Clay was great and is a tremendous wealth of knowledge about Birmingham. Clay picked us up at our hotel so we did not have to drive anywhere. Clay kept us informed about pick-up times via text and texted us the morning of the tour to make sure we were comfortable with the arrangements. On the tour, we started at Railway Park and learned about the layout of Birmingham including many of the local landmarks. This was a welcomed introduction to the city. We then headed to the breweries. At each of the three breweries, we got to try four different beers. Clay was able to describe the history of the brewery and tell us about their specialties and unique beers. Clay ask for our feedback on the beers at each and used that information at the next brewery. We had a great time, with great conversation. It was like going to each of the breweries with an old friend.

We were able to wear shorts and some of the booths were covered. Some of my favorites were the Blue Pants Candy Bar Pinstripe, the Catawba Peanut Butter and Jelly Time, Parish Brewing Company's Strawberry Canebrake and Sierra Nevada's Trip in the Woods.

I was actually passing through headed on an adventure when I saw the sign stating that you could pick your own muscadines...well yes, I think I will. I love that thick skinned grape! Do you want a fresh fruit without the scare of bacteria or parasites? Visit this vineyard and put your mind at ease. The customer service is always the best and the wine is especially good. $12 for a gallon of muscadines is a really good price compared to 6.99 for a standard carton at the grocery store. My suggestion is to go on a day in which the sun is not **LL hot!! I will be going back for my 3rd visit soon.

When wife and I drive around Birmingham we still years later mention or talk about sites Wolfgang told us about during the tour when we pass them. We've been on ghost tours in New Orleans (by far our best one), Key West, Salem Massachusetts, and Savannah Georgia, and several other cities. Wolfgang's Birmingham tour ranks near the top. It's a beautiful spot to watch the sunset and golden hour with great views overlooking Birmingham. Parking is free, but admission was $8, which gives you access past the ticket booth and up to the tower for unobstructed views of the city. Just something to keep in mind: if you don't purchase admission, there really isn't much of a view accessible from the free area. I didn't visit the museum, as my main reason for coming was to catch the sunset. The viewing area isn't very large, and there happened to be a group of about 15-20 people there at the same time, so I had to maneuver around a bit to find a good spot for pictures and video. Still, the views were beautiful and worth the visit. This would also be a nice place to bring a sandwich or something small and enjoy a quick picnic while waiting for golden hour and sunset. Definitely a pretty Birmingham stop, especially if you enjoy city views and sunsets like I do
