Words can't describe how fantastic they are. They're the MOST knowledgeable in NetSuite & SuiteCommerce honestly. They've caught things that others "experts" didn't and always find a way to help save costs. I'd happily pay x10 their rate every time because they're worth it. Anchor Group's response time is so quick they've cut implementation time lengths down for myself on several occasions making the entire customization, optimization and implementation go by in a breeze. If you're reading this, you've got to work with them, swear you'll thank me later!

On one wall there is a door with a taped-on Beckett Tax sign. Head in here to let them know you've arrived, then take a seat in the waiting area. I'm honestly a little surprised that the spaces aren't flipped; the office area is very cozy and doesn't offer much privacy. Spaced out cubes in the larger area would make sense but since it's a temporary, seasonal set-up so cubes might not make sense for moving around. After some basic questions over email with Beth, I was paired up with Katie for my appointment. Katie was super friendly, efficient, and answered any questions I had. I had made the appointment because my usually trusty tax software couldn't handle my stock info but Katie entered it in a few quick strokes. I probably should have asked what number in the multiple printouts was relevant for future reference, but I can always ask next year. $120 for peace of mind seemed like a decent trade-off. The staff seems very tight-knit and everyone had a smile on their face despite being in the crush of tax season. Staff camaraderie is always a good sign. I appreciated the advice from Katie and she found a couple things I'd missed taking advantage of last year. Sticking with a small, local firm kept my costs down and left me feeling treated like a person instead of a group of numbers.

I was very impressed and happy after we able to see both Lynne Mason and James Tarp. I know tax…read moretime is super busy for preparers and I therefore keep my expectations low and patience high. I never expected that you, Lynne would have our tax filing done by the seemingly quick and arbitrary date when we happened to have our investment appointment with James. And to top it off, we were able to discuss the conclusion for our tax process after our investment appointment with James. While one could hope for such amazing efficiency and convenience, I never ever expected that under these circumstances. And to make it even more remarkable, just days before the taxes were done I sent in a last minute change. We had gotten a tax form that was mailed to us very late, so I sent it to Lynne the same day and that late change was incorporated into our completed filing. While were open-minded about our appointment with James, I did not expect we would be needing to move any money or make any new investments. And here too our James also greatly exceeded our expectations. We had this massive Trust document about which we had the vaguest of understandings. While James appropriately explained he does not give legal advice, he was able to explain in plain language, the purpose and uses of a Trust in a way we understood it like never before. This truly was full customer service without earning any money from us from new investments. For both Lynne and James, we had such comfortable, friendly discussions it was extremely easy to feel at home and trust their advice. Friendly service and a personal touch seems so obvious that everyone should use them, but they are rare, especially to the degree that we experienced with Lynne and James. Reflecting on this, another key word comes to mind, authenticity.

We ended up needing to make an unexpectedly large payment which we didn't find out about until April 1. (dropped off info in February) They say it's standard practice to just leave "drop off clients" sitting until the staffer gets to it. A drop off client is someone who puts all of their information into the provided envelope and takes it to their office. The delay in finding out how much we owed caused us significant financial harm. When we brought this to the attention of a manager he said it was a "coaching opportunity" for the employee. That is completely meaningless to someone who was just screwed over by your company.
