Great Louvre and Musee D Orsay tour with our guide Manu. Highly recommended guide and experience in Paris.

I purchased a tour and had a fantastic guide. Hugo had a masters in art history, which really showed during our tour. He showed us the most important things in the museum. He called it the 3 divas of the Louvre. Venus de Milo, Winged Victory, and the Mona Lisa. He explained many bits of information on each of these most impressive sites. Things that you cannot know from just any tour book or even some guides. Undoubtedly this was the best tour I've ever had, and this location called for it. We were told that if you spent 1 minute at every exhibit in this museum, it would take you over a month to see everything. What a great place this is. A place where history has stopped and tells you a story. The art is unbelievable. The status are amazing. The atmosphere is awe-inspiring. I absolutley loved the experience of being at the Louvre. Even with a map, you will be surprised at what you find around the next corner. You could spend a whole day here and go around the world and so far back in time that it doesn't seem real. I recommend getting a tour from a reputable company. It will make a huge difference in your experience. read more

Louvre Museum Guided Tour - Reserved Entry - Semi-Private 8 People Max Our guide, Jean, was quite excellent, mixing interesting facts and intelligent humor during our tour. My spouse and I were part of a group of four, creating an intimate experience at the world's largest museum. In addition to being ushered to the world-famous Venus de Milo, Mona Lisa, and The Winged Victory of Samothrace, Jean effortlessly directed our attention to capture prime interactions with each piece. Details which can only be experienced in-person, were organically choreographed and designed by Jean. There were several moments in which we felt as if we were alone with the art, embraced in a rich experience with the artists and their work. From descriptions of renaissance painters creating pigments by grinding semi-precious stones, to the history of the Louvre, Jean truly provided a one-of-kind experience! We offer a 4-star review and feedback absolutely unrelated to Jean, and directly connected to Babylon Tours, specifically the starting point of the tour. Although it is clever of Babylon Tours to ask customers to meet at the Louis XIV statue in front of the Louvre's Pyramid, most other tour companies do the same. Our guide's name was provided in advance, so we arrived 15-minutes early to divide ourselves for locating him. Most all of the guides were wearing lanyards with name badges, but these were not always large enough to be legible without directly approaching the guides. My advice: create weatherproof signage for your guides to be easily recognized by your tour customers. Our tour guide was Malaika F. and she was awesome. After our first tour got cancelled by another tour company (we don't know why) I contacted Babylon for a tour 2 days later. While waiting for the other tour company, we noticed so many different tour guides from Babylon. After signing up for a tour, we showed up at the Louvre at our time and Malaika was already there, which was a huge relief. There were 4 of us in our group and another couple. So 6 of us total which is a perfect number to tour. Malaika was very informative of the highlights, fun, outgoing, and a pleasure to be with. She knew her history, asked us questions about what we knew (which wasn't much) and was very enthusiastic. We loved our tour and were so happy we decided to use Babylon (instead of the other tour company, who no showed). I would recommend Babylon and Malaika. Thank you! read more

Miriam was our tourguide and gave us probably the best tour we've ever had, and we've done quite a few. She was knowledgeable as would be expected, but she was enthusiastic throughout and it was clear she loved her work. I thought I my art history as well as my mythology, but Miriam added details that I didn't know that added so much to the experience. Parts of the Louvre were blocked off for some reason, but she persisted and found a way to reach the areas that she wanted. We finished in the Napoleon apartments. Not my first time in Paris, but definitely the first time I really wanted to really get to know some of the history of the city and its famous sights. So when my hotel concierge requested a group walking tour I thought it might be interesting. I was really blown away by how great my tour ended up being. We were a group of about 12 people everyone was really friendly and I think we all could easily say our guide was second to none. What I was first afraid of was that like some tours I've done in the past this might be a history lecture on foot. But it wasn't like that at all. The guide was young extremely entertaining and fun, and actually left me will a lot of useful information and crazy knowledge of this tremendous city and its rich history culture. My husband and I went to Paris for our 40th anniversary. Decided to do a 2 hour private tour of the Louvre for a couple of reasons. It is massive and we wanted to be sure we saw the best pieces. Babylon Tours was great and the tour guide Lucia was very knowledgable and interesting! My girlfriend and I really enjoyed ourselves. We weren't sure if we wanted to do a tour but we are really glad we did. We've been to the Louvre before, but this was much better experience. We got some great insights and history that made it a much more enjoyable experience. Plus no lines! Not a big fan of museums, but after doing the Louvre, we even decided to do the Musee d'Orsay tour as well. I took the Louvre tour with Babylon. With being such a huge museum I wanted a overview of the big pieces and wanted to be sure I used my time well. Out guides name was I believe Alex and he was the best. He did a great job of not only getting us to he main pieces but also giving us a historic overview of France and French Culture. There was only 4 of us in the group so it was not one of those tours where we had to put in an earpiece and work harder trying to keep up with the group than enjoy the art. GREAT TOUR great time.
