TL;DR: A legendary Maryland bourbon destination with incredible pricing, rare allocations, and a…read moregenerous rewards program. Between the phenomenal liquor selection, full pharmacy services, and the hidden Fountain lunch counter in the back, it is the ultimate one stop shop. This is my absolute go to liquor store in Maryland. It is a true bourbon destination that has rightfully been featured on several bourbon YouTube channels. They are known for their excellent selection of whiskey, consistently landing rare allocations while maintaining some of the best pricing in the area. I make it a point to stop by every single week because their inventory is always changing and you never know what you might find on the shelves. They also run a very generous rewards program. It allows you to bank your points over time so you can eventually use them to purchase high end, rare bottles at MSRP dealer prices, which is a massive perk for enthusiasts. Outside of the liquor store portion, the rest of the business is great too. The pharmacy side is fully stocked with unique Maryland specific items, and they have a highly capable, helpful staff behind the pharmacy counter. As I have written in my review of their hidden speakeasy style lunch counter in the back, The Fountain, it is an absolute gem for lunch, a bourbon bar, and an ice cream destination. If you want to experience a truly unique and perfect one stop shop, this place is it.

Drug City has been on our list for a while now but without the Key Bridge, getting there is a…read morelittle tougher. We came for the liquor store, but stayed for lunch at their soda fountain/lunch counter in the back of the store. They have a good selection of whiskey with very good prices. There was minimal price markup between Drug City and if we were to buy direct from a NYC distillery we really like. I really enjoyed my chicken dumpling daily soup special at the soda fountain, but the star of the show was my chocolate peanut butter milkshake. The food in there is simple lunch fare but you cannot beat the prices. they have a long list of seasonings you can add to your potato chips that I want to come back and try more of. Note that purchases from anywhere in the store (not just the liquor section) count towards their rewards program.

The employees here are very nice and knowledgeable. They make sure that you understand what you…read moreare getting into. I didn't feel like they were withholding information or just trying to make their money. They seem HUMAN. They do accept partial down payments, which may be good for you, but in my case, it was the reason why I didn't use their services. (I've never bailed anyone out of jail before so when I received a special request to do so, I felt really awkward and unprepared. After learning the full financial spectrum of what it would mean to bail someone out who has only made a partial payment to the bail bondsman, I realized that it wasn't for me.) If the situation called for it, I'd use these guys because they seem very trustworthy. A+ review for a service I didn't use? Yes. Hopefully you will never be in that situation to understand why.

We were in the middle of the mess with MVA and the state inspector when we saw her Reisterstown office. We called first. She was knowledgeable, polite, and quick. During that 15 minutes or so, we learned things that would have really helped us. We should have gone to her first.

I needed a level 2 fingerprint for a school I was attending. When I came in, I gave the lady at the…read morefront desk an ORI# I needed my prints sent to, and she acted as if she already knew what I was talking about and handed it back to me. I paid $20 to use their computer so that it would be done correctly. She walked me through the process and took my fingerprints and photo. I paid $80 to have the prints taken. I then asked her again if she needed the paper I'd handed her for the ORI# and she said no. Fast-forward a couple weeks later and my school hadn't received it and told me I'd be dismissed if it wasn't submitted by 5pm. I rushed to get it done at another place and they charged me half the price and it took less than half the time, and my school received it immediately. I contacted LAW (same lady that did my fingerprints) for a refund and she told me that all purchases were final even though she is the one that put in the wrong ORI#. I even contacted Fieldprint to get the ORI# changed and they said all purchases are final. Do not go here, that woman doesn't know what she is doing.

I was recently at the funeral service of a sorority sister and while I have no comment on the work…read morethat was done on the decedent, I do have a comment on the professional appearance of the William C. Brown staff. I noticed that the staff looked anything but professional. The older man had on a shirt that was so dingy and yellowish in appearance that one could never tell that it was suppose to be white. I lie to you not...his wrinkled black suit was absolutely filthy and it had a big white stain on the front pant leg. Simply put, the suit and shirt were far from clean. Also, he had on a pair of unpolished wallaby type shoes that were sooo rocked over that he appeared to be walking on his ankles. Secondly, there was a female director who presented a throw blanket to the decedent's son. Although dressed in a black suit, she too was far from crisp. She had on a pair of flat ballerina-type shoes that were clearly worn. Now I do understand that one wants their feet to be comfortable, however, a nice simple pair of pumps (even if flat) would have portrayed a better look. Lastly, there was another attendant...a younger guy who was dressed in a gray pin-striped suit. He too was dressed so-so, but mostly what I did not like about him is that when we were walking to our cars (the family was still inside) this you man was sitting in the driver seat of the limo completely slouched over with a gangster lean and playing on his cell phone. When "on the clock," one should remain and appear professional at all times. I'm sorry, and I am in no way being critical, however I am being completely honest; this type of look is not what one would expect from a professional establishment. In this day and age, when "our people" are taking their business elsewhere, we must always be one step ahead of the game. I was always taught that first impressions are lasting impressions. Know that I was very far from impressed with William C. Brown Community Funeral Home. * Note: I am not a family member and had no interaction with the staff, so it is probable that their experience was completely different from mine. I am strictly speaking from an onlooker's point of view.
