Chris was very responsive, and when he arrived, he saw the scope of the job was much more complex than originally planned.... Upon removing the microwave, he discovered that our kitchen contractor had negligently set up our kitchen venting into our attic, a major fire hazard. Chris took things step by step. He got into our attic, and hooked everything up safely, as it should be, to our roof vent. He also properly secured the new hood, with a clean stainless steel backsplash. There were several issues with scheduling and changes from their end, and they charged a fee to come out to Sonoma County (which I accepted). They arrived and lubricated the windows, and told me that they'd order the parts and return to install them. I was surprised at the cost of this very short visit which included replacing a tandem lock and I was charged $75 for the part which is available for $18 on Amazon. I followed up a few times to check on the progress but didn't get clear info. Nearly 3 months later, I asked again and was told that they were waiting for me to 'accept the estimate' which I had never received. I had been told it would be a month or so to get the parts and then a couple of weeks to schedule, so this was disappointing. I finally saw the estimate and saw that they were charging me $73 for each trim kit, although they are available online for $16. I understand that business put a mark up on parts, but that's nearly 5x markup and combined with the confusing and inadequate scheduling and communications, it was a frustrating experience.

He said he was probably too busy to take our immediate project but he took the time to talk to us, figure out what we needed and then refer us to a guy who could help. He also said that if we couldn't find anyone to call him back and he would find a way to help us. Perry's referral came out same day and was amazing.
