When not buying almond croissants I love to pick up a crust loaf of Italian bread (perfect as a side for wintry stew). They best (and worst) part of this bakery is the first come, first serve attitude. They often sell out of popular breads early (so make sure you drop by early...), but this obviously speaks highly of their quality.

My only wish for this cafe is a makeover! I would love to see the place redesigned to make MUCH better use of the space and create a pleasant place to actually sit in and enjoy your coffee and cake. It's a crying shame, considering all the competition for cafes in the area, that Bertrand's just doesn't cut it in this regard.
