Went in and Merideth work every angle on me and made me feel much better. I had a scheduled appointment for the next Thursday. It's Merideth's day off. Well she came in on her day of with her daughter just for me! I say this is the definition that we look for from the medical profession. She came in because she was actually genuinely worried about me. It was a great feeling to know that a professional actually cares about her patients. As I was sitting waiting for him, he continued to chat about unrelated stories with the patient he had finished with. When I finally was called to come to his room, I asked how long this would take. He said 20 minutes so I stayed with that understanding. I expected to get the full back done, but his question was vague when asked what's the area bothering me. I mentioned just recently my back had sent me to the ER but also mentioned that my prior provider would put a TENS unit on my lower back while doing acupuncture on my full back to include neck and shoulders since those are all areas of chronic pain. He proceeded to only put needles, maybe 6-8 of them in the lower back, and behind my knees. He left the room and said 20 minutes I'll be back. Some of the needles hurt bad when he inserted and I never had that with my Florida provider. The table was deficient with the horseshoe pad because it had no Velcro to keep the pad in place. It kept sliding and the hard plastic under would cause discomfort. Maybe he needs to lay down and let me hook him up. Anyhow, 32 minutes later he comes in and that is over 50% more time than he stated so that made my next appt late. He didn't care and I bet he just conversated with someone else without keeping on schedule with me. I won't be going back. No apology was offered. I had to punch the wall hoping to get his attention to get in there. Rip off from insurance. I wish they could not pay him for his shortfalls...

Today is tuesday september first. I had my first appointment last tuesday at nine a m. After being…read morethere, a total of an hour and forty five minutes. And only finding myself in the line for x ray which wasn't moving. I left. On my way out, I made an appointment to come back today. I waited in the lobby over thirty minutes before being called back to x ray where I waited another ten or fifteen minutes. I was then taken into a room where a nurse practitioner came in. And she clearly had no idea why I was there exactly. She was focused on my spinal x. Ray, which has nothing to do with where my pain is or what is causing it. She pushed and pulled on my legs and feet, but never offered to touch or examine the area of the problem. It became more and more clear. She just wasn't listening to me at all. After twenty five more minutes, doctor hicks finally came in. And at least he checked the immediate area where the pain is but still stuck to the spinal issue and wanted me to get an mri. We even went over my CT. Photos together and then he talked about giving me a shot in my spine after the mri. I'm not a medical person, but I know enough. That my spine is not causing the soft tissue problem. I'm having nowhere near. I told him I didn't see any reason for the. M r I and he ordered his assistant to schedule it. Anyway, so she walked me out. Explaining the process to me, and I just nodded and left. I won't be letting them bill. My insurance for any more waste of time, including the. M r I or any follow ups. This was horrible service and treatment two weeks in a row.

At some point the person that is on hold is important too. I've been in a position where I had to wait on clients in line and on the phone before but I can tell you I have never left someone on hold for that long! I ended up Hanoi and calling back only to be put on hold for another 10 minutes. I love how I am treated here and the type of care they provide is the best I have had! I get my ankles and back taken care of here and now my knee so I should know the quality of care they give.

Come Tuesday, I was taken back quickly and received X-rays. The doctor seemed knowledgeable and said he was ordering an MRI. Insurance would need to pre-authorize and I should be getting a call come Friday or Monday. I never received a call regarding the MRI, so I call them a week after my initial appointment and finally get someone on the phone after getting disconnected twice. I'm told they are waiting for insurance to approve. I call back the next day and told again they are waiting for insurance and it can take up to 30 days. I call my insurance company today (Thursday) and was informed that nothing has been submitted for a pre-authorization . I then decide to drive to their Springhill location this morning to talk to someone. I was informed that the Saraland location only has one person who handles MRI scheduling, but she would forward my information. After waiting all day and hearing nothing, I drive to the Saraland location. The receptionist did not seem to care one bit. She told me it would be next Monday before that person would be back. I asked if there is someone else I can talk to as I am not getting any better and she just says nope.... I do not recommend using this provider for any care. In my opinion, they are a high volume clinic that prioritizes collecting as many copays as possible and little priority on patient care. I made a new appointment with another provider in the parking lot.
