Pedal bike bar
Nicole G.

We went on a Birmingham Pedal Tour when we visited over the Fourth of July and had a good time! Our group chose the Lakeview, Avondale, Pepper Place private tour from 3-5pm. For the private tour, the pricing is $350 for 8-14 passengers. We arrived early and signed our waivers online. We were confused about the alcohol policy from the wording on their website. Note: you are able to bring your own alcohol on the pedal bike bar but you just have to leave it on there (obviously can't bring it into the places you stop at.) Also, we were had no idea how many stops we were able to go on during our tour. Online they list 10 stops for this tour and "actual stops may vary." However, we only had time to visit Back 40, Trim Tab, and Ghost Train. You only have 20 minutes at each stop because you have to account for pedal time. If you have a large group and don't want to rush everyone drinking, two stops may be all you want to do. We were so glad we chose this tour and got to visit some cool local breweries. I've been to Back 40 before but never to Trim Tab and we enjoyed their outdoor space. I think if no one else had reserved tours at the time, that it's an opportunity to provide discounted pricing to fill up slots. We were the only ones there at that time on the Fourth weekend and all of their other pedal bike bars were untouched! Luckily for us, we got to choose the bigger pedal bike bar that was motorized so we didn't have to pedal too much. It was a hot one so we were happy about the help. What to wear: sweat-proof material, especially if you don't have a motorized bike in the summer! Ladies, I'm talking sports bra, bike shorts, and gym shoes so you're ready to pedal. Derek (I think that was his name) was our tour guide. I think if he brought higher energy to our tour it was have made the experience pop. Offering some water to everyone drinking and pedaling in the heat would have been a kind touch too. We brought the fun though with our group and playlist (connected on our phone.) All around, it was a fun time and we'd do it again!

We did a small bike tour with 6 people and I was a little skeptical about the size of the bike at first but it turned out to be a lot of fun! It ended up being $35/person and hit up 3-4 bars (~30 min per bar) along our route. It was pretty easy to pedal (thanks to my friends who work out lol) and I had a lot of fun biking around town. Definitely recommend this experience if you want to try something new in Birmingham!

Very informative and fun to chat with. She made us welcome and offered some neat ideas of how she uses the wine jellies as a meal base in cooking! Their wines were nice, not overly sweet (a couple sweet options) we opted for a wonderful Riesling. I don't usually go white but theirs was bright, refreshing and not much tannin. I purchased it to go with a seafood dish! Can't wait to open it! Tip: no food or snack tray options available. They don't have signature glasses to buy.

Including your kids ssn numbers in this computer..lol..to make sure that you don't sell the bike for drugs..I know what your thinking..?did i get offended upon his last statement? Nope..I thought everyone was a drug addict..so I agreed with register guys ways of putting tables on people from any said back ground...it's only right? Correct everyone's doing it?Maybe it's just because im at Fellowship house..or because I have tattoos..who knows..or maybe it's because I didn't clean the toilet good enough..ir I emptied the wrong trash can for him..Who knows for real..but now im a drug addict abd im going to sell this bike before i leave that parking lot and run back( 20 feet ) lol and explain to the register guy.." i loaned my bike out for some meth and the guy was supposed to be back..over 10 mins ago." Please call the police..and by the way..can i get another one untill mine is located?lolIll get to the point..youll want to sit down for this one..im for real..take a seat..yes you..sit!!! Ok i just left bike shop ( Non - Profi ) and the faulty part on the bike i worked for was a spindle that goes on the back tire..and after it was fixed..the said price of $69.95.. on a sliding scalw mind you..Yelp..im thinking just like im supposed to think? Are you out of your freaking mind?I work for a broken bike which you fix later and charge me a almost $70.00 ? Really..?Hold on ive got to sit down for that one..myself.$70.00? Wtf? So i ask register guy..hey..how much for that bike over there?Register guy says $100. As is..i say..doent it make sense..i pay for that bike and give back to you this one you just fixed?Register guy says..aNo..i dont want that bike..so pay me what you can on the part and labor.Im like..yelp you guessed it!!! Wtf? So he wouldnt budge..so i payed $5.00 on the fixed broken bike that i worjed and cleaned toilets for..a bike that even the Register guy didnt want..so thats my truth and experience from this ( Non -Proft ) Redemptive Cycles in Birmingham alabama..my advice..dont donate..dont purchase..dont say hi to the Register guy..cause he thinks your a drug addict anyways..Peace..Brian L.
