Sorry we ate our tacos and burritos so fast that we forgot to take pictures. I offered to take family to Lax to check out this tip. Found the truck parked as stated. Luckily only one customer waiting for his big order. Customer(a regular)helped us pick out our order. There was only one guy manning the truck after 5pm. Chef and cashier all in one. This Burris Truck is one of my favorites in LA and the reason is the Burris has their own unique seasonings and cooked to perfection where it's tender and juicy. I alway opt for the quest tacos. The pan seared cheese perfectly snuggles with the Birria. An their salsa is on point too. Food is good. Staff is friendly. They are careful to follow COVId guidelines. They do not have open container pouring aguas frescas anymore. It's a no for me. Birria was SUPER DRY, quesa birria tacos had NO CHEESE WHATSOEVER in it. Consommé lacked any flavor. I thought i was drinking beef stock. The taco truck is conveniently close to work, and it's inexpensive. I opted for the standard taco dorado de birria with a small cup of consomé...although the cup was far from being small (more like medium)! Can't complain though, for the price... The taco was tasty, although I think the meat lacked some flavor. However, the consomé...DAMN. The flavors were incredibly complex, and I swear that the guajillo, ancho, and chipotle (as I read are the key ingredients in consomé) added an almost cinnamon taste to the entire batch. Hit or miss. The birria seems a bit dry sometimes. Also has a flavor that makes me think it's goat meat instead of beef. Some people like goat birria, I've just never asked. The salsa is good. This is a food truck with a location that mind boggles me since it's in the middle of nowhere and parked in front of what appears to be an auto body shop. To be honest the food was mid and a bit bland. The best thing from here was probably the consume since it had some flavor. Menu wise not much to choose from and prices were much higher than what it's worth. The service was probably worse than everything since the guy just wants you to order and get out. The guy taking my order barely spoke any English so when I had questions, being that this was my first time... he kinda just started at me. Wife and I tried these tacos and they were pretty good! Very juicy and decently priced, I had the birria tacos and my wife had the quesabirria tacos, which didn't seem to have a ton of cheese but still pretty tasty. I wish they'd park somewhere else because the street they park on is empty and kinda dirty/littered and there's nowhere to sit to eat, but other than that I'd come back because they were very polite and quick with the tacos. "Tacos" come in a lot of different varieties. "Birria" is one type of taco. It is typified by the use of stewed meat--in this case beef, as the protein for tacos, burritos, etc. The tortilla is often dipped into the stew's gravy. A social media feed informed me that one of Birrieria Gomez's food trucks was setting up at a location convenient for me, so I decided to try their food. I ordered three tacos ($1.50/each), and a beef & cheese quesadilla ($7.00). Note that the truck is "cash only". The tacos were served on a Styrofoam plate, along with radish slices and lime wedges. The plate was covered with foil. The quesadilla was served the same way. Each order also came with small containers of salsa. (I mention this: because of Covid, they did not set up a condiment stand; also, you should be aware, as you carry your order in the bag.) The quality of the beef was very good. There was no evidence of tough, sinewy, or fatty pieces in the serving of shredded beef. The beef was moist, juicy and very tender; yet it still provided a nice chewing sensation. The meat was nicely seasoned. The spices are not as strong as some birria I have had; but I think their recipe creates a more subtle flavor profile. Although Birria Gomez is not "the best" birria I have had, it is very good. I don't go chasing food trucks, but I appreciate it when a food truck turns out a good product. I found this place on instagram. Whenever a friend comes from out of town and wants some LA tacos I either recommend them to this place or the infamous Leos Tacos on La Brea. I love birria! Usually I only eat home made birria cause you never know if people know how to season. I came here on a weeknight and found parking right on La Cienaga. We went up to the window and were greeted right away. Our food came out fast too! Prices were great! We ate inside our car due to COVID, the tacos and consume smelled soooo good and they tasted just as good! We went back for seconds lol. Very good birria, but not necessarily the best I've ever had. The hard tacos and cheese tacos were tastier than they soft tacos, probably because they were a bit more unique. They have a hot chile oil though that is pretty special though. The salsa was just ok but service was pretty quick and friendly. On my most recent trip to LA, I had grilled, stewed, and birria style tacos and I have to say that Birrieria Gomez serves up some delicious tacos. Not sure if I can say this style of taco is my favorite but it's definitely high up there. I stopped by with 3 others on a Saturday afternoon and we split an order of 12 tacos- 6 of the tacos dorados and 6 of their traditional birria taco. For anyone wondering (I know I was), they only serve one type of meat on this taco truck. Both variation of tacos we had were juicy! The meat was both tender and seasoned well. I personally preferred the birria taco over the tacos dorados as the soft shell was able to absorb up more of that delicious beef stock. In short, I would recommend this taco truck and would not hesitate to come back to get my fill of birria styled tacos. read more

