Also, I know she must post-edit her images, but it's nothing too over-the top, everything looks very natural. What you don't see in her portfolio is how it is to work with her. She is extremely warm yet professional. For my elopement not only was she able to recommend a wonderful officiant and florist- and picked up the flowers the morning of! she really went above and beyond for her sense of adventure. She was with us the entire action-packed day starting with a walk in the redwoods, a picknick at a winery and even went out on a kayak with us as we free-dove the kelp and explored some other features of the coast. What a great sport! I doubt many photographers would do that, on top of having great skills. I can't thank her enough for helping us our special day, and for capturing it all so well. She gave helpful prompts to guide us during the photo session yet let us be ourselves at the same time. I can't stop looking at the photos she took. They are truly remarkable! She is prompt, friendly, super good at her job, organized, effective, and responsive! We had a couple wrinkles in our wedding back in August of 2021 where we were unable to get ready onsite due to Covid-19 restrictions & being behind schedule due to a hairdresser malfunction, but Amy was gracious enough to add in another location for getting ready photos & then drive to our venue to capture the rest of our day. Not only are our photos STUNNING, but I felt so relaxed and confident in Amy and her second shooter to capture all of the moments and things I wanted. She sent over a list asking me for any MUST have shots and groups of family members a week or two before the wedding that we wanted to ensure we got pictures with and went down the list during cocktail hour to check them off one by one. She also got wonderful photos of our guests enjoying themselves on the dance floor which is exactly what I wanted. I can't recommend Amy enough!

Her communication throughout the whole process was wonderful. It was my parent's 49th wedding anniversary while we were there. I wanted all of us to have some beautiful images at our favorite place with our favorite people. Joyce really nailed it. The weather was awful!! Foggy, cold, and windy, but she was very accommodating and able to pick the best time to create the images I wanted. We were able to go to different locations and she was great about knowing which areas would make amazing pictures. They were spots I would never have thought to choose, but they are some of my favorites! We got all the posed photos that I requested and then some. We also got many beautiful pictures that were more natural and showed some of our silliness. It was really helpful when she would instruct us on how we were standing, how to position our arms, have us turn our faces so the light was correct, etc.. All and all it was a fantastic experience creating an ocean family photo session. All of us got everything we wanted. Some of the candid type photos resonate with certain people. The pictures of my dad kissing my mom on the cheek like he always does are just classic. I got the posed picture of all 10 of us on the beach that was my inspiration for the whole thing. We got a picture for one of the little girls with her parents that are not a couple. I think having that will be priceless to her.

She was easy to communicate with, highly knowledgable of the area and had all the recommendations we could ask for to help us in choosing all sorts of things: officiants, florists, dining, things to do, etc. She even chatted with me when I was choosing my gown about how it may look in the photos depending on which one I went with. Ultimately, we shared photos of what we loved in Joyce's work, and handed her full creative freedom to lead us where felt right. She was careful to have us as we naturally were, she didn't pose us one time (which made me nervous during the shoot!). In the end, we couldn't be more grateful for the vision she brought to life. Our wedding day was captured so gorgeously; every shot is a love letter to our day -- luminous, timeless, majestic. Here are some quotes from friends who reached out after seeing the photos: "Congratulations! Wow, these pictures are amazing! You look like an ethereal princess" "The photos look like you're in a fairytale!" "Absolutely stunning." Thank you Joyce, for your dedication to your craft.

Dustin was friendly, responsive and easy to work with. He provided us helpful advice and guidance throughout the process. On the day of our wedding, Dustin was everywhere we looked, snapping photos left and right. He did a great job capturing most of the photos we requested. Our wedding party like working with him, especially since he worked quickly and was professional. He even went up on a ladder and captured a fantastic photo of all our wedding guests, which was a unique photo we really wanted to have. We received over 800 photos (in both color and black and white) from Dustin a little less than three weeks after our wedding, which was a way faster turnaround time than we expected. He mailed the photos to us on a flash drive and also provided us a link where we could access all the photos online. Dustin captured every moment of our wedding, including the wedding party getting ready, our first look, the ceremony, the cocktail hour, the reception dinner and dancing! He also captured great photos of the wedding venue, including our ceremony site and our beautifully decorated reception hall. The quality of the pictures Dustin took were fantastic. The colors in the photos were so vivid. Dustin is especially an expert at capturing photos of nature, which was important since our ceremony was in a Redwood Tree Grove. We were impressed by all the angles and perspectives of the photos he took at our ceremony. Also, Dustin took great candid photos of our guests' facial expressions, which confirmed for us just how much fun everyone had. We highly recommend hiring Dustin for your future wedding and events.
