Now the interior was quite old fashioned but clean and the staff was smiling most of the time. Would I visit again? Yeah, I've had better but I'm quite sure you can find something to your liking (and it will always beat the roadside burger in freshness and nutrition).

This campsite is really the best I've been on the last years. It's located about a kilometre away…read morefrom the E4 north of Vaggeryd in a forest and there's a lake and a super clean beach right nearby. The people at the reception were very friendly and - eventhough the small campsite was already full - they gave us a provisional space to stay for a night. The restrooms were the cleanest I've ever seen one with a modern interior and clean showers with an anterroom. In the same house, there were also a dishwasher and sinks as well as a kitchen counter with a stove. Also the WiFi connection was always good but it just reached a certain point near the kiosk so it might be necessary to try to get a site near that if possible and needed. All in all, there can't be said anything bad about this place and I can just recommend to visit Hjortsjöns Camping!
