We visited Bistro Ona on our recent trip to Montreal and it was amazing! It was the best meal of our trip (and it was by far much more enjoyable than the Michelin restaurant we dined at a few nights later). Our family of five had the chance to try several dishes including the pad thai, chicken satay, papaya salad, vegetable spring rolls, chicken fried rice- all delicious and flavorful. However, our favorite dishes were the tamarind shrimp and the 3 flavor chili fish- both especially excellent dishes. We enjoyed dinner so much we had to get desserts to share. We enjoyed both the mango sticky rice and the sticky rice with Thai custard. Our daughter was able to get have the chocolate lava cake that was a limited special that evening- she loved it but ate it so fast that none of the rest of us had a chance to try it! On top of the excellent food, the service was amazing and the space is beautiful, cozy and quaint. The owners are wonderful people who have taken care with every detail. The jazz guitar set a relaxing mood to catch up with old friends. This is a great place for a date night for two but welcoming enough to bring your entire family. We will stop by again next time we are in Montreal! read more
