From the outside, this restaurant looks very charming. And like many other restaurants in this area, it has its menu on display outside the door. It's nice that this restaurant is gluten-free and labels its menu items as gluten-free or dairy free. There is even a section in English towards the back part of the menu. The food was fine. Not amazing, but acceptable. Most dishes were fairly priced between 10-20 Euros. Portions were standard Italian size, so 2 stars for all that.
I took away 3 stars away from the total 5 points that are possible because of the service and the set-up of the restaurant. In a nutshell, the whole restaurant is hot in the summer. It's so hot that it's difficult to stay for the entire meal. And though the two upstairs rooms have wall-mounted air conditioning, it doesn't help the stagnant air unless you are seated right under its air flow. As for service, the server never came back after he dropped off our food. We had to go downstairs to pay, but we were glad to get out of there as soon as possible. Towards the end of our meal, I was eating three gnocchi per mouthful just so I could get out of there.
So if it's summer and you see this restaurant on the Yelp map, keep walking unless you want to be hot/uncomfortable for your entire meal. read more
