My brothers. Here's your review…read more Fresh out on my own I was cruising Facebook and found Brothers. I was intimidated but I also needed to furnish a new house of my own. Do you know how scary taking a chance on maybe bedbugs from marketplace? I landed here. Happy accident. I was able to furnish a house with the stupid stuff that adds up. End tables, rugs, dressers, decor, I even buy some clothes here. Nike shorts ($2). Yes, they have bins. But also so much more. I buy toiletries (shampoo/conditioner/body wash) $3 here or $15 at Target. Same with like laundry.. And even other things like hot tools for your hair, lamps, reading nook chairs, dining room, storage, organization. When I walk in I'm treated like family. Mom is in the back sorting, and her boys run it with their uncle. They are always wheeling and dealing. I can speak from experience they single handedly aided in my ability to establish myself properly for my kids. The boys and I joke but will forever be thankful for thekindness and grace in such a transitional time. Thanks guys.

First of all, I want to start off by saying their store hours are absolutely incorrect. So me…read moreracing here to be here before 5:00 and trying to make it which I did make it only to find out they close at 4:00 without telling anyone. The whole reason I came here was I was trying to purchase because I adopted an entire nursing home and needed to buy gifts for everyone. It's not only extremely disappointed beat but now I have to figure out how I'm going to afford 30 Christmas gifts for elderly nursing homepatients that have no families. So thanks a lot Brothers. Not very brother like plus I am not going to be able to make it any other Thursday till Christmas which happens to be their dollar day. So the value I'm sure it's great. But the fact that they can't even update their own business and waste people's time. And my valuable time, especially when I am volunteering and giving so much to the community is ridiculous. I will never come here again and I will not recommend them.

Cooking can be a drag when your knives are dull. I have a knife sharpener but sometimes it doesn't…read moredo enough and I need a professional. Enter Ferrari and Sons. They make my blades feel new. Their prices are reasonable. The store is unpretentious and the staff is friendly. I also like the smell of mixed spices, which they also sell, inside.

A new business on my list of favourites…read more They specialize in sharpening cutlery for area restaurant and meat packing businesses. I finally visited, bringing a long a few of my kitchen cutlery. When I retrieved them the next day, they were properly sharpened, with a keen edge on each. Sharpening is $3 or $4 for each knife (okay, I can't remember), and they safety sleeve each piece upon return. You will notice many, many new knives of all sorts for sale at the counter and directly behind, hanging on the wall. Reasonably priced, they surely have any knife you might need. A side line is their various cutting boards and cookware. As well, they have sausage-making equipment and the spices to support. On a related note, Ferrari also carries used kitchen cutlery that has been sharpened over time. They might be at the end of their usefulness for professional kitchens, but they still have a lot of life left for home use. I picked up several used knives to supplement my current stock. Bargain pricing for all used knives. I didn't realize that they also specialized in spice blends for all sorts of meat and vegetable preparations. Their selections are almost overwhelming, but again, you will most certainly find a suitable blend for all of your needs. For those of you that smoke meats, they carry a variety of clean hardwood sawdust and wood chips. Have any questions? I did, and the gentleman behind the counter was able to answer them and make suggestions to assist me. They don't have a big presence along Groesbeck Highway, but once inside, you will find their specialty store to be amazing. I recommend!
