I live in Kinna for the moment, and this is the best restaurant I've been to by far. First it's the cutest, coziest place. For me, being foreign, it's exactly what I would want in experiencing a Swedish restaurant. Very hygge (I know it's a Danish term but this place defines it). There is always a crowd at 12, the tea lights are always lit, usually bustling in the afternoon but in a quaint small town way. Just love it! The staff is so nice, friendly, and are open and understanding to help if you need. I am also vegan, so I had a lot of requirements and adjustments to ask, and everyone was very helpful and understanding. The chef is excellent! I eat lunch here everyday, so he actually spoke with me and asked what my requirements were. He was awesome, and I feel lucky to eat here everyday, the plates he creates for me are just beautiful! Literally every day the same standard. It's very hard to find a vegan meal with the quality this chef is putting out in a small town. Making my life! Don't get me wrong, the food here is excellent. The service leaves a lot to be desired though. No smiles from the wait staff. No checking to see if we'd like more to drink. It took over an hour just to get our appetizers and then we didn't all get them at the same time. We were told to keep the silverware we ate our appetizers with instead of bringing us clean ones for the next course. I asked for a glass of wine with the main course and they poured it into my water glass, which I had already drunk water from and then acted pissy when I complained. It's a beautiful atmosphere and the food is delicious but you have to put up with a lot of unprofessionalism in my opinion. read more