We've been meaning to come here for quite some time. Hands down some of the best of not the best in this area for Birria trucks. No tables or chairs but most people just post up on a ledge by the wall. Parking can suck as its just street parking but I recommend you follow their social media accounts and it will give you details on parking. Good price. Now we ordered a little bit of everything so we can get a feel for the place. Taco dorado- amazing; just right with the tortilla being crispy but the meat was so tender. The quesataco; as it translates, tacos with cheese, it was good. The Quesadilla was my favorite, nice portion and pretty dam delicious. I was contemplating on writing this review, typically I wouldn't have written anything but this review in no way is to bash a business . Simply giving a little feed back on how consistent a business has to be starting off with their food . I don't live far off from the their truck located off 135th in Hawthorne. The first time I tried their Birria it was really flavorful and so great that my husband and I were super happy to have a place like this by our home . Sadly the joy didn't last very long. We are big foodies we like to try new things and when we like something we keep going back to support and get more yummy food . The second time around this excitement came to a halt. We decided to go pick up some tacos and a big size of birria to go,this was on a Sunday afternoon. They must have ran out of the Consomé because you can clearly see that they added water to make more of the consomé . I understand if they ran out . But be honest with your clients and let them know that you have ran out rather than making a quick buck and have unsatisfied patrons . I was really looking forward to having the birrria that when I got home and what we got was a huge disappointment watered down, bland, and not good at all . So we said ok, they probably had a really busy day it was only 2pm the last time we got it. So we gave them the benefit doubt and decided to give them a 2nd chance . And again so disappointed they watered down the birria again ! Please guys be consistent with your food . We get it you guys get busy, we get it times are hard and which is why we like to help and support small businesses to keep those in business. Please be more mindful of your patrons if we are going to pay $30 worth of food it should At least be enjoyable. Food truck by LAX! FYI the street the food truck is parked on is oddly dark/quiet at night. We got quesatacos, tacos dorado, and a large consome. I added ramen at home to my consome (otherwise you have to bring your own noodle bowl to fill up there) to make birria ramen! Overall the food was decent, I wasn't blown away because I've definitely had better birria before. However, they gave a TON of meat in the large consome so that was a plus. I most likely wouldn't come back here, but it's in my area so maybe to kill a craving! read more

My family and I really like this place. It's super close to home and delicious. When we first started going they would give you the consomé for free with your purchase. The consomé was delicious and meaty. After a while they started to charge for the consomé, which I'm not mad at, I get it, it's a business and they need to make money. Some time goes by and the consomé that I am now having to buy is watered down, big time! I figured I would give them another chance and a month later and it was still watered down! Not cool at all! I'm paying for this! Please fix this! I love dunking my tacos in consomé, not water. Oh boy, where do I start? This food truck is the definition of a LA taco truck. Shady location, nice staff, and great food. This spot nails it. It's parked right in the middle of a warehouse direct near LAX off of La Cienega. The street is decently lit, but the truck is usually by itself with no other businesses around it. Street parking can get farther down the road when it's busy, so I suggest coming with a friend or two, especially in the evening. Their menu's pretty straight forward. Everything is based off of their birria and consomé broth. The beef is so tender it breaks apart in your mouth with barely any chewing. The broth is rich with beefy flavor goodness. It's not salty, so it pairs really well with their spicy salsa that hits your tongue with it's sharp flavors. My recommendation is the Quesa-Tacos unless you don't like cheese. The richness of the cheese is just as strong as the bold beefiness as the birria so it balances out the flavor really well. I love chowing down the crispy cheese shell and biting into the tender birria with the refreshing salsa. Highly recommended if you're in this area. I know there are plenty of other great birria taco trucks nowadays, but this is definitely one of the tops on my list! read more

If you want birria ramen you must bring your own and they charge you $5 to fill it up! They do not have the ramen there. Other than that the food I order was delicious. The birria was fresh and had a lot of flavor. The burrito was the size of my forearm and full to capacity lol. The quesadillas, taco and mulita were awesome as well. I went here yesterday since its close by my husband's work, we ordered burrito, quesadilla and consome for to go. Im very satisfied with the order and the cashier was nice i was 75 cents short and he let it slide but i dont want it to get deducted from their income so i went back to my car to pay it back. The food was good but the consome could be much better if i only asked for extra onions and cilantro on the side. If u want cheaper version of quesitaco get the quesadilla. I would really recommend having the birria here, Food has always been hot and presentable. Tacos, quesa-tacos and the consome are really good. There is times where the wait could pretty long but I have to say it is worth it. One thing that is not that great is the parking and location but they have no control over that.
