Extremely disappointed with how the owner treated us... would NEVER go back here!!! We chose to eat at Bristro Blanc as we had a www.bestrestaurants.com.au voucher to use, and they were one of the restaurants on the website to choose from. We ate our meal (which was average), asked for the bill, went to pay with our voucher and the person serving us told us he hadn't seen that voucher before so would check with the owner. The owner was sitting two tables away from us having an unpleasant chat with his chef (which I thought to be a little unprofessional), and the owner said he knew nothing about the voucher and couldn't accept it. We proceeded to tell him that he was listed on the www.bestrestaurants.com.au website as one of the participating restaurants, and even showed him the website on my phone with all of his restaurant's details and photos!! He was extremely rude and just said no he wasn't accepting it as he won't get his money. We explained to him that the gift card works just like an EFTPOS card (even showed him the EFTPOS symbol on the back of the card), and he wouldn't even try to put it through the machine. He was just extremely rude and arrogant, and told us he wouldn't take the voucher as he wouldn't risk not getting his money. At the end of the day... how much would it have cost him to make our crappy pasta and salad? About $5... if that??!!! The owner made no effort to accommodate us, he could have swiped the card to see if it went through, or tried to call www.bestrestaurants.com.au, but he just didn't care. Making customers happy is definitely not a priority at Bistro Blanc!!!! In all my life I have never come across someone in hospitality (especially an owner) so rude and unaccommodating. read more
