Clay was great and is a tremendous wealth of knowledge about Birmingham. Clay picked us up at our hotel so we did not have to drive anywhere. Clay kept us informed about pick-up times via text and texted us the morning of the tour to make sure we were comfortable with the arrangements. On the tour, we started at Railway Park and learned about the layout of Birmingham including many of the local landmarks. This was a welcomed introduction to the city. We then headed to the breweries. At each of the three breweries, we got to try four different beers. Clay was able to describe the history of the brewery and tell us about their specialties and unique beers. Clay ask for our feedback on the beers at each and used that information at the next brewery. We had a great time, with great conversation. It was like going to each of the breweries with an old friend.

Good pacing of presentation, especially given how much information there was. Really learned a lot. Cannot recommend enough. Tour included outer areas like Dynamite Hill and the Bethel AME -- places you won't see if just walking between City Hall and 16th Street Baptist.

What a time we had! Just finished a girls night out with the Eat Drink Ride Food tours. It was soo…read moremuch fun and so worth the cost. We had a total of five stops to taste food, dessert and drinks. First stop was The Seafood King located in Lakeshore. We had a sample of the seafood basket which included shrimp, sausage, corn cob and a potato. Nice taste. Not over seasoned or under. Just right. It was a nice sample of some of the food they offer. Second stop was Jake's Soulfood in Hoover. We took a quick picture by Comedian Joys cutout then proceeded to sit for our food tasting. We had fried chicken, mac n cheese, cornbread and rice with beans. The chicken was cooked fresh and I personally would have liked a little more seasoning on the chicken but that's my preference. It was still good and so was the mac n cheese. This is when I started getting full. I did take the food I couldn't finish from Jake's home. Third stop was The Whole Scoop also located in Hoover. We were treated with a cone or bowl of ice cream (one scoop) of any flavor they had. The options were plenty. Our guide did advise us not to get vanilla, chocolate or strawberry because we can get those anytime. We needed to explore new flavors. I did... I got the dark chocolate raspberry truffle (I think that was the name). It was delicious and was a nice break from eating food. Yummy Then we traveled to Trussville and stopped at La Calle. We had tacos there. Nice spot and the tacos are authentic. They have a taco bar where you can additional toppings or get sauces. Our last stop was Corbeau Wine Bar. I have wanted to visit them for a while and now was my chance. We had a wine sample then had a quick tour of the wine bar concept. It's pretty amazing because you can sample as many wines as possible (for a fee and depending on the ounces). A great way to try before you commit to buying a full bottle of wine. The price points were reasonable. Overall a great fun experience with friends with cool music playing while we traveled. We danced some and sang along to a few songs. This is definitely an experience you should try.

Imagine my surprise when I got on the bus and my friends were on there. Joy wasn't our hostess this time. Tiffany was the hostess and she did a great job. Most of the restaurants we stopped at were new to me, which I loved! I like being able to try new places. We ate, drank, danced, and laughed! I was so caught up having fun that I didn't take many pictures and videos. At midnight, we had a toast to the new year of 2022! I definitely recommend you give this tour bus a try!

My niece and me each had our own wine flight ( $17 each for 4 pours) I had the Alabama dry and my niece has the Corbin fruits. We both enjoyed our selections. I also had a rum pina colada/ hurricane mixed slushy. Ozan also doubles as a distillery. They offer a small plate menu plus some pizzas. We didn't order any foods. The winery is really pretty and aesthetically appealing! As we walked up, I loved smelling the grapes in the vineyard! It was cool being back here for the first time in many years. Can't wait to return soon!!!

1/5 -- Extremely Disappointing Anniversary Experience…read more My husband and I chose Ozan Winery to celebrate our second wedding anniversary, and unfortunately, it was the worst winery experience I've ever had. I paid $103.61 for the Whistle Stop Express experience, which included a train ride, charcuterie board, wine tasting, and wine slushie tasting. What should have been a romantic, relaxing afternoon turned into a frustrating, disorganized, and rushed experience. Upon arriving, we discovered the winery was hosting its October pumpkin patch. This was not communicated when I purchased our tickets. The train station was packed, and everything seemed centered around the pumpkin patch, with little to no direction for winery guests. I even had to ask a conductor whether we were boarding the correct train. After a decent train ride, we were dropped off directly in the pumpkin patch with no signage or instructions on where winery guests should go. We found a gazebo selling wine and noticed charcuterie boards sitting out. Unfortunately, people without the required green wine-tasting wristbands were taking them, leaving my husband and me without ours. An employee told us someone would come down to escort the winery guests uphill, but nobody ever arrived. I tried calling the winery several times, only to repeatedly hear an automated message before being disconnected. Eventually, all six wine-tasting guests made their way uphill independently. Mind you, I was wearing 3-4-inch heels because I was dressed for my anniversary, not expecting to hike up and down a hill! There had been no advance warning about the walking conditions. Once we finally reached the winery, we stood in line with regular customers, still unsure where to go. Thankfully, one gentleman, whose name I believe was Heath, was extremely kind and accommodating. He genuinely tried to make the best of the situation, and I appreciate him. Unfortunately, the tasting was rushed because the train horn sounded before we even finished our final pours! We had to hurry to catch the return train. The gentleman kindly prepared wine slushies to go and arranged a charcuterie board after I explained we never received ours. However, we were forced to rush through everything rather than actually enjoy what we paid for. There wasn't even time to browse or purchase wine. What disappointed me most was the complete lack of consideration for guests who specifically paid for the winery experience. With multiple train cars available, even a designated seating area for winery guests would have helped create a more enjoyable atmosphere separate from the pumpkin patch crowds and children. I have absolutely nothing against families enjoying the pumpkin patch, but that was not the experience I purchased for my wedding anniversary. My husband even joked that he was going to tell everyone I took him to a pumpkin patch for our anniversary, because that's honestly what it felt like! For $103.61, I expected clear communication, organization, and sufficient time to enjoy the advertised experience. Instead, we spent more time confused, waiting, walking, and rushing than actually enjoying the winery. I would genuinely appreciate a refund because I do not feel we received the experience we paid for. The only reason this experience gets a 1/10 instead of a 0 is because of the one employee who made an effort to help us. He deserves recognition. I truly regret choosing Ozan Winery for such a special occasion. I've attended several wine tastings, and this was by far the worst. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
