McDonald's at Westfield Chodov is located on the upper level in the "Food Court" area of Westfield…read moreChodov in Prague, it is a small kiosk-style area, but there is still a nice amount of space to wait while you order, and a good number of kiosks, which have an English language option. There is also a small seating area which is typical of McDonald's style but does fill up quickly, so you more than likely (like me) will need to rely on the mall's communal seating area.
I ordered a McRoyale Meal with an Iced Tea and large Fries on a gluten-free bun. Pricing seemed on par with what I would expect to pay in the UK, before surcharges such as for a gluten-free bun, lettuce and even a tiny sachet of ketchup, I was reasonably happy to pay this as the quality appeared to be much better than back home, but these annoying odd surcharges of 10 CZK here, 20 CZK there do add up and do make it more expensive.
My food was presented well and tasted good, and more importantly, my meal, including the fries was served hot.
The staff seemed friendly enough and ensured quick service from the point of ordering to picking up my food from the counter.
I did feel a little uncomfortable in the seating area, as I had staff members sweeping under my chair and coming so close to me when I was trying to eat, obviously, I appreciate them trying to keep the area clean but it made me feel like I was making a mess and in the way - I was not! I just wanted to enjoy my food. I guess this is a problem with the shopping centre in general who seem to be in charge of maintaining the area.
If you're shopping within Westfield Chodov and looking for a quick bite to eat, this is a decent option, above average by McDonald's standards and the average fast food mall locations you can find.
