My truck would not start even after several attempts to jump it. I was in Warren Ohio and I called a Birrell's Towing, Bob Birrell showed pretty quickly and towed me back to his shop, right at quitting time but his mechanics Alvin and Jesse started diagnosing it and found out it was a bad starter. I would not recommend this place for anybody that got into an accident on the free way then used them as a towing company cops took the " ONLY KEY TO THE VEHICLE" I left the scene so they handed the tow truck driver "BOB" the key and it was in 4wd at the time so obviously he "tried" getting it out of 4wd by inserting the key right ? Well to his "professional knowledge" the key would not turn so he decided to go all the way to the shop and grab a flat bed and come back to get the vehicle "with the same fucking key ?¿ why not wiggle the key ? try to unlock the steering wheel ? he wanted to charge us double on the tow bill which was 225 + 225 = 450 then 30$ each for 7 days storage which is fine but because of your mistake with the key situation I gotta pay twice ? For your fuck up ? Screw that keep the damn car and keep your to good ego as well ! read more

Birrell's saved my ass in a really stressful situation. I needed a tow (and a ride) and I called around to a few different places before being referred to Birrell's by another tower (thank you Macho Man) because I needed a long distance flat-bed tow. Everything about my experience with them was pleasant-- from the dispatcher to the driver. On our way to the Vet with our dog our vehicle broke down. Not only did it break down, it caught on fire. A frightful experience to say the least! AAA sent Birrell Towing to our rescue! They saved the day for us when our motorhome broke down on the side of I80 in Youngstown. Kevin, their driver, towed us to Allstate Peterbilt of Youngstown and Allstate had us back on the road in less than two hours. Without the help of Kevin and Birrell's Towing Service, and knowing exactly where to tow us to get help, what could have been a multiple-day delay in Ohio turned out to be only a delay of a few hours. This was critical as we were on our way to Iowa to visit my mom who was gravely ill and passed away several days later. Can't recommend this company enough. read more
