Perfect spot for lunch. My wife and I both had the bison burger which was a double patty with fries. More like a smash burger vs thick chunk of meat. Good flavor and did I mention the fries? This place is amazing. I thought our tour driving was blowing smoke when she recommended the halibut fish and chips. I wish we would have ordered double. One member of our traveling party said that was the best fish he had the whole trip including directly on the Alaskan coast. The burger we ordered was fantastic as well as the daily special which was a barbeque sandwich. If you are in town this place is absolutely worth the price. read more

We stopped in Carcross for a little break, but I had my eye on a beer! Since this is where the ladies at the Visitor's Center pointed us, we stopped by for a beverage. The place kind of has a rustic vibe. Plastic chairs, big wooden picnic-like tables. Since I was in Canada, I wanted a Canadian beer. They had Yukon Gold on tap at $6.50 a pint. We also got some fries and a giant chocolate chip cookie. The fries were fresh out of the fryer, but not crispy like I prefer. The ketchup here was way sweeter than I'm used to. We ended up mixing the ketchup and tobasco to tame down the sweetness. All in all, it was nice to have a place to throw back a beer in this little town. But their offerings were just okay. read more

Healthy options and really nice people working at this place. Loved the Indian spice taste of the sweet potato black bean house made veggie burger. Daily specials were really great. Wish they had more whole-grain options for bread. Smoked salmon was absolutely delicious. Made in house. Great location right next to the main shopping district. Dessert selection looked super tasty. I ordered the salmon burger and was expecting salmon that was pressed together like a hamburger patty...that's what most salmon burgers are. This salmon burger was an actual salmon filet and it was some of the best salmon I've ever had. It was the best salmon burger I've ever had. My child loved it, too. Not many choices for food in Carcross so I was sceptical about what we were going to get. For a small outpost I was very impressed with the food, we had the Bison burger and I really enjoyed the Poutine and they graciously added some Elk sausage to the dish, very good. I also liked their selection of local beers, nice to see a local selection of quality beers. Was a little on the pricy side, but not over the top. Keep up to good food. read more

What an excellent find in Carcross (thanks to scoping Trip Advisor I saw they just opened this season.) Manager Julie was able to help with advanced communications of my niece and nephew's life threatening dietary restrictions. We ordered burgers a few weeks prior so she could prepare a special batch without egg and gluten. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful when our extended family of 8 arrived in the cafe. Our private trail of 98 tours' guide Tom got us there before the huge lines from the cruise ship bus) I was pleasantly surprised to find organic chocolate bars, coconut water and even kombucha in the cafe. The food was delicious. The sauces tasted a little sweet for my liking, but overall it was a good experience. I had the Swiss neutrality burger with added bacon and no bun with a side salad. The burger was everything I hoped for. The waiter was very nice. They have open seating. Walk in and step up to the counter to order. They will give you a wooden spoon with a number on it and bring your food to your table when its ready. The waiter said it would be a 30 min wait, but ours ended up being about 20min. It was busy when we arrived. The atmosphere is relaxed with a lodge feel. The environment is clean. I would definitely recommend this spot. Theres also a playground right outside for the kids within viewing distance :) read more

Nice bistro in Yukon Canada. Very friendly staff, service may be a bit slower depending upon the number of customer in the restaurant. The have an indoor seating in rustic decor and an outdoor patio. Limited but nice Canada beers on tap - The 5 beer flight was nice. Good selection of burgers, But they weren't as Flavored as expected, , the bison Burger was average. The nice thing is that they have options for vegetarians. Strawberry ice cream was yum! read more
